New owner, seemed more family friendly than in the past. Food was really good and all the employees were really nice.

Little Nikki's is now Ponchos. We had the BBQ special and white fish. I've had a lot of white fish and this was the best! Family friendly.

Is it a 5-Star restaurant? No, but it's a great bar with good food in northern Wisconsin!

Saturday night and no where to go but Little Nikkis. It's the only restaurant within miles. The special was $10 for deep-fried Lake Trout with all the trimmings (coleslaw, rye bread, fries). All good for a fishfry although I don't like fresh fish deep-fried-- it disguises the subtle flavor of fresh fish. My wife had chili, which she enjoyed. The place was hopping, giving that there's no other restaurant within a 30-40 minute drive! No real cause for complaints, Cornucopians! You're lucky to have a restaurant. What a shame after 40 years of coming to the wonderful village of Cornucopia. So disappointing to see what's happened to what was once a wonderful place to eat and share memories. Literally the only place to sit and eat in Cornucopia. We stayed here on a long weekend getaway and wanted some grub. This being the only place had to suffice. The menu is very basic, appearing to have most food delivered frozen. Why tf is kimchi on their menu?! We had the trout bites and they seemed to be the freshest/most local thing on the menu. The pizza was actually really good. Not sure if I'd be giving four stars if we made another choice. The music is WAY to loud for dinner. When this place turns into a bar scene later in the night, volume is perfect. Not a great volume for 5pm. Waitress was quick, efficient, and friendly. I'd say something like "you should try Nikki's when you're in town", but again, it's the only place to eat in the whole town. read more

Where did Nikki go? Ever been to a bar/restaurant and when you walk in, the music stops and everyone in the place welcomes you with the most distasteful look? Even the employees of the establishment? Everyone stares as if you've violated their sensibilities by coming to their filthy dump. If not head to Little Nikkis. Weve been coming to Corny for 40 years. And have eatin at Ponchos, Fish Lipps, the original Lil Nikki's and now this "under new management" version of Little Nikki's. Sadly, we miss you Nikki. The new version is a far cry from the place you built and ran. Gone is the welcoming feeling and smiles as we walked in. Gone is the menu filled with your family recipes and corny (no pun intended) puns and yummy offerings. Replaced with a bar menu of items more often found in an episode of Bar Rescue than the wonderful place that used to be. The food was awful by any measurement. Burgers were preformed patties from Costco, chicken is from a package (precooked) and pizza was basically served on cardboard. The restrooms were filthy and unkept. The smell of diapers mixed with sewage filled the air with an aroma that would make a black bear change directions. If you're headed to Cornucopia pass this place up. Go to the Fat Radish (make a reservation) and enjoy some real food. Or hit up the gas station and buy a frozen pizza and beer. You're sure to get more for you buck, and have less of a chance at contracting the coronavirus (yep... they even joked about no masks or social distancing) or botulism. Come back Nikki. We miss you!! We were drawn here after reading other Yelp reviews. We were not disappointed with our food however the service was a little "off". My husband and I both had the fish dinner (fried whitefish) and it was delicious. Their salad bar was a little lacking but that wasn't the star of our meal. Overall it was good but I'm not sure the drive from Ashland would have merited a visit. Enjoy! read more

Been there many times and today was one of those days that Little Nikki was in a Bad mood we spent 100's of dollars between all of us think there where 12 of us and she was Not at all HaPpY not even one thank you or anything it can be a fun place but it's not fun when the Owner is not at all HaPpY she needs a big attitude change life is to short to be unhappy all the time so when we come in and appreciate your Paying Customers and then we just might return you have the Only Restaurant in the Town so be HaPpY and and make some Friends and some Money read more

We arrived at 7:05pm, at 7:45pm we asked the server for a menu and some water, at 7:48pm a Hispanic couple wanted to order to-go and was told that the kitchen was closed, at 7:52pm a group of 4 teenagers walked in and were able to put in a to-go order without issue, at 7:56pm a table of 8 walked in and were given menus and drinks immediately by the same server that had brought us water but had not returned for our order, at 8:15pm the table of 8 had received their order and the server had never been back to get our order so we walked out. Also, the entire time we were there, the male server was behind the counter talking to himself about how horrible of a person he is and needing to get his sh** together, sounded like an out-loud pep-talk but went on for over an hour. It is really sad what the restaurant has turned into, we have been going there for 30 years through all different owners. Most of the tables were covered in dishes and trash and the floor was just as bad. The bathroom was absolutely unmentionable. read more

Fish fry was awesome--whitefish or trout that was swimming in Lake Superior hours before, hand cut potato wedges, homemade slaw. So, we have been to every fish fry that the Peninsula has to offer. Washburn, Port wing, Bayfield, Herbster. This is the one to go to. We are talking quality over quantity. This is a good meal inatead of "trough feeding". While the restaurant has the layout of a bar with dining area and game room on the side. The food, presentation, and quality can t be beat. read more

Best breakfast ever! The food was all spectacular. We had the hungry man, biscuits and gravy and pancakes. My husband had the hungry man and was satisfied with both the quantity and quality of food. The pancakes were fluffy, a touch of sweet and overall amazing. The biscuits and gravy was also good, the gravy had plenty of sausage and was unique and tasty. Last, but not least - the eggs that came with each order were about the best I've ever had. Most restaurants it seems the eggs are an after-thought, these eggs would be a satisfying meal in itself. We stopped here while traveling through the Cornucopia area. While the ambiance seemed uncertain to us at first, our server was immediately friendly and attentive. My husband had the trout dinner and I had the whitefish, both of which were well done. The Wild grain pilaf was delicious and hearty and the salad dressings tasted like homemade. Little Nikki's - across from the historic Ehlers Store - Cornucopia, WI - (formerly Fish Lipps), which had been a classic tourist stop for years in Cornucopia. Fish Lipps closed in 2013 and has now made way for a new tradition in "Corny" - Little Nikki's. We waundered in to Little Nikki's for a cocktail after touring the Apostle Island National Lakeshore Sea Caves with Good Earth Outfitters and Captain Mike. To be fair, I can't be too critical of the slow service as it was a "Holiday Weekend" and I think Nikki got caught short of staff on this rainy, cloudy, Labor Day, Saturday. With that said, our Bloody Mary's were excellent and so were our appetizers. Not too often will you find "Bloody Marys" listed on the appetizer menu but Little Nikkis' deserve to be listed on the menu. We tried "The Little Nikki" - served with pepper vodka, olives, celery, pickle, pepperoncini beef stick from Jim's Meats in Iron River (delicious), and string cheese; also; "The Big Lake" - all I can say, is it's topped with a pretzel bun cheeseburger! - oh yeah, this is the mother of all Bloody Marys - served up like Lake Superior - BIG. We also sampled the "half naked cheese curds" and the onion ring - portions were large and given how busy they were, the appetizers were served hot and not overly greasy. "Hats off" to Nikki and her staff for working hard and being as efficient as possible, given their stressful situation - I believe the "business" kinks will work themselves out with time and experience. It was great to see this restaurant and bar back open and thriving with tourist traffic. Stop by and visit Little Nikki's - enjoy some cold beverages and great food - and help this locally owned, family owned business succeed. Enjoy - we did. read more

Nikki is soooooo nice and fun to talk to! Her 'Nikki's' Long Island tea is a hands down winner. The food is excellent, her attention to detail and proper preparation are excellent. Make no mistake, this is not run of the mill pub fare, it is fine cooking. I say this as a foodie, and I recognize a good meal when I see it. Her soups are top notch! Not only is the food great, it is nice, clean, well kept and the bathrooms are like home! Clean and neat! Such a welcome stop during a long day of snowmobiling. We went there twice during our trip there and I wish I could go back. Nikki is a sweetheart, give her place a try! read more

Attempted to stop there 3 times. Only open once. Was closed Wednesday, open hours stated open at noon. Three strikes and you are out. Was not that impressed the first visit, thought would give it another try. Give up now. Poor way to do business, basically the only place in the village that sells food and drinks. Unbelievable place in the middle of no where. Great fish sandwich and special pork sandwich. Fun place with outstanding service and good.
