As a long time customer do not use Milo's Alterations. They charged me for 4 alterations and only did 2.

I have taken items here to have altered before the pandemic and was very, very satisfied. I went to take a simple item to get altered a month ago, and was SHOCKED on arrival. The store was not open during posted hours and there were clothes all over the place. The counters were sky high with piles of clothing. I returned the next day and someone was there, she took measurements, and ask me if I needed the item right away. I said no and she told that the item would be ready in 10 days and she would call me when it was ready. Three weeks later, no call, so I decided to stop in to see if it was ready. It was not and told me to come back on Monday. I was there on a Friday. When I went back on Monday she said she had to do a couple of things to finish it and for me to wait, 20 minutes later she brought it out to me. The job was done and the item fits great. When I went to the counter to pay, I could see the back of the sewing room. Clothes piled high from the floor to the ceiling. I don't where there was room for her to work. And, on top of everything she charged me more than she had quoted me a price for in the beginning. I won't be going back here again. read more

The hours posted on the door are different from the one on the voicemail and on Yelp. I had to get a dress redone that she claims was hemmed but I think she just gave it back to me because I needed it that day. Went back to get it redone months ago after she said she already hemmed it. Came in today store was not open on time so I waited 20 minutes. She told me she still didn't do it because she was busy for prom season. Understandable but was rude that I didn't want to come back for a third time. I was trying to get money back for the snap she didn't put in. She claims it's $4 or sometimes nothing. Which I don't think is true but I let it go. dropped off alterations and pre paid. She said it would be ready 8/11. I showed up 8/22 The woman was searching trying to find my order asking me several times what was on my ticket. She then proceeds to tell me she never did the alterations and remembers me, could I come back in an hour or tomorrow? Really !? Totally disorganized and unprofessional, Came Back the following day to pick up my alterations. My jeans were supposed to be altered instead they chose to do a short cut half a$$ tuck and fold do it yourself hack on my pants. Literally tucked over two folds on the back of my jeans and did a straight seam. my five years old could have done the same tik tok hack that your trying to pass off as professional work. I would not recommend. My dress was supposed to be done 7/30, my husband stopped in 8/1 not done, I called multiple times during the week, no answer, left a message, no return call, I stopped in 8/6 dress was not done, she had me come back later that day to pick up as I was getting on a flight to a wedding the next day. Only took $10 off. Also, dress was wrinkled. read more

LOST WEDDING DRESS I brought my flapper style dress in to be shortened & to have darts put in to the bust. I was told to wear heels & hold it up. I hesitated leaving as the owner/seamstress reluctantly said she would do it. After a month went by I went to pick it up. I asked about it. The gal was visibly confused. She keopt trying to give me a white dress. Mine is gold & silver sequins. She asked me to go to the back to look. WHAT A DISORGANIZED MESS!!! STACKS UPON STACKS of clothing on tables, boxes and the floor, some hanging---all without tags of names & numbers. She didn*t have a system of finding items. After 10-15 minutes of looking I found it under a pile of jeans, with a hole & snagged. There were numerous sewing machines & no one working. Ths was 1:30 in the afternon. read more

Milo's does good job. Owner is dealing with person issues, lack of help, and therefore garments are not always ready when promised. Still, I would recommend. read more

Absolutely awful I paid extra rush to have my item ready and it wasn't ready during the pick up time and while I was there there was a bride who had come back for the fourth time for her dress which was not ready. I now have nothing to wear to my event tonight and have to try and get to the store and find an outfit an hour before my event. Unacceptable. Don't come here. read more

I love Express pants. And they have great deals. But I don't know what they sew their hems with, but after a couple washes, I'm walking on the legs of my pants. To Milo's! Right next to Safeway, their window states "Hemmed Slacks While-U-Wait". Never had a hem fall out after hitting up Milo's. Thanks for making my pants new again! read more

I had a dress that needed alterations for a wedding. It had 2 skirts one of netting. It was a simple turn it over and hem it 2 inches. It was poorly executed. I would love to add the photos so you could see the workmanship however I am not about to take more time out of my day for this situation. I understand a photo is worth a lot but don't believe me and you can pay 80.00 for poor workmanship. The lady at the front desk was very very nice. The owner was not. I came in on a late Saturday and had 6 jeans to get hemmed. Maha had me try them on all on separately. She took her time and was patient. 20 minutes later, I'm done. I go to the checkout. She tells me it's going to be $12.00 each. I've been to 3 different alterations places and this is by far the lowest price I have ever gotten. I needed a new pair by Monday as I had lost a lot of weight. I TRIED to offer more money to get ONE pair done more quickly. She didn't take the money. Then, she told me she would have them ALL hemmed by MONDAY. Monday rolls around and my jeans are all done. I've since gotten quite a bit of compliments on how I look in them now. 11/10. We have been going for years to Milo's. Every time we pick something back up, it is done right and for a reasonable cost.

I've never used alterations before but I had a weird situation. I had purchased a straw purse on vacation and when I got home, used it 3 times and it came apart. Since I bought it out of town, I couldn't send it back . On a whim, I took to Milos. Not only did they repair it quickly and unnoticeably, but she only charged $15! I was so impressed, I'm taking some slacks there this week to get them hemmed! read more

They sewed a big patch on my son's karate uniform, same day, and for only $5! And they're both very sweet people.

The sweet lady Milo is wonderful. I have taken many mens pants to be altered - jeans, dress slacks, etc. & all come out perfect. Typically a 1 day turnaround with reasonable prices. Work is redone for free if anything is wrong when returned the next business day. All that is the best you can ask for. read more

Do NOT bring anything valuable to this place. I brought in a suit jacket to have a hole repaired and they stitched it up so poorly that it looked like a huge hairy bug was now attached to the fabric. It was a fine Italian suit, not a rip in a pair of blue jeans, which I made very clear when I first arrived. Their solution included sewing straight through the inside lining of the jacket, creating another hole inside, and when I took a picture and sent it to a master seamstress friend she said it looked "ridiculous". I complained to the owner, and they tried to fix it immediately, even after I said I didn't want them rushing through the work to appease me in the moment. The woman returned to show me that they further frayed the fabric around the hole to sew it up, making it look worse. I complained yet again, and the owner, in his halfway decipherable accent, yelled at me and actually told me that it would have been better to not try to fix it in the first place! He said that if it were his jacket he would have left it alone!! Cool dude, way to inform me of your real professional opinion after you've collected my $35 and butchered a $1000 Ferre suit. I've read that over 25% of yelp reviews are fake. Two of which must be the other 5-star reviews about this establishment. read more

I bought a cocktail dress and needed last minute alterations (needed dress done by the following day). I called Milo's and spoke to Maha. She explained they do same day pant hems and if I wanted to bring my dress in she would see what she could do for me. When I got to the store, she explained what we needed to do to my dress. She was so kind and made sure I was ok with the changes needed, the time it would take and the price. She had my dress done early morning the next day and it looked great and fit perfect! I dropped off a bridesmaid dress to raise a hem and was told that it was normally $55 but he would do for $35 which he put on my claim check. Picked up dress and he said it was $45. I told him he quoted me $35 but he showed me his receipt which had a scribbled out figure then $45. I asked him to look at my part of claim check where it said $35. He acted like he couldn't find it.
