LE truly went above and beyond for me…read more I was referred by Mariee's Bridal in Scottsdale to Suzanne's Sewing to have my wedding dress altered, and unfortunately it turned into a disaster. After my very first appointment, my dress went from fitting perfectly to not fitting at all, and with every subsequent appointment it only got worse. Two weeks before my wedding, I realized I had to take a chance and find someone else. I called Le and she knew even before seeing the dress, she immediately understood what was going on and agreed to see me at the end of her workday. When she finally saw the dress, she was shocked by the condition it was in. It had essentially been slapped together by Suzanne's Sewing. The dress had been stretched out and damaged from being repeatedly taken in and out, and mismatched material had even been added under the arm area and along the sides that looked nothing like the original fabric. LE worked on my dress every single day. During the first week I was in the shop every other day, and the week before the wedding I was there every evening. The night before we left for the wedding, I didn't leave her shop until 3 a.m. Despite the condition the dress was in, LE managed to completely transform it. She made sure it fit me perfectly and that the corrective alterations looked seamless. She even prepared a backup dress for me in case the original dress ripped during the reception because of the previous damage. LE is incredibly skilled and has a remarkable eye for detail. With formal gowns, every adjustment affects the entire structure of the dress. If someone doesn't fully understand how each change impacts the rest of the garment, the results can quickly spiral into bigger problems. LE clearly understands this craft at a very high level. If you are getting married or have a special event, this is absolutely the place you should go for alterations...DO NOT GO TO SUZANNE'S SEWING!

Went here to have some patches sewn on my leather vest. This was one of the only places in the area…read morethat I found that could do the work. It was about two weeks to have them sewn on and while they did ask me if it was ok to sew through the liner, they did sew through the liner and pockets rendering the inner left pocket unusable. I don't really use the pockets except maybe to put my phone in, but I would have thought that they wouldn't have done that. All in all I had 4 patches sewn on for $80. As you can see, one got sewn right through the inside pocket. I would have like to have been asked about that, but hindsight being 20/20, I guess if I need any more sewn, I'll let them know. This business seems to do a lot of alterations for wedding dresses, so I'm guessing not a lot of bikers are hitting them up to sew their cuts. Just be aware if that's something you need.

Conveniently located in my neighborhood, I prefer to support local owners. It's in a beautiful space attached to her home. Parking can be a bit tricky since she's on a busy corner. Vin has some of her work displayed on the mannequins and offers shoes if you forgot yours during the dress fitting. I've brought in difficult items and simple items like hemming of my pant suits. Prices range from $15-$45 depending how much changes you need done. She generally will get items returned to you within 1-2 weeks, or even sooner, depending on how busy she is. Her work is superb and you would never know anything was altered other than it fits perfectly to your body. Style is a deeply personal expression of who you are. Every time you dress, you are asserting a part of yourself. Make sure you dress like you are going somewhere better later.

Before finding Vins, I contacted two separate dry cleaners who were not able to meet my time requests (Friday drop off, Tuesday pickup). I found Vin's alteration through a Google search and I'm so happy I did. The owner was so very sweet, she is very knowledgeable at what she does and extremely skilled. The location is actually a converted house, that Is well-kept and designed, and conveniently located off the 51 and Shea. Regarding the tailoring, I have a small waist and big butt so my jeans have that annoying gap at the waist. When I arrived at Vin's the owner was very friendly and warm. I tried on my jeans in their well-kept dressing room and she took measurements accordingly. My items were ready on time as promised and ready to go for my trip the following day. When I went to try on the jeans at pick up, I was absolutely STUNNED at the quality of the work. I couldn't even tell that there had been modifications made to the jeans , which is a true testament to her skills since she had to takeoff a total of 5 inches. I wish I had a before for the after picture. It was very seamless and looks and fits perfect. This is my first time getting clothing tailored. While the cost was more expensive than I had guessed/expected it to be (Again; first time tailoring so I wasn't quite sure what to expect with cost) it is certainly something that I see myself continuing doing in the future because of how wonderful my jeans fit after the fact. Located in a…read moreshopping center right next to Wingstop, a Japanese omakase restaurant, and an Italian ice spot, there's plenty of free parking. First off, the process they use is simple and efficient. I've never had to wait long in line to drop off my stuff, and they'll shoot you a text when it's ready for pickup. I similarly have never had to wait long to pick up my clothes. I've mostly been to Tatum Cleaners for button-up dress shirts and blazers. And once to clean a rug. The amount of time it takes them to take care of business is reasonable, and the prices are reasonable. I've never ran into any issues. That's the type of experience you look for at a dry cleaners.

I would have loved to have had someone reach out as this was a very bad experience. I would love a way to replace the missing towel, the yellowed towel that wasn't yellow when it went in and the two missing pillow cases. And it was not four comforters. They are still in the bags I have it was two comforters. Two blankets. Along with sheets and towels. If everything would have been returned and not returned so wrinkly I had to rehash nearly everything I would likely not have complained about the sticker shock. But when you pay as much as I did you expect better quality. I knew not getting the estimate first was on me but once I saw the condition and missing items I was upset.
