Best coffee on the north shore. Nestled in a beautiful woodsy area; artists are about.

The best coffee!!! It's kind of hidden but really close to the main road. We only found it because we were looking for coffee shops on Google Maps. The inside is so cozy and there's a bike shop attached. They make their own syrups and they are delicious!! I got an iced caramel latte and it was my favorite of all the coffee shops we tried in the area. They have a lot of seating and the staff were all really friendly. We'll definitely be back! read more

There is no way to say this and not sound petty. I love specialty coffee. I love the taste, I love the smell, I love the experience. And for me, part of the experience is slowing down to enjoy the moment. No small part of that enjoyment comes from drinking my coffee in a proper vessel. It could be a ceramic coffee cup, or a bowl, or a heavy glass, or a demitasse cup on a saucer. Different shops can have their own style, but if you refuse to serve a well crafted drink in something other than paper, that's an issue for me. Especially when the proper cups are right there! I see them. And I get that washing dishes can be a pain in the neck, but coffee shops can charge what they charge for beans and water because they are providing an experience. Sorry. Thanks for hearing me out. Beyond that, this place is lovely. The people are friendly, which should not be a surprise in Minnesota. The cortado was good, but hard to fully appreciate or evaluate in its sad little paper cup. My family was happy with their drinks. And the outdoor space is simply magical. This is a tucked away little modern coffee oasis in a remote part of Minnesota and I'm very glad it exists and can provide me and others the energy boost needed after hours of nature walks in the area. read more

Don't visit if you're expecting good coffee and decent service. The barista had a notably poor attitude, which made the experience uncomfortable. While the cashier was friendly and clear when taking our order--and we tipped accordingly--the interaction at pickup was disappointing. We asked a simple question about one of our three drinks, and the response was unhelpful and delivered with little interest in providing basic hospitality. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place for a quick stop, and I won't be returning read more

We would have eaten breakfast there but they had people working on their ovens. So we got coffee to go. We sat outside at one of the picnic tables in the woods. First, the coffee was divine. I had an iced latte and the coffee flavor just punched through the milk. SO good. Second the shop was very cute inside and super nice counter staff. Plus the outside seating in a very woodsy little spot, complete with a creek bed nearby, was delightfully northern Minnesota! Highly recommend! read more

It was nice to be back here! A good experience, but nothing exceptional. It seems like they recently updated to Panera bread style pagers which is cool, but even though they gave us one, when our order was ready they just called my name the old fashioned way. They had some cool new artwork up for sale, and the coffee was still good. It's definitely still a place worth checking out. read more

This place has been popping up all over my for you page so as we made our way up north we decided to stop. It was about an hour before closing so wasn't busy at all which was nice. The outdoor space is beautiful and the main reason I wanted to check it out. Lots of table in and outside, pet friendly too! Unfortunately, my coffee was just okay. I added caramel syrup since I prefer a sweeter drink, but I couldn't really taste the caramel. read more

This is a frequent stop for me! They have a beautiful space with views into the cedar forest, local art showings, and good coffee. You should go! read more

My coffee was amazing. I decided to come here after searching up coffee shops in the area. It's attached next to a bike shop and has outdoor seating. However, it was super cold so I opted to go inside. They had a good menu with plenty of drink and food options. I got a latte with a breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was good, however I felt the English muffin had too much butter and couldn't finish it. Other than that, I enjoyed my visit there. read more

Coffee shop in the woods with cute outdoor dining area. Coffee was pretty good and the pastries were unique and delicious!

Cedar Coffee Company is such a gem of a coffee shop, tucked into the woods with a peaceful patio and large windows that flood the space with natural light. The drinks are delicious, the cardamom latte was especially good and they also offer baked goods and ice cream, which is a fun bonus. A cozy, welcoming spot that feels perfectly in tune with its North Shore setting. read more

Came with my family and I went to order my drink and also a warmed chocolate croissant the girl taking my order said oh it's too busy we can't warm it up. So I said oh ok I don't need one. I came and found a spot my sister comes over with a bag i said oh what's that. " a hot chocolate croissant" I'm just so confused how in 30 seconds you decide no she's not getting one but the girl after her is. I also feel like cashier had an attitude towards me. The coffee also was not too good. read more

Amazing coffee shop. Big windows from floor to ceiling that let in a ton of natural light, and views of the surrounding cedar forest (with trails that you can snowshoe and bike). A canoe hanging from the ceiling. Several people working on their laptops. Great atmosphere. I got a chai and my girlfriend got a coffee and croissant. All were perfect. Staff were super friendly. This coffee shop shares a roof with a bike shop that sells, rents and repairs bikes, so if you're passionate about bikes, this is the place for you. read more

Had been wanting to try out this "coffee shop in the woods" for awhile and it did not disappoint. The food was so good and fresh and made to order. We tried the red hash and cranberry turkey sandwich. Highly recommend both although the hash did have a bit of kick to it so just be aware of that! The brown sugar + rosemary latte was so good. All of their syrups were homemade except for the SF vanilla. They also had smoothies, beer and wine, and plenty of breakfast and lunch options. There was a fire going outside and plenty of seating inside with free wifi. Really liked the atmosphere there. It's connected to a bike shop and by a trail so you can head there before or after you're food and drinks! Very friendly and fast service. Will definitely be making this a north shore staple! read more

Cute spot tucked away from the highway. Excellent coffee. And they had a cute gift shop. I bought a bag of coffee and they ground it for me on the spot, which was great! I think they should put up a sign to show they offer that service, it was a gift and I was hesitant to buy it because I was not sure if my friends have a coffee grinder. Very cute atmosphere with a fire pit and chairs where dogs are welcome. The service was quick and friendly. I like that it's also connected to a bike shop. Thank you! read more

Always a must stop in Two Harbors. They have the best iced Maple Latte! Service is great and when it's nice, the outdoor seating is perfect.

Came here with a few friends for breakfast and coffee before heading to gooseberry. This whole place was fantastic, from the outdoor woodsy seating, friendly staff, yummy bacon roll up, coffee, and the stuff you could buy at the shop, EVERYTHING was great. The perfect pre-hike or post-hike stop. Hoping to come back soon! read more

I loved this more modern coffee shop that was also rustic and hidden in the woods into harbors. They are in the same building as a bike rental company, which makes for a very fun pair. They have great parking as well as a wooded back patio with plenty of seating. read more

Great coffee and non-coffee drink options with beautiful outdoor space. Our go to place when we are in town.

Gotta love their dog friendly patio, yummy smoothies and warm breakfast. Ordered 2 smoothies with my partner, one is peanut butter banana, and the other is blueberry yogurt and maple syrup. The two breakfast sandwiches we had were also great. Sarnie and croissant sandwich. I enjoyed the beautiful breakfast view. read more

We came at the right time as it got busy after we arrived. They do have indoor and outdoor seating. Also, they have trails in the area. As I was walking in, someone was walking out with a Pup cup, which I think is great. They allow pups on the patio. The people are SO nice. And the coffee was SO good. I would totally go back and would recommend it. Note they do not have almond milk or suagr free carmel flavor. read more

This coffee shop is a real gem in Two Harbors. The coffee is good and the staff friendly, but the best part part is the relaxing ambience of enjoying coffee at the wood tables under the cedar trees out back. The Wi-Fi is pretty good for remote work. Also, I spilled my coffee (total clutz, whoops) and they were kind enough to offer me a free refill. read more

A bit disappointed on how long it took for a latte on a Sunday morning. Understood that it was busy, however the couple in front of me had their drinks made ten minutes earlier before mine and they had multiple lattes, so not sure how they determine the order of making drinks. The latte itself was pretty good except wouldn't wait over 40 minutes for it. read more

Have your coffee in the woods! I found this place based on an IG post I saw & so glad I stopped. It's just a short drive off the main street in Two Harbors. It's the cutest little coffee shop attached to a bike shop. I had an iced Americano with macadamia milk and the brown sugar + rosemary syrup. What an interesting flavor! So good and made perfectly. I just prefer more ice :) The person taking the order was so helpful and friendly. The shop has items for sale from local artists along with coffee. They have a food menu but I didn't try anything during my stop. The best part is the outdoor seating under the tall trees. Sip your coffee while enjoying the beauty of the nature around you. So lovely! read more

Really nice hidden gem in Two Harbors! A little away from the downtown area but still very close by. Wish I knew about them sooner! Walked in planning to get a coffee to go and enjoyed sitting in the vast outdoor space while waiting. They're very busy, but I can see why! Lots of excellent food and drink options, attached to a bike shop. Can't wait to come by and have a leisurely lunch and beer on a nice summer afternoon. read more

I've heard about Cedar coffee over the last few months and knew on our drive up north that we had to make this one of our destinations. We stopped in around 11 on a Sunday and the whole place was full with a bit of a line starting. There were a number of people working and you could tell that they were doing their best to get things out quickly to all the waiting customers. I would estimate we waited about 10 minutes to place our order and then upon ordering an Americano was told that it would likely take 15 to 20 minutes to get made. They were really backed up but luckily all the customers were seemingly very patient waiting for their orders. The barista offered an alternative of getting a hot coffee with the flavoring that I wanted, which would be ready immediately. I thought that it was great for her to offer an alternative and, although not my same Americano, I chose to roll the dice and go with it. I was so glad I did because the coffee was very strong, but still smooth tasting, and the maple flavoring that I added, provided just the right amount of sweetness. The space appears to have a fairly good amount of seating with the best options being a number of picnic tables and chairs set among the trees behind the shop. It seemed like a great location to grab a brunch or lunch and catch up with a friend. Overall great spot, hard working staff and tasty coffee. read more

The great: my latte, ambiance, and local artist goods scattered in the shop. I was happy to pay $9 for my coffee. The not so great: I've worked customer service jobs, so i totally get that things run out and it gets overwhelming. With that being said, I was super disappointed in the coldness coming from the workers. They were very unwelcoming and seemed bothered that there were customers. Overall I would not come back. read more

Excellent coffee lovely vibes . Friendly service. Its a coffee shop in the woods - definitely worth it

Of course the coffee is awesome but if you're going to get something to eat, you have to try the garlic pork breakfast sandwich. If you live in the area or if you were headed up to Duluth or the North Shore for a weekend trip, you have to stop by this iconic coffee shop. If features amazing lattes, and I usually only do decaf and they can make really good decaf lattes. I also tried the ham and honey sandwich on gluten-free bread and it was very good. The spot has tons of parking however, there's not a lot of seating in the inside, so just a heads up you might want to take it to go. I thought the service was standard. It wasn't too fast, but wasn't too slow and the prices were a little pricier than others but you pay for what you get. This is definitely a staple if you are in the North shore area. read more
