    Mmmmm - breakfast!

First time here. I moved here from LA about 18 months ago. Really like this place! Came after an early vet visit nearby. Delicious quiche & latte. Lovely ambiance!

My friend and I stopped here on our way back to the cities. We were in need of some darn good coffee and we're so glad we stopped here! Parking can be difficult because it's on a busy street but there is street parking available. We got lucky and got a spot right in front of the shop. It's a cute little coffee shop with tables and couches. Aside from coffee, there are some bakery goodies as well. Hung on the wall are local art pieces that's available for purchase. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. The service was wonderful! Everyone was so welcoming and nice. I ordered a hazelnut latte w/ almond milk and sure enough...it was DELICIOUS!! Just enough sweetness and the perfect amount of caffeine kick. We couldn't stop talking about how good our lattes were. I'm definitely making Amity Coffee a stop whenever I'm up north now.

Great local coffee shop with friendly service. We were in town for grandmas and needed some caffeine after cheering. The shop was actually closing up but he still served us which was appreciated! I got an oat milk latte and it was very good. Definitely recommend!

I got a soy hazelnut latte. SO DELICIOUS!! I loved the flavor and the richness it felt nice and thick and not fake tasting like starbies. I hadn't been to an amazing coffee place since Alaska and I had lost hope until I went to Duluth for a weekend get away. Amazing. I wish there was more seating is my only thing but I loved it, the coffee and the atmosphere. 10/10

As the great bathroom controversy continues, we used this one @ the coffee shop!

I hate going to chain coffee shops, thus we always look for a local hippie hole. I flipped through reviews and we ended up here. Sign for bent paddle stout cupcakes on entering. I shove my way to the counter (not really, but I thought about it)... Sold out of the cupcakes, ouch. I can't dock stars for something being too good to keep in stock though. We ended up with a couple of lattes and skipped the display case. Friendly workers and a cute shop, clearly with a sense of humor. Both lattes were scorching hot and fabulous. Mixed flavors to get the latte we wanted without missing a beat. All in all, a good find. We will pop in whenever we pass through town.

Probably one of the best little coffee shops in Duluth, Amity Coffee has virtually everything you'd expect in a bit of java shop: local art, seating variety cozy charm, decent pastry and of course consistently selected coffee. Serving Duluth Coffee Company blends, it captures the Lakeside feel without becoming overbearing. You don't go to a place like this in a hurry. Among coffee shops this is probably one of the most chill purchase-to-delivery spots I've experienced, even rivaling some west coast equivalents. They will pour a cup straight up fast enough if you don't want a mixed drink, so if Amity is too slow for you, it's all your fault. And the vibe Amity is selling is for you to chill the eff out and enjoy some pleasant Duluth atmosphere. If you find yourself heading up the shore, a slight detour for Amity isn't a wrong way to start a beautiful day. The four stars reflect the amity you'll feel at Amity Coffee.

Good place to work and sip your favorite coffee. If you're looking for a place to chill and have a hot/cold coffee this is definitely worth a visit.

    Saturday coffee. Peaceful & energizing.

Why do you always close early? Please update your hours online. Stopped by at 3:30pm on 9/12, not open. Disappointed!

After seeing a piece on television about City Girl Coffee Company, she had my ear because I am a…read morediehard coffee drinker. But, I drink coffee like my adult drinks--what I like, I buy. Nothing to do with reputation, popularity or price, but strictly driven on taste and preference. Now, that I have my own job and my own check (20 years as a home maker), I have a little more disposable cash to endulge my personal hobbies. Coffee is one. So much so, I really considered opening a small independent coffee shop. Therefore, it goes without saying, I know about coffee--from soil to hot cup with cream. So when women entrepeneurs were showcased that morning, City Girl Coffee got my attention. Especially when she said beans are roasted and ground the same day. And she talked about the history of the parent company Alakef Coffee; a company started by her father because he wanted a good cup of coffee. Since I was running out of coffee and taking a trip to the Costco for my coffee takes planning and a 20 minute drive, I decided to give a go to Alakef. The worst that would happen is that the coffee was okay and I would freeze it as my emergency stash. The best, I would have a great cup of coffee. So I ordered a bag of French Roast (I like strong, dark coffee) and waited for its arrival. My coffee arrive the next week and I ordered ground because the convienence. When I sipped that first cup, I knew. Fresh roast, smooth taste, no bitter notes and great taste. Gentle but good coffee. Nothing harsh. My subscription for French Roast and Brazil ordered. My husband stopped drinking coffee about 3 years ago joined me in a cup--he takes his black. He vowed to get up in the morning and join me for coffee. Take aways: 1. If you like coffee and want the convience of home delivery give it a try. Subscription would cost you less than take out coffee anyday. 2. Smooth and not bitter coffee. The dark roast is not like Starbucks bold-gentle smooth taste without the harshness. 3. French Presh will yield the best flavor. Good luck and enjoy the coffee. To Alakef, thanks for making me happy in the morning. https://alakef.com/

The baker who checked me out was really friendly and happily answered my questions about availability and some day-old loaves (they have discounted day-olds!). Went in to get a baguette but it turns out they're an "occasional" item so I'd call ahead to ask. Ended up getting a couple things I'll note below. I'd probably put them around the quality Duluth's Best Bread but I like supporting a much more progressive place that gives back to the community. - An almond croissant that was solid for the price. Not mind-blowing, but wasn't too dense like a lot are. The flavor was really good. - A loaf of the day-old multigrain that was still excellent. Used it for toast and as a vessel for some A+ salmon dip from Northern Waters - Dog treats! It was neat seeing the fundraiser and always love getting a snack for the dog. They're not smelly, made from simple ingredients, and the pup loved them
