Plenty of parking in the strip mall this coffee spot is located in. Was a little difficult to find without using my phone as we saw the big sign from the road, but the shop was further away. Found it once I searched for it on my phone map. Got a large Vietnamese Iced Coffee and large Vanilla Coffee and it was $15. Seemed high priced for what we got. Coffee was ok, but nothing amazing. Service was a little slow. Seemed like a nice place to hang out or study. Would recommend lowering prices if possible. A friend from Duluth recommended this coffee shop. We stopped by and couldn't geo in because of covid. They want you to order from outside. I tried to find a menu on their website and it was not posted. Thankfully, I found paper menus by the door outside. My husband ordered a double shot. He liked it but it was way too bitter for me. I ordered the Honey Bear latte - but without honey, I asked for a pump of vanilla instead. It was amazing! It has cinnamon, nutMeg, and vanilla - so delicious! We tried the cinnamon chip scone. I came to Duluth with my boyfriend for a weekend getaway with COVID, and we had a hard time finding coffee shops that aren't chain shops. We finally found this cute place through yelp and would recommend this place to anyone stopping by the Duluth area. The shop is located in a strip mall with tons of parking. With covid, call ahead and order. It was hard for us to find a menu but we found one on allmenus.com. Lots of gourmet drink options! We ordered 2 egg/sausage/cheddar croissant sandwiches, a salty sailor latte, and a peanut butter mocha. Our order was ready within 5 minutes. Options to pay include card or Venmo. Overall food/drinks were good. I'm looking forward to trying some of their other drink options! read more

If you are looking for a coffee place in a small town (near two universities) that isn't Starbucks or any of the other chains out there, this might fit the bill. I flew into the Duluth airport recently and was looking for a local place to go for a coffee and a bite to eat (and did not feel like having a big sit down brunch). I saw this place (thanks to Yelp) located in a strip mall, and decided to give it a try. Walking in and over to the register area, I saw they had a nice variety of pastries, sandwiches, and specialty drinks. I opted for an egg bake and one of their pastries along with cafe au lait and soon sat down to enjoy my meal. It was a feast for my tastebuds as it tasted freshly made, and the coffee drink was also very good. I do highly recommend this place as yea the prices are a big high but the staff is helpful and its got a great vibe to it. They also have Wi-Fi available so if you need to do some work of any sort online, come in for a coffee and a snack and get what you need to get done! read more

I always want to support local coffee shops over the chain companies but it's hard when they can't be consistent. 2 stars cuz it's a cozy spot, went in for a quick drink with my wife. The employees were kind but didn't seem very knowledgeable. Ordered a chai and Latte. Latte was fine, but the chai was either made completely wrong or doesn't follow the traditional recipe. (Milk & chia concentrate) it really just tasted like hot water with cinnamon. I've worked at coffee shops so I understand mistakes can be made, I let one of the baristas know and asked if I could just have a $3 cappuccino instead. They were not very accommodating and made me feel like it was my issue not the coffee. Then they asked me to pay for the cappuccino after I returned the full chai. Just not the customer service I enjoy being around. Maybe we will return, but not likely with other good options in the city. read more

Recently I have sat and studied and been interrupted by the rude commentary from the manager to the employees. It seems I here about drama between co-workers every time I walk in. Not a horrible place to eat. I have to be honest though, I am a bigger fan of Starbucks and caribou coffee. The taste of Starbucks and caribou is just far more superior then perk place. I would only come here if I were in a hurry and there was a extremely long line at Starbucks and I needed a hot drink fast. I really enjoy almost everything about this coffee shop... EXCEPT THEY DON'T RECYCLE!! Cool, they have house cups, but their trash is heaping with recyclable lids and sleeves. I have to pass on this place more than I would like to. The staff is so friendly and it's so cozy. We are in a time where recycling is accessible and necessary. I feel this is irresponsible. Perk has been a favorite of mine since I moved to Duluth six months ago but now it's a go-to. With the best lattes in town and seriously the friendliest staff, you're missing out if you don't make a trip here. There's plenty of seats, outlets, and a good wifi connection if you're looking to get work done and the music is relatively quiet background noise!
