A friend and I stopped by Larsmont Trading Post on a bit of a lark while we were there for an open mic, and I'm honestly still thinking about the food. We played it "safe" and ordered the nachos--and I say this without exaggeration: they were the best nacho platter I've ever had. Not just great tasting, but genuinely beautiful to look at. This wasn't a pile-of-chips-with-stuff-dumped-on-top situation. This was thoughtfully made, layered, and clearly crafted from real ingredients. Nothing felt canned or boxed. Fresh toppings, balanced flavors, and even details like using spinach instead of iceberg lettuce showed real care and intention. You could tell someone in that kitchen actually cares about what goes out on the plate. If you're anywhere near the area and even thinking about stopping in--do it. Great food, great vibe, and one of those meals that surprises you in the best possible way. We'll absolutely be back. read more

Came here for lunch on our way to Two Harbors and I was instantly taken by the charm of this place! Right off the scenic highway and convenient for travelers and locals alike. I had a turkey sandwich and a cup of chili that were delicious. The soups are made from scratch and the portions are perfect for a lunch stop. They also have a little shop area where they sell souvenirs, clothes, and decor. We fed our family of 4 for under $65, which is pretty hard to do these days, especially in the Duluth area. read more

Stopped in after hiking at Gooseberry Falls. A bit off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. I throughly enjoyed my turkey & cranberry sandwich on some of the best bread I have ever tasted. The coleslaw was also delicious! read more

We needed a bathroom break while driving up to Split Rock -- which is why we stopped here. Once inside we browsed the little gift shop, and saw they had a nice sandwich selection-- with a Gluten free bread option! We ordered sandwiches to- go. We chatted with the staff while we waited for our food-- everyone was friendly and the place had a nice vibe. Later when we ate our food, it was super tasty -- lot's of meat, fresh lettuce and tomato. Plus, we were stoked to see it came with a bag of chips and coleslaw too! read more

This was such a great find on our vacation! I was so tired of bar and grille food or pizza and this place did not disappoint! I got the chicken salad sandwich and it was really good!!! The bread it was on was amazingly soft. I also got a side of the baked beans which were very good. My husband got the smoked salmon wrap and was very happy with it! Such a great find for refreshing, delicious healthier food options. Not sure how long it's been open but if business isn't booming I'm sure it will be soon once all the vacationers find out about it. read more

Food is limited but good. Staff is friendly, accommodating and helpful. Nice, local gift shop. I would have given a five star except for one reason - access is a challenge for those of us with a stability problem. I use a walker and getting from the parking lot to the ramp has a gravel barrier. The banister, although charming is not a banister but loosely strung ropes between posts. Dangerous for anyone reaching out if one trips. Suggest management replace gravel with cement and have a real bannister installed on the north edge to avoid any concerns. read more

Had a delicious lunch here: I had a yummy cranberry walnut salad with blue cheese crumbles, smoked salmon (a large portion) and a delectable maple vinaigrette dressing. I also tried a Castle Danger hazy IPA (local brew) which was tasty. My husband enjoyed his chicken salad sandwich on good nitty bread with a thick wedge of cheddar. We stopped in for breakfast on a recent Saturday. Sat down and waited about 15 min to get our order taken (mind you, only one other party in dining room and they looked impatient). Another 15 min to get lattes and a coffee with milk (after order). Other table impatient and asked for check and their food to go. Another 15 min (30 min from order) our food brought out and it was not good. Again, we are only ones there! They only had enough breakfast potatoes for 1 order and split it for both (first we heard). Pancakes looked like a child made. It was worse breakfast experience I've ever had. We are hoping normal staff not available, maybe actual cook not there? Perhaps just a random morning where things went south in kitchen. It did have a cute store with local jams, cheeses, etc. Also, they did toss in a cinnamon roll for wait. A pleasant surprise. I grew up in Two Harbors and knew not to try finding a place in town in summer as it is always a long wait. We didn't know this place existed but loved the unique atmosphere, pleasant staff, and great food. A must try place for sure. read more

Cute little bistro addition to the North Shore in Two Harbors. Great artisan meats and cheeses all locally sourced. We stopped for some iced lattes and some shopping during our stay across the street at Larsmont Cottages. Got some Bloody Mary mix for our cabin stay and some pretzels and mustard for a snack later on. We will be back to try out more menu items. Check it out and help kick of their business! read more

Lovely setting for both outdoor and indoor casual dining with delicious food and superb coffee conveniently located on Scenic Highway just outside of Two Harbors and right across from the Larsmont Resort. Reasonably priced sandwiches with artisan bread, soups, breakfast items, with wide selection of cheeses and meats for purchase, including moderately priced gourmet items. My husband and I have been there numerous times to grab coffee and some biscotti, sandwiches, get an ice cream or purchase some jam, fudge and gifts and enjoy the spacious and relaxed setting. Highly recommend this newcomer to the Two Harbors area! read more
