    Burger Salad

Food 4/5 - We have lunch here on their beautiful patio and the food was great. The burger salad was delicious and the French fries were crispy. Service / Ambiance 4/5 - The outdoor patio has great scenery, although a little windy. The servicer we had was very friendly and helpful.

This was the "meal" for 2 people

We spent $120 for the most expensive appetizer (for one person) you could ever order. DO NOT pay for their "snow globe experience". The fondue appetizer was there, but in the table outside before we arrived and under an inadequate heater so the food was cold - as was the entire short lived experience. The wine flight was there, but it was church wine. We did not have the s'mores because we chose to leave after 30min due to the lack of heat. The fondue meal was for one person at best (see pic). The fondue bowl had a broken pretzel in it and we presume from the previous guests (ew!). The snow globe was so inefficiently heated, we chose to leave without finishing after 30min. Unbelievably, the waitress admitted she was questioning whether it was warm enough with the first group... we could see our breath. But yet she still let us go in and then charged us the full $60pp.for what should have been a nearly 2 hr experience! Do not pay for this "experience".

Great venue on Lake Superior with refreshing drinks and great GF options. The service was great and the food was tasty! Views of the lake were amazing!

It's hard to find a nice dining restaurant around this area. There are not a lot of options close by, so this place stood out. It is located on the resort right on the north shore. We did not make reservations but they do recommend it. It was 4:30 on a Saturday evening and it was pretty quiet. Inside, all seats will give you a beautiful view of Lake Superior. It was very nice and peaceful inside. The menu has a great variety for all the picky eaters out there. We both went for the walleye dinner. It sounded too good to pass up. It was that and so much more. The herb seasoning over the parmesan breading was so good!! It was all so delicious and highly recommend getting this dish. We also splurged and got vanilla cheesecake with a strawberry drizzle. A great way to recharge and end a long day of hiking!

We were visiting the Northshore, and staying at the Grand Superior for a couple of nights. We were going to get pizza delivered, but they don't this far out of town. So, we decided to have dinner at the resort restaurant. I'm so glad we did because the food was delicious, and better than I expected it to be. The white fish sandwich was so good, and the homemade kettle chips. My husband ordered the reuben, and said it was the best one he has had. The meat was braised in a castle danger beer from the brewery near by. Our waitress in the evening was pleasant, and kept our drinks filled. We had a flat tire while on our trip, so we ended up also having breakfast here the next morning. It was pretty good, but the biscuits and gravy could have had more sausage in it. The service was a little slow compared to the night before, and it wasn't even busy. I loved the view of the Lake Superior while we enjoyed our breakfast though.

First time eating at Grand Superior Grill today. They DO have outdoor/patio seating however it rained today so we sat inside. It wasn't too busy for lunch around noonish. They do have designated tables that they leave empty in order to social distance. The host also assured us that they only allow up to 50% capacity because of COVID. I ordered their North Shore Walleye sandwich (pictured here) and it is my new favorite!! The fish was cooked to perfection! The cheese just strung along with every bite. The bacon was absolutely wonderful! Perfect crisp! My friends got the Bacon Cheddar Burger and the Wild Rice soup. The soup was also delicious! The bacon cheddar burger was more on the mediocre side. Service was great! I'd definitely come back just for the North Shore Walleye sandwich!

When you first enter, you grab a menu, sit wherever is open, and order at the register which is a different set-up but worked well for them. Our 1st visit, I ordered the seafood chowder and fried chicken dinner which were both phenomenal. Every spoonful of the chowder was filled with clams and fish. The portion size of the extra crispy fried chicken fed me for 2 nights. I left there so satisfied! When we came back for breakfast, I had another delicious meal of the avocado toast with balsamic glaze. I would definitely come back here for the delicious food next time we road trip up North again.

(Wait was surprisingly short, pleasantly surprised.) Food was good! I had a house salad because I wasn't feeling like anything big, but it was a great salad. Side note- spent about an hour admiring this fish with my dad and heatedly debating what type of fish it is. Only to notice after all this time there was a title under it Came for the food, stayed for the fish

We loved that the main lodge had hot coffee and ice water available - as well as games and loves to check out! That said, the exterior is starting to show some age, with weeds throughout the grounds and overgrown bushes making the sidewalks feel crowded. A window on our room was broken and the indoor pool was out of commission. While the activities are a great perk, one was full before I could attend, and the yoga class I signed up for didn't have an instructor show up. Overall though, it was a relaxing and enjoyable stay and I'd happily come back again!

Bent Paddle's mission is to create a unique craft beer experience while also being sustainable for the business, employees, environment, and community. And they deliver on it all. I got a flight to enjoy some of their more limited offerings. Munchin Pretzels: An Oktoberfest beer brewed with traditional German Malts and Hops. I get toasted bread malt character with a bit of sweetness, but rounded out by a hop bitterness. The malt profile is definitely the forefront and I wished I had a pretzel to go with it. Infinity Stuf: An Oatmeal Stout that they went all out with 100 pounds of Oreos. Nutty oatiness, chocolate, and medium fullness. I appreciate it not being a Pastry Stout, but still get lots of Oreo character. A Beer of Their Own: A Hoppy Pale Ale brewed in collaboration with a Bar Of Their Own in the Twin Cities. Tropical fruit forward - primarily melon and cantaloupe, with a nice finish. Stratarado: A Hoppy Pale Ale brewed with Strata and El Dorado (get the name?).
