Our experience with Chad was excellent. My husband's 2001 Dodge Durango had been sitting at our apartment complex for months because we were just not wanting to deal with the stress of dishonest mechanics giving us the run around. The bottom line was that the car would not start. A couple months back my husband was able to get it started but it started smoking really bad so he parked it and we kinda just put it in the back of our mind since we had other means of getting around. But then when he would check back on it, it just wouldn't start anymore. Our major concern was that we now needed to tow the car to figure out what was wrong with it and that's when I came across Chad's ad on Yelp. A mobile mechanic had not crossed our mind! We called him up and he was here the next day! When Chad checked out the car he gave us his honest opinion which we greatly appreciated. He told us that in order to get a deep diagnostic on the car that we needed to visit a certified Dodge dealership, which we did (he even recommended a great low cost towing company to get the car there). Once the dealership checked out the car and gave us the diagnosis, we started to panic. THE LIST WENT ON AND ON! But the main issue was that the car first needed a new battery AND had an overheating problem. They even warned us not to drive the car home! But armed with this new information we were then able to contact Chad to let him know what they said. He advised us and we were able to make an informed decision. So we ended up getting a new battery from the dealership (since we would have had to pay for the diagnostic anyhow), driving home and trusting Chad to take care of our overheating issue. First off allow me to say I have a background in automotive service and usually do my own work as I have seldom found someone who does quality work especially in South Florida. I needed to have some work done on my truck as I now have a bad back and can no longer do what I used to do. I found him on Craigslist and sent him a text with my year, make, model and work needing to be done. I half expected no reply it being Craigslist, but within 14 minutes received a reply with a very fair quote. I responded with my availability and asked if it fit his schedule. We worked out a day and time. Chad contacted me when he was headed over and showed up at the scheduled time which was 930. His professionalism and character spoke volumes upon our meeting and within minutes my truck was on jack stands. He worked diligently and carried on casual courteous conversation during his time working. For the amount of work I had done, he was impeccably proficient and I could tell he truly knew what he was doing with a wrench. The work I had done was rotors and pads all around, all four shocks, inner and outer tie rods and sway bar bushings. Within three hours time, he had the truck completed. He worked efficiently and kept the work area spotless. He never cursed or was unprofessional in any way. Truly in all my years of being around the automotive industry and working with other professionals, Chads work ethic and skill was amazing and he had the job done without any issues. Having had the tie rods done I knew I'd need to get an alignment but surprisingly, the steering wheel was almost perfectly straight and the truck tracked almost perfectly straight. i've had a disabled car in the driveway for a week--paralyzed with the thought of dealing with the dealership service dept. or some other garage looking to take advantage. decided since i don't want to go to them, maybe i can get someone to come to me. decided on chad based on the number of positive reviews he's received here on yelp. i am normally reserved when things sound to good to be true but the words honest, trustworthy, fair, communicative, and knowledgeable seemed to be a common thread running through all the reviews; i found them all to apply. after contact this morning and a brief discussion of my car's problems (chad is easy to talk to and clear and unrushed in his explanations.) chad gave me a time frame in which to expect him (not set in stone) which worked in my schedule as i had a small job to take care of. someone was home to give him access to the car if he arrived early---who ever arrives early? i was only away for an hour and a half. as i arrived home, my car had been moved, but there was no chad. he had arrived early; he had diagnosed my problem; he had fixed my problem; and he had test driven my vehicle to make sure everything was good; and then he was gone. i gave him a call and he gave again a clear, unrushed, understandable explanation of what he had found wrong and what he had to do to fix it. everything at a very fair price. i would not hesitate to use him in the future. recommended highly! read more

I found Chad on Angie's List as his ratings were all 5 star. I have never used a mobile mechanic before and this was the best decision I've made with regards to mechanics. I have a 1994 Mustang GT that I bought in 2011 with the A/C not blowing cold air. Since I lived in California at the time I did not need A/C, however I moved back to Fort Lauderdale and needed it to be fixed. As the car possibly sat for a decade without functional A/C he fully explained there could be complications over the phone and we set up a meeting at my house. Chad texted me 30 minutes before arriving and was right on time. He diagnosed the problems, replaced the compressor and charged the system with refrigerant. However there was a electrical problem that needed to be seen by an electrician. Chad referred me to his A/C supplier where I brought my car and had it fixed. Chads knowledge and expertise is top notch and the convenience of him coming to my house was fantastic. His price was probably 30% less than a shop would charge since he has little overhead and works for himself. I'm VERY picky who I select to work on my car and Chad is the man, I will use him from now on. Additionally my dad's A/C in his 1998 Astro Van went out and Chad completely fixed the vans A/C the same day as my Mustang. Was having AC trouble and coolant leak that 2 previous mechanics couldn't trace the source but yet gave me maybe / possibilities and quote, i was like OK your not sure what it is but the quote is for sure... Found chad online had great reviews he came out flushed my AC system and re charged it, in his words its working which it is cool and better than than just recirculating the hot air for sure but its not cold as it should and quoted me a replacement condenser which was Very fair from the other quote I received and hes coming back out next week for that.. Then he hooked up a pressure pump and found the coolant leak in 5 minutes if that, it wasn't $250 Radiator as last mechanic THOUGHT and quoted me it was the coolant reservoir tank had a hair line crack, not having one or able to go pick one up immediately he removed and used a soldering gun to melt and fuse the plastic together until replacement tank comes in, I was skeptical but chad assured me it would hold for sure and upon completion he hooked pressure pump up and by God it went to 15psi and held.. Honest and fair mechanics like Chad are very rare these days and I'm 54 and have seen / talk to my fair share of mechanics over the years and Chad had hands down is as described in reviews..can tell you for sure he'll be doing our cars and my parents from here out read more

Chad's punctual, clear in his explanation of what he's doing or finding as he works on your vehicle, and very quick in communicating with you to setup an appointment. I had him come take a look at my VW before having it towed to a dedicated VW repair facility. His setup in his mobile workstation is impressive to say the least. His work van is clearly well organized and you can tell he takes pride in the work he does. Unfortunately the problem ran deeper than we both expected and was beyond the scope of what he can handle being a general mechanic and not a dedicated European/VW specialist. As soon as it was evident this was the case, Chad honest was about it and didn't try to drag things out or waste my time and money just to earn a quick buck. He charged me a nominal fee that honestly just covers the hour he was there, gas to get to me and some general supplies we used in diagnosing what the issue was. For that I am very grateful and his level of honesty and transparency are beyond the average level of service you get from most businesses today regardless of industry. Let me preface this, I have never written a Yelp review before, but Chad changed all that! I have never been so impressed with a mechanic in my life, from the get-go he is friendly, insanely punctual, and personable. When he ran into a problem instead of quitting or coming up with a cockamamie problem to fix he dug deeper, going above and beyond! And when all was set and done, he was able to get my car working again, in my own driveway, a value that would be at least $50 worth of towing, so in all essentiality looking at it cost effective wise, him showing up and doing his diagnostic work was only $25. And when he got it booted up without hefty repairs? He charged me nothing but the diagnostic fee and gave me recommendations As well as a simple layman's term understanding of the potential problems down the road. I don't really write reviews very often, or really at all. I called his ad on Craigslist to get my A/C fixed and I was describing to Chad the symptoms that my vehicle was experiencing and he told me it was most likely the compressor and gave me a pretty fair price to pay. I agreed, however, it turned out that wasn't the problem. It had to do with the wiring that ran to the compressor. He told me that he wasn't an expert at the electrical system, but still managed to fix it. He never charged me for the compressor and I never felt like he was trying to take advantage of my ignorance of vehicles. My extent of working on cars is changing my tire and changing the oil. So it was good to know that I was dealing with someone honest. He was also punctual. I was unfortunately the one running late for once. Anyway, I would recommend him to anyone. Well, at least assuming my A/C will continue working. If it doesn't I'll be here to add an update to my review if it lets me and let you know to go with someone else. But it worked today perfect for that first time in months so I'll have to give him 5 stars for a fair price and honesty. read more

Ive had bad experiences in past with mechanics and get very timid when it comes to getting my car serviced..being a single mom and not having all the money as I would like i cant afford unnecessary repairs.. Last mechanic "diagnosed" front end noise to various suspension parts, $646.00 later noise is still there.. I recently used Chads mobile repair service, As a single mom and like most people in genaeral with mechanic work period I was a little apprehensive, However I'm SO glad I made the call, Chad is very professional, very attentive.. I had an excellent experience with Chad. My alternator crapped out, so I researched some prices and shops online. I found Chad on here and sent him a message right through the app. He responded quickly and quoted me for the part and the labor. The quote for the part was right on par with what I found myself online;- I do not think Chad marks up the parts at all! The cost of labor was extremely respectful, not to mention the fact that Chad comes to you; - you're gonna save on towing if the car doesn't run. I set up an appointment, Chad came EXACTLY on time, was very professional and courteous, and had my alternator popped in and car running in just over 30 minutes. When we spoke on the phone, he also said I might need a new battery and perhaps serpentine belt, but he would take a look once he arrived. The initial well known franchise shop I went to who did my tires gave me a laundry list of services recommended / needed and huge price that was ridiculously way out of my single mom budget.. I bought some aftermarket rotors/brakes thinking that anyone would install it. I was wrong. Some shops wanted an arm and a leg. Found out about Chad's Mobile Mechanics, "hesitantly" called him up and he had no qualms about installing them. I say "hesitant", because I'm used to taking my car to a physical shop. Anyway, making an appointment was a breeze. He showed up right on time (clock flipped 11am, and I looked out the window and he pulled up!) He was very pleasant, and first thing he did was put on clean gloves! He was quick to set up, and proceeded to replaced rotors and brakes. We chatted a bit afterwards, and he said that the brakes/rotors I purchased are good products. I found him to be honest, friendly, and his pricing was slightly below other stand-alone mechanics (one cannot compare to dealers or national chains).
