Once again, I was in St Cloud on business, and when my friend, Gina, recommended lunch, it was a given we'd be heading over to Jule's Bistro. The special on Friday was a squash and apple chili. Jules catered our wedding for over 100 guests in July 2024. A menu was crafted with our input and the result was stupendous! We had beautiful charcuterie boards for appetizers and then a Latin based dinner with many accompaniments. We also ordered cakes to be placed on each table, with several different flavors. Our guests all raved about the quality and beauty of the food, all house made; it made our wedding perfect! The staff was on time, were gracious, and left everything neat and clean. Had a great lunch with my daughter. Everyone is so nice and helpful and made our time there even more enjoyable. We had some Chai tea and then artichoke dip for an appetizer. Sooo good! Cheesy and so yummy with naan bread. We almost finished it all and should have shared a meal. I ordered the BLAT (bacon, avocado, tomatoes and mixed greens) on sourdough. I ordered a Mocha, a Chicken & Pesto pizza and Chocolate Swiss Miss Caramel cake. The pizza was amazing as was the cake. I would definitely return to Jules Bistro to eat a meal. The Mocha was not Mocha. I was SO looking forward to trying it and it was just disappointing. I did not taste chocolate at all and there was no whipped cream. No sweetness to a Mocha. That is a problem. This would be 5 stars if not for that disappointing Mocha. Service was great. The staff was very attentive. Aside from making excuses for why the Mocha tasted like a Latte and speaking over my husband when she came over to the table to address this issue, the manager seemed to not really care a whole lot about the dissatisfaction of the supposed Mocha because apparently everyone likes them the way they make them and they don't get complaints. Overall great place! Manager/owner was very friendly with my family.. my dad discussed his restaurant with them. We spent time among ourselves (not with owner) discussing that the main change we'd like is sound buffering.. it's noisy when busy. One other small thing is it would have been good to know/have on the menu eggs are prepared peppery.. my nephew didn't want to eat them as he likes standard plain eggs. We had a lovely lunch on the patio on their 1 year anniversary. The ham and apple panini was amazing - even on gluten free bread. There were lots of options for a person with a gluten allergy including the soup of the day which was mung bean soup. Delicious! The service was wonderful even with a packed restaurant inside. Whoa! Local places in small towns can be a gamble. I hit the jackpot here. First off, you must have quarters as there are only metered spots along the street. I started with their chili. It was slightly sweet, almost spicy, but remarkably hearty. The black beans, chili, corn, jalapeños, amongst all else provided an abundance of flavors and a well-rounded chili dish. And the panini bread it came with was divine. Think...Panera-type food, but made from scratch. So now let's talk about the "star" of the meal: the Apple Ham Panini. I can't remember the last time I had such a well-balanced yet flavorful panini with this level of quality. When I came to Jules I didn't think I was gonna get a workout. But with the weight of this sandwich I feel like I just did P90X. There are stacks of ham with thick slices of tomato, generous slices of cheese, and fresh apples. I inspected the slices: no browning whatsoever. The ingredients are like ladies at a tea party in the Hamptons: all complimenting each other. The apple slices of course work great with the cinnamon-brown sugar mayo. But the cinnamon-brown sugar mayo also was the perfect foil to the crisp onions. And again, the apples were fresh. The ingredients weren't placed only at the middle of the sandwich. The cranberry wild rice bread was the quilt which lay upon a landscape of fresh ingredients and spectacular flavor. Oh man, and compliments to Jules for not absolutely drowning the panini in the cinnamon-brown sugar mayo. The sandwich had enough to give me the flavor, but not enough to make every bit greasy. It's crazy for me to type this, but I had a memorable panini! This is a must-try place. read more

Delicious! We were passing through on the way to MSP International Airport and serendipitously found this gem. Super cute on the inside, great service and great food. The chilaquiles were some of the best we've ever had and with a beautiful presentation and a healthy portion. The fruit plate was fresh and contained a great variety, orange juice tasted fresh squeezed and the bacon and roasted turkey was thick cut and full of flavor. We will definitely make the detour off the I-94 again and look forward to our next visit. read more

My wife and I stopped by Jules' Bistro a few weeks ago when we were in town for our son's hockey game. Go Granite City Lumberjacks! We didn't have a reservation, so were very lucky to find a seat right away. Dinner time, so the place was filling up fast. I had the Salmon and Avocado salad and my wife had a chicken/bacon wrap with fries. The food was great, ambiance very nice and we were served by Jules herself! This place is the real deal. We've been wanting to go here since moving to St. Cloud and shame on us for not coming sooner. The coffee is European- good (excellent!). My Americano was delicious. We had the bruschetta. Smaller bite-size chunks of tomato and mozzarella cheese, in a balsamic and basil mix. The bread pieces were panini grilled to perfection- warm/crisp outer edges/chewy. Delicious! Next we ordered pizzas- the Pepperoni & Sausage, and the Showstopper (Pep, Sausage, Salami, Red Onion). Both were very good! They have a large selection of local brews, use a local coffee supplier, and most items are made in house. Just one suggestion -more a comment on all St. Cloud locations in general- no tomato juice. Every place we go does not have it. V8 would be a good option too! The decor is welcoming, cool, and immaculately kept. The service is 5 stars. We had several servers interact with us and all were excellent. Very friendly and genuinely want the guests to be taken care of. Whatever your training program is, don't change a thing. I went here with my close friends and the atmosphere was really open and vibrant. Wasn't too small or cramped, chatter from nearby tables filled the air like music. It was equal parts easy to strike up a conversation and lull in the sounds around you. The service was amazing as well as the food. I tried the lemonade and it tasted fresh and sweet, not acrid or oversweet. Originally, we had all planned on having the special, it sounded amazing; a pasta dish with cheese sauce and vegetables (I wish I could recall the name, it would do more justice). Ultimately, as we placed our orders, we all opted for different items (we thought this was the height of comedy at the time as we had talked about all getting the same dish, and now we were all getting different plates). Food and drinks were out in no time at all. Nothing to complain about at all here. This is a great place for a meal with close friends or someone you're dying to talk to. read more

This looks like just a coffee bar when you walk in. Don't be turned away. The menu includes a lot of creative sandwiches, wraps, and paninis. Trying half sandwich - the caprese grill - and half salad - the downtowner. I love that the half-n-half choices include the interesting salads and not just a boring side salad. First off, the ice tea is amazing. I'm an ice tea snob: unsweetened, unflavored, black leaf tea is the only ice tea I'll drink. The ice tea here is purchased across the street at "Spice of Life", a tea and spice shop. It's vanilla bean ice tea, and frankly I don't think I can live without it. The caprese sandwich is, simply, perfect. Perfectly grilled bread. Perfect amounts of cheese and meat. Perfect pesto. I could eat this every day. The downtowner has a lot of yummy fresh flavors. The default dressing is blue cheese - I'm a fan - and the salad stands up to the strong dressing just fine. The kettle chips are great, not over salted, but the caprese is so crunchy that I would have preferred a crust of bread to go with the salad rather than the chips that didn't really pair with either one. As I finish this review, I'm trying to imagine how I'm going to get this ice tea in my mouth every day for the rest of my life. No ideas so far, which is disappointing because I live 2000 miles away. :P read more

Amazing food in an intimate little restaurant. We've had salads, soup, and pizza here and have really liked it. Their desserts are great as well. The ambiance of the place, and its location just next to the theater makes it a great place to go before or after a play/concert, whether you're dressed casually or classy. We have never been disappointed here, aside from some rude comments made by another customer one time. We don't go here nearly as often as we should. I highly recommend it. read more
