I'm writing this as a WARNING to other pet owners in the community. I recently hired Steve from Z Cleaners and I returned to find my dog in a state of obvious distress & after reviewing my security footage, I was HORRIFIED to see Steve abusing my innocent dog. This video was SO hard to watch and broke my heart... I watched him KICK him in the face and he's not a big dog so he flew back and he was just running up to say hello.... This is COMPLETELY unacceptable and I am still shaken thinking about how traumatized my poor baby must have been. It makes me sick to my stomach to think that I paid this company to mistreat my beloved pet. I would NEVER recommend even considering hiring these heartless abusers.. The safety and well-being of our homes INCLUDING our pets should be top priority and Steve clearly does not share that value or feel any empathy. Please, for the sake of your heart and pets safety, take your business elsewhere. Staying at a hotel in North Scottsdale for an extended stay, I needed to find a place to do laundry for myself and my boyfriend. Searching on Google maps, we found Z Cleaners. We called and spoke with a woman about their laundry services. After hearing what we were wanting, we drove to the establishment noted in Google maps - but it was obviously an old location with no signs and locked doors. Determined, my boyfriend called them to get the correct address (about 2 miles away). Once we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and big smile by the woman we spoke with earlier. She apologized for the inconvenience by Google maps, as they'd tried changing it many times through Google over the past 10 years since they'd moved!! We asked if one shirt could have the sleeves hemmed and then ironed. We were told the pressing staff had the next day off, so they wouldn't be able to accommodate that special request. No big deal, so we thanked her and told her we'd return the following day at noon. The next day, we received a text that our clothes were ready 3 hours early!! At the cleaners, we were greeted by the husband- equally as pleasant. We got back to the hotel to put out clothes away, and found a special request was granted. We'd HIGHLY recommend this family business- they offer fantastic customer service, quality cleaning, and many other clothing services (tailoring, etc). Make sure not to question their service quality at all or you will be ask to stop being a customer also. Two months ago I needed some alterations done for my dress for the upcoming wedding of my daughter, and I was delighted by Irina's work. And then 2 days before the wedding, my daughter decided on some alterations to her wedding gown. Two days before the wedding! And again, Irina was at the top of her game: not only she managed to accomplish everything on time, but the gown was also pressed/steamed and it looked absolutely heavenly - it was floating and airy. It had not even occurred to us to ask for it to be steamed, but under an amazing management/ownership of Geralyn it was done. My advice to all the brides: do it! The results will be incredible! We are SO very grateful for it: Many wedding guests commented that the gown was "gorgeous" and "stunning". A million thanks to Irina, Geralyn and whoever steamed the wedding gown! If they clean clothes like they drive and answer phones, avoid at all costs. I was waiting my turn at a gas station near their location and a driver in one of their vans with zero regard for those around him almost side-swiped my vehicle and was within an inch of taking off my front end in order to cut in front of me and others waiting. He didn't acknowledge what he did whatsoever and stood there smacking his gum loud enough to hear from two pumps over. He zoomed out of the station way too fast once finished. When I called to express worries over this driver being allowed to operate a company vehicle, let alone drive at all, I was hardly even met with an apology or concern. I wasn't asking for anything and just said that the management team should know, and yet I just got a quick "oh ok" and they ended the call as quickly as possible. He clearly could not have cared less about those around him and was chosen for employment by a supposedly "premiere" cleaning service meant to handle delicate, expensive personal items. I wouldn't want someone like that coming anywhere close to the items they advertise to clean, take care of, and deliver. read more

My daughter in law needed her wedding dress cleaned. I called Geralyn, the owner to let her know. She advised me that it was a two week turnaround time but she would see what she could do. Her and her staff were very professional and courteous. The dress was done within a week! They did a great job and kept me updated the entire time. I would definitely recommend them. read more

They do great work, but charge ridiculous prices! The price sheet is the "base" price. They offer a "black service" which allows for more expensive pieces to be handled a bit differently - for example, the pills on sweaters are removed, or specific fabric falls under this category. I got 3 things dry cleaned for $75. It was obscene! I've been in the professional business world for a while and have had nice brand name clothing such as Vince dry cleaned for years. I wear a suit/tie every day. I'm not complaining - I actually like getting dressed up for work. But, with the outfit comes cleaning. I drop off a load of dress shirts and suits here once a week. Occasionally I throw in a tie or two if I got a bit careless. My clothes are always done on time. They are always cleaned and pressed to perfection, any stain I've thrown at them has come out, and they don't charge a fortune. Add on top of that a friendly and helpful staff. Let me give you a recent example. Late last week, I dropped off several garments that I recently found wadded up in a ball in a box during a recent move. They were expensive Hugo Boss dress shirts (and what they were doing in a box wadded up is beyond me). Upon discovering them, I knew exactly what to do with them. "Take them to Z Cleaners!" is what ran through my head. So that I did, knowing full well that if anyone could make my clothes look like new, it was Z Cleaners. I picked up my clothes yesterday and, sure enough, they looked like I just bought them from a retailer. Not a detail was left out. But that's not surprising, as that's been my experience over the years. As soon as you walk into Z Cleaners, you will feel a sense of "this is a dry cleaner that gets it." The employees always greet me with a smile. I always feel like I'm important and that my clothes are a priority. You will not be disappointed with the quality of service. Okay guys, you do a decent job with the clothes but my biggest complaint is when I ask how much the difference between the Diamond and Silver service is, give me a straight answer. Had a few of my items that I needed pressed and requested the hand ironing service with the "Silver". How does a shirt cost $8.00 to hand iron--mind you no laundry or dry cleaning, just simply pressing the darn thing. I had asked initially about pricing and when I picked up the bill was way different then what I had spoken to the girl about. The explanation....get ready for this... " some shirts require extra work or since the buttons are more delicate it's charged at the Diamond rate". Well if your going to arbitrarily charge more for again, just a normal launder or simple hand iron one must mention that when asked, not just "tack it on". So I don't know if Z Cleaners knows but there are several more reasonably priced places, oh within about 1/2 mile that will do a better job and not price gouge a customer at pick up. read more

I had 13 pieces and it cost me $125, and that was with a 15% discount. That is unbelievable! Their excuse is that they are in an upscale neighborhood, but in reality they are in an industrial park. This place is fantastic!!! I just picked-up several items for both my boyfriend and I which included his dress shirts/pants, casual shirts, a very expensive tie with an oil or grease stain, my sweaters that have been schlepped from floor to floor and had lint all over them, and a favorite shirt that was looking a bit worn. The total came to $70 for all ten items and included two seaters that needed significant de-pilling and one that needed an alternation. I believe I spoke with Geralyn when I first came in on Tuesday. I told her I was new to their place but had heard great things. She took the time to go through each item and let me know which service -- Diamond or Silver -- would be best. I thought for sure she would say "oh Diamond for everything" to make more money. Nope. She even said that some items don't need Diamond especially since the designer tag will increase the price 20%-50%. I appreciated her honesty: she seems to care about the quality of the work over the price, meaning if she thinks the item will fantastic with the cheaper option she won't recommend the Diamond to you. All of the clothes look BRAND NEW. I am amazed at not only the friendly service and attention to detail paid to each item when I dropped off my clothes, but the quality of work here is fantastic. My sweaters look as if I just bought them a month ago. I could literally see the difference just by looking at the clothes through the bag. My boyfriend tried on his polos and said he noticed a difference. I also love their automated valet system. It is only available for Diamond and Silver level items but I was able to pick-up my stuff after dinner last night to wear this weekend without have to make a separate trip like I usually have to with other dry cleaners. Yes, this place is more expensive but I didn't find their pricing exorbitant. A Hugo Boss dress shirt with the Diamond level was $4. A Burberry tie with a stain was $7. You might pay $3+ more an item but the quality is so worth it, especially if you have designer labels. Those pieces are an investment so when you use a great dry cleaners your clothes will last longer and look great for months. If I had known the work here was so amazing -- and not been scared away by all these reviews of insane pricing -- I would have come here a long time ago. It's not like Z's charges $20 an item that elsewhere costs $4 or $6. read more

I have been taking my husband's business suits here for years and have recommended friends. My daughter needed a stain taken out of a dress she was going to wear to a wedding. I went in with her to pick it up. They wanted to charge her more than she was quoted. The owner came out and was very rude to her, blaming her for everything. She said she had fixed the belt loop that my daughter "ripped more when she dropped it off" and had rushed them so they couldn't do their best job on the dress, pointing out some faint stains that they had found. She reiterated several times the price that should have been quoted in the first place, stating she trains all her employees to tell the customers about the pricing ( in my opinion, calling my daughter a liar). She eventually charged the price that was quoted when my daughter dropped the dress off but was very clear she would not be doing it again in the future. Very disappointing customer service and I will not be giving them my business or recommendations in the future! read more

The seamstress did a great job altering a bridesmaids dress. She was quick, too. The price was $40 less than three other seamstresses in the area. I also appreciated the dry clean staff for wrapping my dress so well. I explained that I would be traveling by plane with the dress and wouldn't have time to steam it before the wedding so they packed it with that in mind and the store manager told me how to pack it in my suitcase to minimize wrinkles. I'll use them again for alterations. If they were closer to my home, I would also go to them for my dry cleaning. read more

This is an update to my first review and the poor response by Z cleaners. I was upfront in stating I created the water rings. I brought the robe in for this reason. I understood that the rings may or may not be removed, what I was not told is that color loss could occur nor was I contacted if color loss was spotted after I brought it in. The owner states the color loss was entered in the system upon my arrival..this is false. Both the sales associates (will leave out names) and I looked over the robe to mark where the water spots were and saw nothing of the sort. The ticket I was given showed no indication of "color loss" in the notes nor was it discussed. I never saw color loss on the robe and it did not have a snag on it before it was brought in. An associate there stated that she saw color loss when she received the robe however; I was never contacted in regards to this. If there was indeed color loss as this company is stating, I should have been contacted and notified that the robe should not be worked on. I was not contacted before an attempt to clean the garment was made, this alone seems suspicious. If I would have been contacted before the cleaning took place for the color loss issue (they are stating was beforehand) then I could have witnessed the color loss they are stating I did. Instead I received the robe back and saw 3 white spots and a snag on it that both the (sales associate) and I did not see when I brought it in. If the color loss was there before it was cleaned then it shouldn't have been treated and I should have been contacted. A sales associate at the company apologized for not contacting me before the robe was treated. She stated they "assumed" that I knew there was color loss and that I couldn't see it from all angles. Again, there was not color loss when I brought the robe in. Also, the snag created when they cleaned it was never addressed by any employees or the manager at Z cleaners. When I confronted the two associates about it they said "oh I don't know." I am not in agreement with this company, I still believe they ruined my garment. I have not responded because I am sick of the condescending emails I kept receiving from the owner G.P. I asked her 2x to stop emailing me and still she continued. I also received 4 phone calls from her employee _ all on the same day. Regardless, I contacted the company the same day I received the calls and spoke with two employees there and let both of them know that since they are stating it was something I did, that I did not want the owner to contact me any further. I told the owner I was not going to continue to go back in forth on this situation if that was her stance. To address the $10 discounted charge: when my husband went to pick up the items for me he asked if they offered a military discount. The associate he was dealing with was not sure so she went to ask the manager and the manager came back. He also asked the associate if they got the water rings out and she stated "I don't know, I just know there is a white spot on it now." The associate then left and got the owner. She (owner) then asked my husband if there was a problem and he was surprised as he was just asking if they offered a discount. He then proceeded to tell them that I told him the item was supposed to be $10-$15 and that it jumped up to $26 so this is why he asked about the discount. The owner then stated that the price I told him was incorrect and he said that that is what I had told him they quoted me. This is why the owner decided to discount the garment by $10. I was originally quoted a price of $10-$15 by the sales associate on the robe, both on the phone and when I dropped it off. The associate stated that the only type of robe that would cost $20-$30 was a LaPerla robe. My robe is not LaPerla so I am not sure why what they were attempting to charge me the cost for that brand. At this point I do not expect anything from this company for ruining my garment as they keep pointing the finger at me. I do not appreciate being contacted numerous times especially after I told G.P. (owner) to cease communication since they are not taking responsibility for the damage. I am responding to the message from the business because I feel it is inaccurate. I spoke with several dry cleaners here in the valley and they stated that when colored silk is treated by a dry cleaner for water rings/stains it can create color loss. This is what happened to my garment while it was at Z cleaners. A snag in the silk was also created by Z cleaners. I do not accept the response made by the business as it is inaccurate. Also, I no longer want to receive emails or calls from them as they just continue to say I caused the damage. This message serves as a response to the owners message showing it's inaccuracy. read more

This is the first experience I've had with Z Cleaners and it will be my last. I specifically went to this cleaner because I wanted to ensure that my dress was in good hands and assumed the high prices meant quality and dependability, and I was very wrong. I brought in a dress to be cleaned for a special occasion, one in which was out of state, and needed by a specific day and time before my flight. Two hours before my dress was to be ready for pick up I received a phone call saying that they unfortunately put a solution on my dress they were unable to remove. I was told my dress was not only not going to be ready, but that it could be completely ruined. They said they needed to soak it for 24 hours to try to undo the damage. I agreed as I really had no option, and was stuck having to make arrangements to make a quick trip to the mall while I was at my destination for the occasion. This was an additional expense and time I did not have prior to the event. Not only that, the solution didn't work, and my beautiful dress was destroyed. When I arrived back to town I went into the cleaner to pick up my damaged dress and talk to them about the reimbursement for it. They offered me way below 50% of the value of the dress and told me that because due to "depreciation" it wasn't worth more, and continued to tell me that because it wasn't replaceable that it should be worth less, not more. I refused to settle for the insult offer, and was told to wait even longer for a resolution. The owner said that he would need to talk to his "staff" to determine if I deserved more for their error. If I would have been told the dress could have been ruined with a cleaning, I absolutely would have not opted for it. Not only does this place lack in quality, the customer service and disregard for people and their concerns is absurd. If I could rate them zero stars I would. I will hear on Monday as to what they "choose to offer me" and hope that they'll redeem themselves, unfortunately with their track record I feel that it's unlikely. Standby for an update. read more

Even after the associate that gave the price yesterday confirmed that we were incorrectly charged. The owner made reference to how she services the senator and The McCains.... as if that is relevant to the situation today. just like few other reviewers on here, I felt like the price is way too high. $9 for pants, $ 22 for a suite, $ 7 for shirts. My girlfriend went there to drop of some clother last month. What we were told before and after were two different story in pricing. Same bait and switch story. They actually gave me someone else's shirt and lost mine. When I returned that shirt and asked for mine, they said they are looking for it and will get back to me. Seven days and no one called back including owner. because of thier location, I think they get away with this " we are too good for our customers" attitude. No stars for this establishment. I just got a massive dose of sticker shock from their Tempe location. I'm sure the work is good (I have not opened the plastic yet), but the prices sure as heck are not. I used this store as my usual one is having some technical difficulties, and I needed my shirts - I decided to send an old suit in as well, bad idea. Lets see, the suit, $22.00, wow, that's a little over the top, but hey, it's clean now, I can't exactly say no. Here come the regular old laundry shirts, usually $1.75 at most places (I travel, I know), 3 bucks at Z because they take 'really good care' of them. Whats this? 3 shirts needed special care (why, they didn't need it last week?), so they actually cost 6 bucks a pop. Come on folks, that's nuts. And the two I dropped in for dry cleaning? $19 bucks (I usually pay $11). Now we are in plain old rip off territory. So, I expected to pay somewhere between 40 - 50 bucks, but had to pay $96 to rescue my clothes (most of them, one shirt was not ready). And for real fun, it took them nearly a week. I hope for this price, the clothes got brought for daily walks and maybe a movie. Edit 2018: these guys went out of business. No idea why :) read more

I went in for the first time last week to drop off three business shirts and the person working gave me a print out of their prices, it said a little under $5 dollars shirt. I picked them up today only to find they were charging me $40 dollars, for only three business shirts.
