The owner of Superior Finds told us about this place on the way out of town. Upon walking in you could tell, this is where the locals go. Don't expect fancy, but I was on day '?' without a shower, fancy was not where I needed. Seat yourself and a friendly server will greet you. Plastic cups, plain beige plates and breakfast served all day. By the smells and the chatter, you knew you'd walk away satisfied. I ordered the walleye dinner (one more time for ol'time sake). The Hubs ordered the chicken tenders. Hands down, the best cooked piece of fish I had the entire trip!! My mouth still waters thinking about the perfection that touched my tongue. Baked potato was cooked exactly how I like also. By the time I finished those two items, I didn't have space for the roll. Chicken strips were as good as most. Super fresh, crunchy and plenty of them. Served with a side of sweet and sour instead of ketchup. I can dig that twist. Onion rings were delicious. Yum! The food is always fantastic here for a super reasonable price. As for ambiance it certainly isn't anything fancy feeling, but it certainly has some small town charm to it. A nice hometown restaurant, we had a. Rey nice breakfast with very reasonable prices & a very attentive waitress. If we are ever through this area again we will most definitely stop for a meal, a good selection of pies but we passed this time as we were full & had breakfast. We're from out of town visiting. We visited on a weekday morning around 9 am and the wait for seating ourself was non existent. Sat down as soon we we walked in. We had two "starving " daughters and both orders egg and toast with a pancake. My boyfriend and I ordered Cinnamon French toast with hashbrowns and eggs and bacon. Needless to say plates were completely empty. My daughter raved about the pancake and overall the quality of the food was spectacular for the price of what we paid. Food: 3/5 Service: 1/5 I don't remember the last time I was treated as rudely as the waitress, Lisa, treated my family. When we arrived, she threw our menus on the table. I thought maybe it was in my head, but then when I ordered a cinnamon roll and my husband ordered a sticky bun, she said, "You want a cinnamon roll and a sticky bun?" with attitude. I said we were planning to share them and asked what size they were. She said she'd only seen one size of cinnamon roll in her life and walked away. Then when she came out with my husband's coffee, she said we should move our baby, who was in her stroller at the end of our table, so she didn't pour coffee over her. There were plenty of other places available to pour the coffee without threatening to spill it on our sleeping daughter.  We definitely will not be recommending this cafe to any of our friends or family. read more

Food was eh. Nothing special yet nothing wrong with it. Wait staff was less than one star. Not friendly at all, rarely checked on us. Brought the check before we were done eating and didn't ask if we wanted anything else. Which we did, so she brought that and never updated the bill. So we left enough for the meal, the pie and tip after waiting for her to come back. Probably more than it should be. 3 other tables, not busy at all. read more

I adored Judy's Cafe. It's everything you hope for from a small town establishment. Our waitress was fantastic. She was nice, funny, and attentive with our service. The food was super cheap, but still delicious. They have homemade sourdough bread that was perfectly buttered, and my over easy eggs were cooked just right. What local spot! We went to the vanilla Bean which is highly acclaimed first it was a long wait even though they were even table. We decided to try something different and went down to Judy's. We were very impressed. Service was fast and the food was delicious. I had the mile high omelette hashbrowns and wheat toast all were very good cooked well. My daughter had the pancakes bacon and the cranberry wild rice toast which she described is amazing. Place was kid friendly as we had a toddler. I would highly recommend this location. read more

We come to this place every time we visit two harbors (almost every month). The servers are the sweetest and the portions are great! Our go to is the steak and eggs and we always opt for their amazing cranberry wild rice bread. We came here to eat on Saturday afternoon as we have driven by it several times and thought the lot usually looked full, which is a good sign. I got a whitefish sandwich and fries and was a little disappointed to see it was the standard square shaped fish patty - i was thinking it would have been a little more authentic for the area. My husband got the french dip and was happy with it. I also have to mention that the spoon that I got was really bent. He had the biscuits and gravy, bacon, eggs, toast and pancake. I had eggs, sausage links, cranberry wild rice toast, and a pancake. The biscuits and gravy had a mild flavor and was very creamy. There was bits of sausage through out the gravy. We usually complain about not enough gravy. This place laid it on! That's how it's supposed to be, over flowing! The pancakes had delicious buttery flavor even without the syrup. That's how you know it's good. It's well seasoned. These pancakes are the size of a lunch plate. It was a very busy Sunday morning at the restaurant and the waitress were working very fast and kindly. I would recommend this place for breakfast if you are passing through on the way back to the cities. FYI they prefer cash. There are signs everywhere. read more

My wife's favorite spot for cinnamon rolls. Are cinnamon rolls a thing in Minnesota? Because we had them a few times on our vacation to the north shore. Anyway, my wife claims that this is the best spot for cinnamon rolls. They're warmed up on the grill and are perfectly soft with the best icing. I highlyyyy recommend! read more

This is small cafe a open floor plan with minimal decorations. I would recommend the breakfast or desserts but not any of the other menu items. We came at a pretty busy time and we got our food in a reasonable amount of time. The wait staff seem really unhappy, so not sure what is going on there. The only other awkward thing is that the bathrooms are located behind the counter next to the kitchen. read more

I had a standard two egg, bacon an toast breakfast. Likely the best I have had in a long time. The eggs and bacon were cooked to order and the cranberry wild rice toast - which is made fresh in house - was delicious. Check them out next time you are in Two Harbors. Judy's has all the usual Americana favorites plus some creative extras like the Judy Favorite Sandwich. A toasted wich of ham, egg, cheese with a choice of sides. The building appears it could be historic and well kept. It's not modern and trendy, more like a small diner with plenty of tables and a counter with newspapers scattered around and institutional coffee from Bunn servers. My order was taken quickly but then it took forty minutes to be served. I'll give some license to the fact it was a busy lunchtime crowd and they serve breakfast all day with the lunch menu. Even so that was a pretty long wait but they kept the coffee cup full. Prices are very reasonable and there is easy access with their own parking lot which can exit into alley for easier flow back to hwy 61 Main Street. read more
