My review is simple: Go to Jim's for honest, dependable, and trustworthy service. You won't be disappointed.

I broke down on the turnpike and managed to eek my way to this garage. What a hidden gem The gentleman took me right in and fixed my car and put me right back on the road and the price was crazy fair. I want one of his shops near where I live because this kind of service is unheard of in a car repair shop, but I have to say I'm so glad I found it. read more

Cameron is the absolute BEST. New to area, and it's great finding a place that will take care of you and you car. And you can TRUST. For any or all your car needs and for a piece of mind I recommend take it here read more

I had a hard time finding someone to replace some bad speakers and possibly the backup camera in my 2019 Dodge Ram. Funny, I tried to call the Dodge dealer... who better to ask than the Dodge dealer.. no one would answer the phone, and when I left a message, no one would return my call. So my son's father in law told me about Jim's Automotive, and it happens to be down the street from my job. I called and made an appointment. I spoke to Cameron ( I hope I spelled his name correctly). I made an appointment. When my truck was ready, everything was repaired. Cameron explained what was done and checked that everything worked (speakers) It turned out that the backup camera was not the issue but the display. I will be back! Reasonably priced, the truck was done on time. Honest and extremely professional. What more could ya ask for? See you next time! read more

Jim's Auto Repair - Wow this is a clean shop - Auto Repair Near Me - Pompano Beach, Florida

See all

I recently took my car to Jim's Auto Repair for a second opinion and it was discovered that the repair that was suggested at a different mechanic's shop was not necessary at this time. I was so thankful for Cameron's honesty and completely trusted his judgement and expertise. When it comes time for my next car service, I will go to Jim's Auto without hesitation. read more

Jim's is the first auto repair shop I would recommend. Cameron, who recently took over the shop, is highly regarded in my community. The prices are honest as are any suggestions for repairs. There's a comfortable waiting area if you need same. Five read more

Great. Clear explanations, no games, fixed the problem. Excellent communication every step of the way, including scheduling. These guys are busy because they are good. read more

Referred by friends. Needed second opinion. Was told I didn't need the expensive repairs another place was pushing me to do. They were honest with me, did only what needed to be done, and prices were reasonable. Was able to wait in their waiting area, which is comfortable, with a clean restroom! Very satisfied. read more

I went to Jim's on the recommendation of my brother. My brother said Jim's does good work at a reasonable price. So I brought my wife's car there to determine what was wrong with the air conditioning. He diagnosed the problem and gave me a quote to do the job. Although it was higher than some of the quotes we received it was well within other quotes we received. We decided to wait a little longer to do the repair. Jim was understanding and didn't try to get us to do the job right away. Recently, my battery died and I needed to get it replaced. He sold me an Interstate battery and was able to get me in and out in about two hours. He was even able to do an oil change even though he was very busy that day. Even though he is a little far for me to drive, I will definitely make Jim's my go to mechanic for all my vehicle service needs. read more

Started going to Jim's Auto for my truck's scheduled maintenance after having some trouble with the dealership. Cameron, the general manager, was very easy to work with, always provided in-depth explanations & honest. He did such good work, I started bringing my wife's car and eventually our company's fleet vehicles as well. Highly recommend for anyone looking for good reliable maintenance and repair work. read more

An acquaintance of ours recommended Jim's to us, and I am so so thankful. They were absolutely marvelous. I took my car into Audi first, and they gave me a repair estimate for many things that were absolutely not needed, totalling over $12,500. I then took it to Jim's, where they did a thorough and professional evaluation, and repaired three key components for the total cost, including parts, labor, and taxes, of just over $2000. Quite a difference. I can't recommend Jim's highly enough. They were absolutely a joy to deal with, and their level of professionalism and expertise is unparalleled. read more

Honest and reliable. I definitely recommend this place. However, they are very busy so you do need to schedule ahead of time and give them time to do the work. read more

My entire family has come here for longer than I have been able to drive. Between us all, he probably services about 10 cars in the family and there's a reason for that. Bob absolutely takes care of you and your vehicle. He is trust worthy and will never sell you something you don't need or want. He gives you the peace of mind about car repairs and maintenance. Will never take my car anywhere else. read more

Timely repair and honest business at a fair price. Bob is always very friendly and takes his time to explain the work to be done.

It is always nice to find a place that you can highly recommend. Jim's auto repair is one of the best finds ever. They are honest and fair priced and take care of their customers. We have used them for years and would never go anywhere else. It is a pleasure to do business with them. read more

Came in last week with a tire that had a nail in it. The owner/manager was very busy but I was strapped for time and he got me in and out in a few minutes. The shop was very well organized and very clean. The price for the repair was reasonable as well. A very good place to get your vehicle serviced. read more

These guys havent let me down in over 5 years! Reliable and trustworthy. They get the job done right every time!

After going to Pep Boys for what I thought was an oil change and tapping off all fluids, ie wiper, brake and radiator fluids, I took my van to Jim's.. where he told me that the radiator had NO fluids in it. Rest assured, I'm bringing my van only to Jim's my. Honest and knows his business. I will never use Pep Boys again. read more

My bro-in-law recommended this place to me after I got a repair estimate from the Volkswagen dealer. Jim's saved me almost $400 on the repair that I really needed and saved me another $600+ on the repair that I really did not need. read more

I have used this shop since1991 when the original owners still owned it, when Jim the original owner was selling he promised he wouldn't sell his shop to anyone that wouldn't treat his customers with the same level of service and honesty that he had. He did not let any of us down. When Bob purchased the shop he soon showed not only what an exceptional shop they are but that customers really do come first. I send everyone and anyone I know to him. I drive an hour from Palm Beach Gardens now to have him work on my car when it needs it. You will not be disappointed. He is the BEST!!! Honest, straightforward and EXCELLENT! read more

Honest men at work! I'm so glad we know about this place. These guys do such a good job. They explain everything, they break it down for you and the prices are reasonable. My mom has been coming here a long time so when we move here we needed a good mechanic after getting too many run around from other places. I only wish I came to Jim first. We've had Fred and Cameron work on our car and they did a great job! When u walk into their office there are thank you cards everywhere from customers. They've even had to take some down due to the amount they were getting. Here, they're always busy so call ahead and make an appointment. But know that when they look at your car there's nothing rush about it. Very thorough and the best price around. Trust we learned the hard way by taking a chance on someone else before listening to my mom, only to regret it. Thankfully Jims auto got us back on the road the next day. Side note always listen to mom. Our car has been through some things before we moved to FL and thankfully Jim and his team got our car running better than before. read more

This place is amazing. Great work , fast and less than half of what the dealer wanted. Check them out.

Very good place for repair service even with out of state plates!

Very reliable service which you usually don't get in South Florida..honest owner. Never been disappointed once..Very good mechanics...

I am new to the Pompano Beach area and my battery died on me just as I was leaving work. I needed an Interstate Battery dealer and Jim's Auto Repair populated on the Interstate website. I was greeted by Bob, the owner, who had already looked up my information, and walked right outside. He drove my car around to the side of his shop, and immediately began showing me the ropes. He tested my battery, showed me the voltage increasing on his tool, and we discussed why the battery was the issue. He grabbed a brand new battery off of the shelf, installed it, and had me driving off in less than 5 minutes. Bob has an immaculate place off of Hammondville Road just east of the Turnpike entrance, and I am looking forward to recommending him to new friends. read more

Would give this place 6 stars, one of the most honest out there. They are so busy though, hard to just drive in for a quick repair. Great mechanics, with up to date training, Bob at the front counter makes it all come together. Was recommend by friends who have been going there over ten years. read more

I have know Bob for about 15 years, he is the best at his work and is an honest repair man. You don't have to worry about getting taken on a ride. The Federal Government utilizes him to repair their fleet vehicles also. This is due to the fact you can count on him the first time to get the repair right the first time. Steven R...... read more

While heading to Ft Lauderdale from Michigan for Spring Break I noticed a slight rubbing noise coming from one of the wheels about a quarter of the way into the trip. The noise kept getting louder as we got closer to Florida. I knew I had to find a reputable shop to take care of the problem but I did not know of any myself. A quick look at Yelp and I found the shop. Jim's Auto Repair had several glowing reviews describing the amazing service and the lengths Bob (the owner) would go to to save his customers money and unneeded repairs. Add another glowing review! I explained my problem to Bob and they had my Volvo on the rack in minutes. They figured out the problem and I actually heard Bob on the phone looking for the best price on the part we needed! They replaced the wheel bearing and I asked them to do an alignment while they were at it. I had they car back that afternoon in perfect condition and payed less than I had expected! I would highly recommend Jim's Auto Repair to any wary traveler. I wish we had Jim's Auto Repair (and Bob) in Michigan! read more

Best mechanic EVER! Not only does this shop do top-notch work, he's fair with pricing...never pads the bill.( In fact, sometimes he throws in little extras for no charge!) He found the source of a problem that had my old mechanic stumped. I guess word is getting out about Jim's Auto because his lot is always full, but he always manages to squeeze me in and get me out in great time. Got a great sense of humor too! read more

Jim's Auto Repair - Auto Repair Near Me - Pompano Beach, Florida

This IS the auto repair shop you never thought existed...HONEST! Never pay for a repair that you don't need. Never overpay for a repair. I had to move back to FL. only because I couldn't find a comparable shop in SC. If I were you I wouldn't go anywhere else. (not even the dealer) read more

Bob offers the ultimate in customer service and his technicians are each expert in their repair duties. This is a happy, busy place you are welcomed to and pleased to bring your business. I can't say I have ever experienced a more compassionate owner who manages his business so effectively and cheerfully. And if that's not enough, the prices are reasonable and work is done efficiently. I am in awe for the care my 2007 Pontiac Solstice was repaired. Bob takes his team over and above your expectations! read more

Went here when I needed a new starter after reading the great reviews. Both my dad and my brother own repair shops (in other states) so I always run pricing and stuff by them before I commit to things. This place was great, reasonably priced, quick, and super nice. Since I thought it was my starter but I wasn't totally sure, Jim offered to keep my old starter for a while and if I continued to have the same issues, he'd exchange the new one back and try to determine what was wrong (it was the starter). Would definitely go back here! Thanks! read more

Great mechanic shop! My AC was going in and out, hot and cold air. After the dealership hosed me for $250 replacing the mixer motor that obviously didn't need replacing, and the problem was still there, I brought my car here. They diagnosed the problem as a bad relay, in about 10 minutes. Ordered the part and told me to stop by the next day. So I came in the next day, they replaced it in 15 minutes, and only charged me for the price of the part, to make me a long term customer. No doubt I'll only be coming here from now on. Thanks guys! read more
