But after a week of drinking his coffee, we are admittedly bias about the guy. To be clear, we've never met the man we are just punch drunk after a week of bliss and this was on DECAF!! I can't wait to see what the regular tastes like! I had a can of his decaf for over a year now but I'm not a decaf drinker, so it just sat in the cupboard until this week. Almanac's Decaf is better than most regular coffees I've had....I may end up reducing my caffeine intake because I prefer the taste over most coffees I've had. I understand taste us subjective, for reference I'm a Nina's and Amore, in St. Paul, as well as a Spyhouse and Five Watt Minneapolis guy, if that helps. Just ordered 2.5lbs of decaf, some regular Honduras, and a sampler pack. I've never 'ordered' coffee online before, but I absolutely have to have more of this decaf, it's that good! For a small additional fee, yes, your furry friends can attend. Reservations and basic communication are simple and there is no front desk staff like a traditional hotel aiding to the uniqueness of this spot. There is a digital lockbox where your welcome email will include instructions for obtaining your key fob. A designated parking lot across the street allows for easy accessibility in and out and every single store below the lofts (including the coffee shop) is dog friendly which is a major score! The entire building is ADA accessible from the walk up ramp to elevators (which was lovely bc my dog is a tripod and cannot accommodate stairs). To my surprise, a loft on the 3rd floor had 2 bedrooms which allowed each of us to have private areas with our dogs along with the common spaces to share the living room, kitchen and bathroom. The vaulted ceilings allowed for natural light to enter and the entire building recently had a makeover making our stay a complete success. Some tips and fun facts we discovered were hidden dog bowls under the sink including neutral disinfectant for accidents/ basic cleaning along with paper towels, sound machines for white noises located in the closets along with extra blankets, record player on-site with varying record options, and full kitchen with a stove. All amenities include but not limited towards: bar cart with bottle opener, shaker, etc., coffee cups, wine cups, bowls, silverware and cookware. The basement level has a really cool dog wash station which can also be used for bicycles, a smaller gym, a few restrooms and a conference room. Enger lofts is the perfect get-away and is a spot one can enjoy without driving around town as everything is within walking distance. Bonus: Bent Paddle Brewery is directly across the street in walking distance and is dog friendly on the heated patio as well as an on-site food truck. Enjoy!

It was busy, being a Sunday morning especially, but the staff was handling it all well from our perspective . I used to manage restaurants a long time ago and was impressed with the flow. Our waitress, Natalie, was delightful, knew the menu well to describe and answer questions, and we were not wanting for anything. She checked on us, always grinning and managing the iace well. I had the banana bread pancakes. A perfect choice ! They came and looked like a picture stacked up and flowing down with Carmel, maple bourbon syrup, marzcapone cream and nuts. So delicious. I took half home and enjoyed the rest later. Heated up perfectly with a 20 second zap in micro. My son had the corn beef hash skillet and said his was just as good as mine.
