Excellent work. A bit on the pricey side, however she is able to knock out your product stat (emergency fast) if needed. I commented upon checkin that whoever started the saggy basketball and longer inseam surf short trend deserves verbal punishment (let's not even mention cargo shorts!) So yes, I took my newly retail puchased shorts in to get them shortened yet slight more. Not Freddy Mercury or Village People short, but about a hems length. Nadya's work is more quality than the original product by far. The bonus of going to Nadya was that she had a spicy personality and was fun to banter with. read more

There's not enough words I could say to thank Nadya for her talent/gift. I had purchased a Halloween costume the day before Halloween for a party and to my surprise it was unflattering and too big all over. I quickly looked up same day alterations - on halloween. Nayda assured me that she would be able to tailor my costume in time for the party that evening. I was so happy to hear that it was possible. And LET ME TELL YOU... IT FIT LIKE A GLOVE. The work Nayda did was outstandingly perfection! On top of that she went above and beyond and altered parts that we hadn't discussed WITH NO EXTRA CHARGE! I couldn't believe the attention to detail, the measurements were perfect! I will definitely be back for any of my tailoring needs! You can not beat the price or the attention to detail! Thank you Nadya read more

Nadya is a wonderful woman who does great work. Unfortunately I was by the shop today and there was a sign on the door for non payment of rent, and I have not seen her open the shop in over a month. Don't know what happened to her, but she is not responding to phone calls or anything. Other tenants said she has not been there in over a month. Very sad. read more

This store has not been open for over two weeks they have my clothes I paid to have them altered I want my clothes back there is a sign on the door that says the clothes will be donated to charity I want to get my clothes back read more

This is the single worst alterations company I have ever had to deal with. I went in with my wife and got a quote on a dress for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Gala. She gave us a quote for $120 and required us to pay upfront. The day we were due to pick up the dress she called and added $100 to the quote. Obviously we can't be held hostage to whatever Nadya feels like charging a day before the event. We will now have to pick the dress up and get an emergency alteration. *** We picked up the dress untouched and took it to a competitor of Nadya's and it only cost $54. DO NOT TRUST NADYA. Not only is she a crook but she is a rip-off. I have NEVER seen a business run like this. read more

We have been trying to reach Nadya by phone and multiple visits to the store. There is no information posted on window... In the past she was very responsive to phone calls and I suspect that she has had a family emergency. I would only give stellar reviews in the past, this is a lower rating due to lack of communication. Let's hope we hear from her soon read more

Nadya was a dream and a gem and I'm so lucky to have found her! When I got married it was not in the warm sun of Arizona, but rather in my husband's town of Chicago. This meant that I needed a little warmer dress, and was traveling back and forth between locations while trying to plan my wedding. Enter Nadya. I came to her a few weeks before the wedding, asking for some minor alterations on a silk satin gown I thought fit fairly well. She was able to do everything in the very short time I gave her, and also suggested an additional change at the bust, for a very reasonable price, which made the dress fit 100% better. She has a great eye for extremely fine detail (she could even tell my right arm is very slightly bigger than my left, and tailored it to accommodate)! My gown was thick duchess silk satin, and she had to take out the seams and then go, stitch, by stitch, through the existing holes in the material, to ensure that no new holes were made. This must've taken hours upon hours. The fabric came out perfectly. The dress fit like a glove. I felt like royalty on my wedding day. Nadya is also one of the sweetest ladies, and her prices are very reasonable. She tells you exactly what work needs to be done (hem taken out, new backing put on, etc), and itemized her costs. Really I would've paid a lot more for her quality of work. If you are getting married and need dress alterations, please check out Nadya! I loved working with her and my gown turned out better than I had imagined! read more

I needed my kid's hockey jersey altered and Nadya did an amazing job. She was professional and clearly understood what was needed to have the uniform fit correctly and still look good. We were most impressed that she made us a mask out of the leftover material. My son was super excited to show his mask off to his teammates. read more

Amazing service and wonderful couple owned business! Prior to going to Nadya's I called one day ahead of time asking if she could alter a dress in less than 24 hours. I came across her business based on a a Google search and review of the ratings she had. The gown I needed fixed I ordered online and had no idea how it would fit and how much would need to be done to it. I dropped off the dress Thursday afternoon and picked it up Friday morning, just in time for a wedding I was flying in town for. In less than 24 hours, Nadya altered the dress perfectly, hugging my every curve. She knows exactly what she's doing and what she's talking about. Her and her husband Michael were so welcoming and accommodating. I can't express how thankful I am that she took on this project and made my gown fit like a glove. She is detail oriented and wanted the dress to be perfect as if she was wearing it herself. I appreciate the expedited service and her kindness for such a hasty request. Nadya, thank you again for your kindness and warm welcome to Arizona. When I went to the back to have my dress steamed, she had an entire rack of garments that were due within the next few days and for her to take mine with such short notice was amazing. I could see she was the go to person for her craft. I cannot express my gratitude and the number of compliments I received on the fit of my dress. Thank you! read more

I work next door, and I love her ! She has done an excellent job of slim fitting my baggy shirts !! Well she did ask me if I was gay but then hey, given how animated I get about clothes I dont blame her for askin ! My SO found this rather amusing and laughed her head off... oh well getting back to my review. I love nadya cuz she does a wonderful job, each time. She knows when the darts will give the slimming effect and when the sides are to be taken in. Its never too tight and never too lose, and she always always delivers on time. I have been here atleast 10 times !! Trust me my metrosexuality wouldnt let me let me go back if it wasnt a five star service!! read more

Honestly can't believe I'm writing this review right now. Went over to Nadya's place based on the great reviews but some of the bad ones made me a bit skeptical. When I asked about altering the sleeves on my dress, she looked at me and said "you don't look like you're RICH rich. What are you, a college student?" It took me a second to register what she just commented and I was taken aback. Can't believe the audacity she had to make an assumption like that and say it out loud. Didn't want to give her any of my business so I left. read more

I have been going here for years and really enjoyed it, but it looks like they have shut down. I stopped by the other day and there is a letter saying that the landlord has taken the property back, and to call Devyn at (480) 836-8848 to get your things back. Sorry to see her go, I hope Nadya and her daughter are ok. read more

I'm so impressed by her work! Not to mention she's the sweetest person around very kind and caring and tried to get me the best price. I lost a lot of weight and I needed my dress white jacket taken in but it was no easy job. There are lost of folds and pockets so I was not going to trust just anyone with my uniform. I went to her shop on a whim and I'm glad I did! She spent a lot of time measuring and pinning my size. She is a professional and take her time. In the end. Y jacket was ready in 4 days and looked very sharp on me, very form fitting. She's very friendly and takes pride in her work in a time where it's only about the money to most people, she wants to make you happy with how you look. Thanks so much! read more

Quality Alterations by Nadya - Her work on my uniform - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Scottsdale, Arizona

I only used Nadya once so far for a small zipper fix, but I will be back! I felt right at ease here and enjoyed chatting with Nadya. Came in for a last minute alteration and Emma pulled it off with a gentle smile. Very professional. Even requested I try altered slacks on to verify they were to my expectation and perfection. Small fee for the rush order and completely worth it. These folks have always had my business and will continue too. Thank you Emma for great customer service and your excellent work on my dress slacks. read more

I really with I could give more than 5 stars to Nadya!!!! Seriously she was an angel to me yesterday!!! So I'm getting married on Saturday and on Wednesday night I got my suit back from being tailored and after trying it on they definitely messed it up and with only two days left I was worried I wouldn't find somebody I was able to quickly be able to help me without charging me an arm and a leg while we were preparing for this magical day. I stood outside her shop waiting for her to open and when she got there she could see my anxiety about my situation she not only calmed my nerves but she told me that she would be able to help me for sure to be sure I look my best on my special day. She treated me like a king and was the sweetest most professional tailor I have ever had an opportunity to work with. Normally people that are really talented at their work or not also this kind. You can tell she absolutely loves what she does. I met with her at noon on Thursday and she told me she could have a rush order fixed by Friday close of business at 5 PM so I could have it for my wedding on Saturday. She then called me later that evening around 6 PM the same day to tell me that she had finished it rushed order for me and I could come pick them up the same day! I told her I was setting up for my wedding and wouldn't be able to make it to her in time so I would come tomorrow and she said don't worry I will stay here at the store until late to which I replied I wouldn't even be able to make it over there till after we're done setting up which would be somewhere around 9:30 PM she said that's totally fine and then met me at her sewing shop at 9:30 PM to give me my tailored suit. It has been so long since I've experienced this type of customer not service but customer care that it has absolutely blown my mind. I will never ever ever ever ever use another tailor in the world besides her..... are use yelp to find people but I never was the guy that leaves reviews but this one was so important and if you live in the Phoenix area and you go to anyone else you're crazy!!! read more

I procrastinated getting my bridesmaid's dress hemmed for my friend's wedding. Late Friday afternoon I decided to stop dragging my feet and looked for somewhere near my work to take the dress for hemming. Did I mention I needed the dress done by the following Thursday (6 days)?! Enter Nadya to save the day! Walked in without an appointment. There was one lady in front of me discussing a custom dress with Nadya's husband, so I had to wait a few minutes. Once she was done, I nervously approached the counter. I showed him the dress and said " I need this hemmed to my knee but also need it back by Thursday at the latest." He said it would be no problem, which I took to meant "sure, we'll just charge you a ridiculous rush fee," but I was desperate and didn't ask. He grabbed Nadya and she came from the back. She was sassy, sweet, as and hilarious- I love her! She did her thing, pinning the dress to the length I wanted. She confirmed it would be ready Thursday and said she doesn't charge for rush jobs. Score! I had another bridesmaid's dress hemmed at a different alterations place last year. It was $95 to hem the dress and put in cups, so I was afraid this would be similarly priced. When Nadya's husband rang me up and said "$65," I couldn't help but smile. Just picked up the dress and it looks great! I don't need things altered too often, but will definitely come back if I do. read more

Nadya, was absolutely AMAZING! The BEST! Story time... I needed a pair of pants patched for a work meeting that same day. In this Industry, ANY alterations or patch work takes a minimum a week to get back. After speaking with Nadya, she said for me to come in so she could see it. I explained to her that I needed it on short notice. She said she would have it done in 2 hours! WOW, REALLY?? Needless to say i entrusted Nadya with the job to patch my pants. I got a call 1-5 hours later that they were done and ready for pick up. The patch work is nearly invisible to the naked eye. It's truly incredible to see this type of workmanship and love put into this textile material all within 2 hours!!!! Her passion and heart for her work clearly shows by the quality of her work. And to top it off...She has to be the sweetest and kindest person I have ever met!!! I can't make this up. You just have to go in to meet this amazing women. For all my clothing needs and alterations. Nadya, has won my heart and my business for life! Thank you Nadya!!!! read more

This place is fantastic She typically prefers a weeks turn around time to be fair to all her other customers. Wonderful owner and family. Great work read more

HORRIBLE experience. DO NOT GO HERE! Nadya has a very fake personality so beware. She requires you to pay in full upfront. She quoted me $600 upfront, then added another $120 the day I picked up. She promised my wedding dress to be done within the 3 weeks she had it, when I went in on the scheduled pick up day she did not even start altering my dress. What a nightmare. She didn't even call me to reschedule a pick up. She was rude and gave excuses left and right of why she "forgot" my wedding dress. She offered a refund that she never gave to me. read more

Just moved out here from San Francisco. I thought prices for alterations were expensive there but its way more here. I did not agree with prepaying for a hem job and the lady promptly snapped at me saying a lady early in the day made a $300 prepayment with no issues. Hmm thanks for belittling me. Nonetheless I won't be going back here. Only reason I dropped off a pair of pants is because of time constraints. read more

Was dissapointed in this last job and wasn't so impressed the first time, so my fault for going back. First, if I am paying $18 to have a simple hem done on pants, I would hope that would include them pressing the pants. Second, when I put the pants on, I am positive they didn't even hem them. I will not be taking them back for them to charge me $18 again, and will probably be doing the hem myself. read more

I found Nadya when looking for a place to fix my wedding gown. Not only this place is about a mile from my home, yet Nadya is the nicest and funniest alteration lady ever! She did an amazing job with my wedding dress and my now husband trousers (for the wedding). Even though a few people here in yelp had commented about Nadya's pre-payment policy, I have to say that I didn't hesitate a bit to pay up-front, she was super sweet, and very detailed when showing me the options we had to make the dress look great. The best of all of it is that she loves dogs and her dog is a very sweet pooch! For sure in the future I am bringing all my alterations to her! Her best policy is "straight forward honesty"... read more

Nadya is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Part of her personality is what kept me coming back. Recently she altered a bridesmaids dress for my girlfriend and did a terrific job. Flawless. In years past, she has altered all of my "work attire." I have since moved, but whenever I return home, if I ever need any work done I will bring it with. Nadya, you are a wonderful person, and any recommendation I can send your way I will! read more

I've been getting my alternations done by Nadya since 2005. I'm 4' 11.5", so even most petite clothes are too long for me. Yes, she's a bit more expensive than others, but her quality reminds me of my mother's sewing. Nadya makes sure the clothes fit properly, so I don't cut off the tags until she looks at how it fits. If she says there's a problem, then I'll return the article of clothing. I trust her work, I trust her judgment, and I will recommend her to anyone who needs a seamstress. read more

Nadya is amazing. She is a kind, sweet woman is does a great job. Will be bringing all my alteration needs to her!

My coworker recommended Nadya. I was looking for a place to go that was convenient to stop by on the way home from work. I haven't had anything hemmed in years, so I'm not sure how the prices compare. I had a pant leg hemmed shut where the stitches had come out, and a new zipper added to a pair of jeans, and it was $35. They did a great job, and when I went back to pick them up she had me cracking up! She was helping another lady while I waited who must go there often, and they were laughing and the lady thanked her a bunch and hugged her goodbye. I think she has a great friendly personality! The only thing I was a little surprised about was prepaying, I wanted to wait to make sure everything looked good first. They said so many people forget to come back that they have to charge up front. Nonetheless both pants turned out great! read more

What a great place. Such a wonderful lady. Look forward to using her for all my alteration needs in the future.

Top notch alterations. Nadya is a perfectionist. With every item I bring in she is very precise and also honest, if she has concerns with my expectations. I've even brought in items that I've walked back out with because she advised that her fee to alter the items would be more than I am interested in spending, considering the cost of the item. Her fees are fair and her work is the best. read more

Nadya is the best tailor in Scottsdale. She shortened many of my long gowns and did an absolutely amazing job. My 25th wedding anniversary gown was very difficult to shorten, but it turned out perfect thanks to her expertise.
