My starter on my Acura TLX died on Sunday. I had the car towed to Firestone for one reason only, because they were open on Sunday and I thought I could get it diagnosed and possibly fixed same day. None of that happened. Next day Firestone calls to tell me they want $1755 for the starter (labor included). I called Rubin, and he offered to do it for $802 all-in. So I had my car towed again, 2nd time in 2 days (god bless AAA), this time to Premier Choice and Rubin got it done within 1 days and for nearly $1k cheaper. He installed an aftermarket starter, whereas I think Firestone offered an OEM, but for that difference in cost I don't really care. An OEM starter is only about $200 difference from aftermarket, so in reality Firestone was trying to gouge me on the markup. They thought they held me hostage and could gouge me because I had my car towed to them. Nope. With AAA my toes are paid for. My car was hit in a car accident near the head light and cracked my bezel. Which holds my head light and protects it. Thank god that's all that happened , but other then that they were very informative and honest with me. Other auto shops were charging me 1,000+ that's crazy for little to none damage. Just moved here and couldnt find an auto mechanic that had time or wanted to fix my licene plate bracket. I call and they told me to come in and they would take a look at it. When I arrived the owner came out and was able to help me. The screws had rusted to my car and broke off when trying to remove them myself. The owner grabbed his tools and was able to drill out the old screws and replace the threading and monted the new plate and bracket. He was very friendly and down to earth. After paying a very reasonable price, I Left feeling like this place was like the small town mechanic. The guy everyone knew and could trust doing a good job and not over charging. I took my car to a mechanic earlier this week due to a screeching sound that was coming from the engine. I was told that it needed a power steering pump so I went ahead and purchased it online. I ended up taking my car to Premier Choice Auto Solutions to get the part installed because in the past they have done some great work on my car. Thank god the mechanics there analyzed my car before installing the part because it turned out that the power steering pump wasn't the problem at all. The mechanics ended up figuring out that the problem was actually the power steering pulley. They ordered the part and installed it for a reasonable price and were honest with me about what they discovered. THIS IS THE MOST DISHONEST MECHANIC/PERSON I HAVE EVER MET!!!!! I have been building a relationship with this auto sop for over 2yrs In August 2014 I brought in my 2007 Honda Odyssey for major repairs. I scheduled to replace the timing belt, both front axles, shocks and struts, spark plugs, a/c compressor, expansion valve, and drier. I PAID THE MECHANIC RUBIN GITTENS $2,800 FOR THE WORK.....BUT! he did not do the job properly. He put a bent axle in my car which caused the car to shake violently while driving on the highway. He did not fix the a/c properly causing the unit to blow warm air or not get colder than 78 degrees. I had to take the car back to him more than four times because of the a/c problem...and get this...he tells me that he is frustrated with the car and will not touch it anymore. He actually told me that I "better go somewhere else". Finally, I did go to another shop and the mechanic there told me that the unit was leaking at the shrader valves...a $4.00 part! After 3 weeks of taking the car back to Premier and not having the problem addressed or resolved, I found another person to fix the issue in 1 hour for a total of $57. read more

Someone recommended this shop to me, after days on hesitation, I finally went to the shop and met with the owner, Rubin, who was nice and attentive. I felt comfortable and trusted him to do an honest job. I trusted him so much that I left my vehicle blindly in his care and even agreed to have service done over the phone without even asking for the prices as he promised to be fair and honest. About 3.5 hours later, I received a call from Rubin that my vehicle was ready. At the shop I was met by his wife who handed me a bill for almost $2,000. I was shocked on the charges and couldn't understand what was I being charged for. I asked the wife to speak to Rubin and she responded that they were about to close the shop and that he was busy so, I understood the scam, I paid the bill and left. The largest charge on my bill was $295.88 for 1 motor mount that he charged me 7.2 hours of labor @ $75 per hour ($540 total) put it on. When I got home, all I physically saw that was actually worked on were new brake pads and rotors. In total I was charged $955 for labor (almost 13 hours of work) even though he only worked on my car 3.5 hours and $819 in parts plus tax. Since taking my vehicle to this shop it has given my so many other engine, computer, and mechanical problems in addition to the originally issues that led me to the shop in the first place. This is all my fault though for trusting a complete stranger, thinking I could help an young entrepreneur to fix my vehicle's issues, and leaving my vehicle versus staying and waiting/watching the work get done on it. I left with a $2000 credit card debt, my vehicle in worse condition, and again with the feelings on shops always cheating woman out of hard earned money. Trust me, lesson learned. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this shop to anyone that I care about. read more
