I stopped in with a Christmas stocking that was coming apart at the seam to ask if they could fix it. The woman who came forward said, "I don't do that. That takes way too much time and I'm too busy; just buy a new one." I explained that this was handmade for my daughter when she was a baby - I can't just buy a new one! This is a family-owned and operated business that delivers quality alterations at reasonable prices. The owner/seamstress is the bonafide example of a legal immigrant seeking a better life and relentlessly pursuing it with her talents in craft. I have been a customer for 15 years and have referred as many people as I can. Not just because of the work's quality and value; but because of the 'feel' of this business that's been long forgotten in uber-digital, multi-screen corporate settings. In the over 15 years and hundreds of garments altered; there have certainly been poor stitches or hem mistakes made. To err is human and that humanity is what makes this business special. Each and every time, those issues were corrected with an apology and free-of-charge repair. Umm unless you are ready to get charged an arm and a leg I do not recommend. Yes, she altered my dress in the time frame I needed it, and yes it reached my expectations. However I just needed to move up the hem on my dress about 2-3 inches and it was literally $120. Yes we are in the heart of scottsdale but I mean come on. It's a lot of work but still $75 Max would do just fine for a total price. won't be going back sorry lady read more

I needed three pairs of slacks hemmed within a short time frame and they were completed on time and with expert lengths and hems. I was a walk-in customer. One of the pairs additionally required a waist fitting, which was completed perfectly. This lady knows her craft. I will return here for all of my future alterations. I went to Europe alterations, recommended by a friend, I brought in slacks that I needed hemming. I tried the slacks on with the shoes I would wear with it for the owner to measure the length. Picked them up a week later, went home tried them on with my shoes that I had on at the time of fitting and they were 4 inches to short!!! Went back to European alterations and told them what the issue was and the owner told me that I didn't have to right shoes at the time of fitting. Which is not true and basically blamed me for the incorrect measurements. Thank god she had left fabric in the length to pull from to fix the issue. The 2nd time I went there I had them alter my leather skirt I needed it to be taken in the waist. It was brand new never worn. Picked up a week later and noticed as I was hanging the skirt back in my closet that the side seems were coming undone and the inside lining was ripped! Had to go back and get it fixed. A week later picked up the skit and dropped off a sweater tank top that need the straps taken in. They were too loose and just need to be taken in a bit. This was the 3rd time going in and my last time. I picked up my sweater tank today and the straps look like a 10 year old kid did it, practicing how to sew. All they did was cut the seem flipped it in and resewed it. It's now bulky and looks ridiculous! That's it I'm done with them! Never going back! For anyone out there need a little dose of positivity... I have a really nice professional looking computer/work backpack that one of the straps was coming undone. Was going to go buy a special needle and thread to try to fix it myself but stopped by European Alterations on my way home to see if they could fix it. The lady there fixed it in 5 minutes cuz she said she was on a break and it wouldn't take long. It looks brand new again and when I asked her how much she said $4.00. She didn't take cards and I was about to run to an ATM and she said "Don't bother. Pay me a little extra the next time you're in." I paid her with a hug at least and let her know she made my day. If anyone needs some alterations, please go there!!! read more

After years of using this tailor, I will never go back after today. I took a pair of high-end flaired jeans into the tailor to be shortened. I got them back with a pant hem- not the original hem which in jeans is so important to how they look. To make matters worse, the hem was shoddily done and not straight. I then paid extra to have the original hem put back on and when I returned today she said wasn't able to find both of the original hems in her scrap pile. Therefore I now have flaired jeans with a awful looking pant hem. Things happen so I expressed my dissatisfaction for a second time. The owner told me that it was my fault since her daughter "took my order and asked me if I wanted the original hem and I said no". Ridiculous and completely untrue. What happened to customer service???????????? Instead of owning up to the mistake, she argued with me and told me it was my fault. I started using this business at the recommendation of Prestige Cleaners ( next door and awesome). Any reputable business would have offered to reimburse me the $200 for my jeans, but she was hostile and stood her ground. There are too many options out there to risk ruining your good clothes. This is my first time going here for an alteration on 2 shirts. The owner told me each shirt would be $12.00 cash and would be ready within 1 week. I returned within that time frame and received both shirts back and both were hemmed crooked - badly. I told her I wanted my $24.00 back and she said the shirts were not crooked even though I tried both on in front of her and they was clearly mismatched once buttoned. The owner became defensive and said I was not looking at them correctly and she would either give me the money, but she wanted to keep the shirts. I told her I would be keeping my shirts, and it was bad customer service for her not to acknowledge she did bad work and return my money. I would never return here again and advise against using their services. read more

I have been using them for as long as I can remember since moving here in 2002 probably - and I think they are some of the nicest most honest and most reliable people/shops around, it is a pleasure to have someone like this in the neighborhood. I will say something positive before going on and that is I've been going to this alteration shop for many years possibly 8 years or more. I cannot complain about too much from the past experiences because my clothes were coming to me as I needed and as I requested However, as of today I am seriously considering not returning simply because it seems that the owner was quite unwilling to accommodate my request for a simple bikini top alteration. I thought about this long and hard today and believe that if she is able to alter gowns and wedding dresses, she can alter a small uncomplicated swim top! I even shopped for the pads since she said she didnt have any (hard to believe). what was frustrating in our conversation - every time I explained something and held my clothing she would take it out of my hands and explain I was incorrect in my thinking. I got mixed messages on if she would help or not. I don't think she wanted to do my alteration at all. Not a people person but I overlooked this in the past because my clothes returned to me in good shape. I ended up calling on another seamstress who is a fitness student of mine, her reply to me was, "yes I can help you with your top, I'll be at the gym tomorrow and Friday just let me know what works." 6/16/16 I found a gym student of mine who sews - she fixed my top for $8.00! read more
