Look I try to be positive when I live relatively close to places that I may have to use more than once in a pinch but I've used this place .. IN a pinch .. and ONLY in a pinch. This place is expensive and the nonsensical words that come from this owners mouth almost made me laugh when I brought in a business skirt I had to have for a business trip that I bought for a last minute trip I was asked to go on with less than a weeks notice. The skirt was way too big for me but it's what I was left with. This lady gave ME, the customer the hardest time about my shape , ( yes , I'm petite and I have a curvy butt and very small waist); I laughed it off but she told me I needed to grow and 'buy right size next time!' Going between her language and English. For a hem and bringing the waist in , ( I told her to leave the hip alone ) she wanted over $200! I had NO choice because my usual alteration person was not in town. The skirt was less than $100. I let it go ; paid up front as she complained about how busy she was etc etc. I did appreciate the text when it was done. Picked it up and carried on. Next it was a dress I needed for a wedding. This wasn't so last minute. I needed a simple hem of 3-4 inches. Our alterations lady this time is sick. So my husband said he would drop it off here since I said that I could not deal with this owner and her put downs about my size. I've lost a lot of weight in the last two years but it still gets me that anyone wants to shame someone for their size??! I'm a size 4 some days - some days a 6 .. this lady again ostracized my husband and told him HOW busy she was! And how this was gonna take her so much time and planning ahead ..& so now he got it! He was like ' can you do it or ?' She said , ' pay me upfront ' .. he did $100! Again for a simple hem. Over a weeks notice. We have had things cleaned and it takes longer than most places- generally we use a place in PV near my husband's office due to how kind they are ; how prompt they are and how much they pay attention to detail. I'm literally afraid of this lady and don't know what would take place if we had an issue with our stuff ?! So again.. I'm swearing off this place again. read more

The alterations done by Leslie are excellent! She knows what she's doing and she knows what needs to be done to make your clothing fit. She is by far the best seamstress I have ever used. Plus the dry cleaning is great, no smelly chemicals and done in a timely manner. Everyone who works here is professional and friendly. read more

I came to this custom tailor to have straps shortened on a mini dress. The owner said she understood what we wanted, quickly pinned up the straps and said it would be $55 to alter a dress I paid $39 for. I assumed it would be done professionally and to our satisfaction. We came to pick it up and the straps were still 1 1/2" too long. I asked her to make the correction and she said she would have to "start from scratch " and redo the work. She wanted me to pay an additional $27.50 to fix her work. I was shocked she would not make it right. She told me she was not willing to do anything unless I paid more. Never have I ever gone to a custom tailor and left with a garment ill fitting and not to my satisfaction with respect to fit. Typically a tailor would want the customer to be satisfied with their work. Avoid this place at all costs!! read more

Sad to write this review because if you would've asked me a week ago I would've given them 5 stars. We have spent THOUSANDS of dollars here in dry cleaning and alterations. Today that ended over a $200 pair of silver pants. I brought the pants in to be dry cleaned and got them back with spots all over them. First off I understand that mistakes happen and I really wasn't expecting much but a I'm sorry here's a $50 credit on your account. Shoot an I'm sorry would have been enough. Instead I received accusations of me ruining them and lies about what happened. Because of this I will be taking my business elsewhere. I'm writing this review to inform others so this doesn't happen to you as well. read more

Leslie is the best. Try and find better in the valley- you can't. I've been having Leslie do our dry cleaning and my tailoring for about 3 years now. The most important thing in a tailor is their honesty- at least to me. I've taken several items to Leslie where she will be honest and say even with my tailoring it won't fit how I want it. She always gives great advice and tailors things perfectly. Kudos to the time she turned a full sequin dress around in 3 days when she basically had to remake the entire thing for me (while fighting chemo side effects) I'll fly in or hold off on wearing a garment until I can have Leslie fit it. That's how good she is. She's offered to make clothes for me rather than always taking clothes apart and remaking them and one day I will take her up on that. Dry cleaning is always on time and done well. Plus she doesn't add any iron on patches that other dry cleaners do WITHOUT permission on to your clothes. Go to her and never look back. Pricing is extremely fair for the area (bonus) because any other place is like oh you live in Troon? That's 15% markup. read more

While they have done decent work for me in the past, seems like they are smoking something with regard to how they price their work. Lightweight cotton summer pants where I already took down the hem and just needed new stitching for new, longer length...$30. Hmmm, that takes about 5 minutes (I know because I do sew but don't have a machine any longer). So I guess their rate for sewing is $360/hour? Seems right...no wait, I mean INSANE! read more

I've taken a number of items for alterations here and Leslie is quite the professional. It's obvious she has tailoring skills beyond alterations. Although a little higher price she takes the time to take apart waistbands and all seams, so I'm not going to complain about the $35 price. You can find less expensive, but they won't take a part the waistband and seams, so it looks perfect they'll make it look bunched and feel uncomfortable. Thank you Leslie for your skills. read more

Very very very good tailor. Exceptional. Truly. Going here has changed the way I buy clothes. I buy items that are on sale and have them completely re-tailored to fit me. I have been a long time customer, but no longer will patronize this business. I took in my shirts for cleaning & a pair of jeans to be shortened. After trying on the jeans, the proprietor, Leslie measured them & said that they should be taken in in the seat. I said OK to go ahead, not thinking to ask a price (my fault) nor did she offer to tell me the cost. When I picked up the jeans, she said that it would be $85.00 for the alterations. I was flabbergasted at this outrageous cost. She then said that because I was a long time client she had given me a 15% discount. So the original price was $100.00. In speaking to many friends & acquaintances, they all found that this charge was exorbitant. read more

I moved to Scottsdale several months ago from New York City . I have tried several dry cleaners and tailors in the area and have finally found the one I LOVE. Not only friendly service but excellent tailoring and cleaning. I took 3 items. One for dry cleaning one for tailoring and one for sewing. All three items came back perfect.
