When I stepped to the counter she greeted me like I was a regular at the shop "Good morning how can we help you today" with a big smile. I told her I was there for a simple oil change she asked if I'd like them to do a tire rotation she said "it's recommended when doing an oil change, but it's up to you" I didn't feel pressured to add services I didn't come for. Amanda was able to get the car taken care of right away I waited about an hour for the oil change and tire rotation, the wait was a breeze. The service tech wasn't condescending when he spoke with me, which if you've ever taking your car to a dealership you know what I'm talking about. After this I will never go to the dealership for service again. I plan to bring my other car in soon. Big thank you to Local Auto Repair. Robert, the owner, greeted me very kindly, and then later told me my splash guard (or whatever it's called) was loose and tightened it up for free, but I would have definitely been willing to pay a little extra for the effort. As I was driving home, I noticed that they also wiped inside of my car windshield too. He still only charged me 20 bucks for the parts and labor, and it was done in 20ish minutes for everything. Also, when Robert was on the phone, I felt like he sounded like the hosts of the old NPR show, Car Talk. Nice place with some rustic charm. I like that the business is local and run by people who care about cars and keeping customers. I'll likely switch to this place when it's time to get my oil changed.
