I have been a loyal customer for over a year now, being that I am 5'1 and petite I almost always have to bring my dresses and pants to get hemmed. I highly recommend friends and family over to Sabir and Sohrab. They are always so attentive, precise, and extremely helpful with styling. Anytime I bring items in I know for a fact that they will be exactly as they should. I am very grateful to have found such amazing tailors. Everyone there is always so happy and always have music and good vibes flowing.

They did an amazing job alternating my gown for my son's wedding and believe me, it was a lot of work!! Judy's Alterations was purchased by new owners & I must say their service & alterations are an improvement & FIRST CLASS!!! Sabir & Sohrab are the phenomenal new tailors & worked with Nordstroms for several years. Tell them LaTonaya says hello when you see them. They have new age sewing machines that are incredible & can do high end alterations. I took in a knitted long dress that needed to be shortened & the dress looks AMAZING after it was shortened & the knit loops looked like the dress was still brand new. Every other tailor I took the dress too told me they didn't have the machine needed to do the type of him my dress required. Judy's Alterations has the ability to tailor high end clothing.They are located in a small center that has food, jewelry, mani/pedi, ect...& there's plenty of parking. If your going to use Judy's for tailoring needs make sure to take your clothing in at least a week or two prior to when you need the clothing because they are super busy & can take a little time to get your clothing.The wait is totally worth it!!! :)

Highway robbery! I went in there yesterday to have a cheapie $40 Amazon beach dress hemmed. There is no beading, no fancy stitching, nothing. It was a simple fix. I saw the payment slip and thought it said $20 but it actually said $120! What?! I told the lady that was way too much and she just stared me down, removed the pins, and handed me back my dress. I went into a tailor shop this AM based on some recommendations in my neighborhood and I was quoted $30 for the hem with her apologies that it was so pricey. lol. So my dress will be hemmed for $30. Don't go to Judy's unless you want to be overcharged almost $100!!! read more

The moment I walked in I mentioned that I hadn't been to a good tailor before (my last tailor messed up my clothes) and two separate people in the store blurted out "you're at the right place!" Awful experience here! I took a swimsuit in that had a tear and asked them to fix it. They patched it from the inside but it looks like a child went crazy with the sewing machine! They didn't even try to be careful with the thread color. Honestly I could have done a better job and this is completely unprofessional for the amount of money they charged. They quoted me insane prices for alterations that were double the price of the dresses I brought in. read more

I needed a pair of work pants to be adjusted on the waist and shortened. (I had to buy a size larger bc my size was unavailable and I'm short and the pants did not come in the short length. ) I got a quote within a day through Yelp and they were kind enough to take my pants on a Monday afternoon and ready for pick up on a Thursday afternoon with no rush fee. (I was getting lots of rush fees in the quotes of other alteration places for the same time frame). The pants fit great! It was a bit of a drive for me but I would definitely come back in the future. read more

This is by far the best alteration store in the valley they work quickly and efficiently, and the finished product is always beautiful. I literally take all of my clothes here to get altered. I had them even shorten and takeoff the sleeves on a sweater dress and it turned out so good. It's my absolute favorite dress. I love this place. read more

Brought in a cotton dress for a hem and pricing was much higher than most local shops, more in line with department store charges. I agreed to the higher price, yet was surprised that when picking up the dress that it was not ironed. When inquiring as to why the dress wasn't ironed, I was told that they do not have a press. Yet, a simple iron would have done the job. They refused to iron the dress....a simple cotton dress! Considering their higher pricing, I would have expected the dress to be ironed and ready to wear. Find a more full service shop for your alterations. read more

It was my first time getting alterations done and I decided to come to Judy's. As a fit girl that has a bigger booty and smaller waist pants/shorts don't usually fit me. I brought in denim shorts and a denim skirt for them to alter and they pulled strings to have it ready for me before leaving for my vacation! I just picked them up and they fit beautifully now!! Edie cried about it every day. My wife tracked down the same bunny online, but it had been discontinued and the personalized embroidery was no longer available. We bought a plain one and brought it to Twisted Stitches, hoping they could recreate the name. The staff treated it like it mattered as much to them as it did to us. They helped me match the font and thread color to the original, and even carefully removed existing stitching from the ear so the embroidery could be placed perfectly. When I picked it up, it was flawless -- indistinguishable from the bunny we lost. When I asked what I owed, Mel, the owner, refused payment. She didn't ask for anything in return. She simply said she was hoping for the best for our daughter and was happy to help. Edie has slept with her bunny every night since. International Minute Press knocked it out of the park. THANK YOU SARAH. Due to my prior experience, I know that a perfect final product is not always easy. My job was a "rush" job and so I didn't have time to review a proof. The final product was absolutely PERFECT. It surpassed my expectations. The price was beyond fair. Judy's Alterations is the best in town ! I ran into a major problem when I bought my gown for my son's wedding. I did not zip it up the whole way when trying it on about a month before the wedding which turned out to be a big problem. It stopped zipping at the bust area. I took it to Judy's when they told me they can make it bigger by adding fabric to the back of my dress . I was concerned on how it would look since it was a very structured dress. Low and behold you can't even tell that it was ever touched .Im so happy how it turned out and the owners where so reassuring letting me know they could do a great job with out it being noticeable!!! . I had a great experience at Judy's Tailoring Shop. The team was incredibly kind, helpful, and easy to work with. They even accommodated a last-minute request to move my pickup time earlier, which really eased my stress since I'm flying out for a wedding. That flexibility meant a lot. Beyond their professionalism, they were genuinely fun to talk to. Judy's is the best alterations option in Scottsdale. They are refreshingly honest, and will tell you whether clothing is worth altering and/or KEEPING if they don't think the material is of good quality. They have altered pants, shirts, and suits of mine and every time it has been done the right way. They will take great care of you, and for small holes they've fixed it complimentary with speed while I get other items tailored. I've never had a tailor this good from a big retailer when purchasing clothes, and they will go above and beyond to make you satisfied. read more
