Straightforward, transparent, and truly focused on helping the customer instead of just running up a bill. The situation with my car was not simple. I left a great review to the previous owner manny. However my experience with the new owners has not been great. First it was the breaks on my Benz c300, they changed them and never changed the sensors (which it's only 2) and inexpensive or hard to replace. I left and the break light kept turning on. I took it back and they didn't do anything about it. Second, a few months later the starter on my car needed to be replaced. They charged us close to 1k to replace it, when I went to pick it up, they told me it was time to get rid of the car, that it was the timing belt. Mind you, the car is less than than 6 years old. They said it was the timing belt and that it would cost more than the car to get it fixed and recommended that I get rid of the car. We left disappointed with Mercedes Benz, to think that they made such a bad car. We drove away and the car was shaky and driving as if it wanted to break down, after paying almost 1k. They highly recommended that we traded in asap because it was worthless. We decided to trade it in, but we wanted a second opinion on the "timing belt" as the car is not that old. We took the car to a Benz certified mechanic, and he said there was nothing wrong with our car, that the problem was the AFTERMARKET part that they had installed (starter), per this certified mechanic, you are not supposed to use aftermarket parts on Mercedes Benz. We had to pay this mechanic for the authentic part to get our car to drive normal (which was $800, a lot cheaper than what lakes auto charged us). If you don't know how to work a certain car brand, honesty would've gotten you a better review. Manny the previous owner, used to know how to work on euro cars and never changed my car oil unless it was with the Benz oil. I requested that oil on my last oil change and they did not honor that, they said any oil would be fine. I left with a bitter taste because manny would order it from Mercedes Benz the day before I took my car and charged a lot less. Anyways, bottom line is... if you have a Benz these guys don't know anything about them and will cause you more trouble. Thank your euro car somewhere else... I've kept forgetting to post this review but the break light keeps coming up and it reminded me to do this. read more

I recently went to replace my power steering pump and they did so at a great price and in just a couple hours. This is the second time i bring my car here. I don't know anything about cars so the only information I was able to give was that it was making a noise. Not long after I dropped it off, I got a quote, sent it to every guy i know in the car industry, and they ALL said it was the best price i'd get anywhere (which gave me so much trust because i went in as a single woman clearly ignorant about cars). I called in to make an appointment to get an oil change done. I was greeted very rudely by the owner who told me I need to wear a mask and to step outside. I stepped outside and advise them that I am unable to wear a mask due to a medical condition additionally, mask mandates are illegal in the state of Florida. They refused me service even though I asked if I could stay outside while they perform the oil change and take my card inside to pay (despite the discrimination). I own an 18-year-old BMW with over 100,000 miles. Recently was making clunky noises and writing really rough. Took it into Lakes Auto and was promptly greeted by Nelson and Danny. The car had major damage to the rack and pinion assembly as well as the steering pressure line hose, and the power steering reservoir hoses were leaking. There was oil spilled all over the undercarriage. All the work was done flawlessly in one day and needless to say the car rides so smooth I am so happy with the work that they did. I have been going here for years. It's conveniently located to my house, so it's easy to drop off and pick up the cars. The manager, Manny, has always been very honest with us regarding all our car troubles. About 3 weeks ago my raider and water pump blew up (not a fun experience when you are in the car). I brought my car to Manny and replaced both parts and did additional tune ups that the car needed. So, after driving for about 3 weeks with the new parts I realized that the car was still heating up and water was still leaking. I took the car in this morning with no notice and immediately was attended. The radiator has a defect from the manufacture. They took me over to the car so I can see what they were talking about and made sure that I understood what they were explaining. They guaranteed that they would replace the radiator and have my car ready in 2 hours. All of this free of charge since the radiator was under warranty. Don't drive by too fast or you'd pass this place. I use to come every time I had an issue. They've always been reasonable on prices and if you're curious about why you had an issue with your car they go into detail to prevent you from getting the problem again. I stuck around long enough to meet/speak with every employee. The only reason I stopped coming is cause they get very busy. If you have serious issues you can leave your car with them. Also last time I had issues with my car I couldn't stay but I was told to leave it and come back in 3 hours. My errands ran late so I came back 5 hrs later and they didn't even touch my car. Although I had this unfortunate experience they really are great and their prices are reasonable. read more
