DECEPTIVE SERVICE CHARGES -- BUYER BEWARE I visited this…read moreestablishment intending only to purchase a replacement belt and lubricating oil for my vintage 1950s sewing machine. I required no instructional assistance whatsoever -- merely the supplies necessary to complete routine maintenance myself. Upon arrival, I was directed to the service department to obtain the correct belt size. I brought my machine along specifically to streamline this process, since the original belt had stretched considerably. A female employee attempted to determine the appropriate size between two options but was unable to reach a conclusion, despite removing my belt for comparison. She subsequently enlisted a male colleague, who tested both sizes directly on my machine -- a task requiring minimal expertise and no specialized training. Only after determining the correct size did this employee inform me that a $25 service charge applied -- a fee neither he nor his colleague had disclosed beforehand. Had I been informed in advance, I would have simply purchased both candidate belts, tested them at home, and returned the incorrect one -- avoiding the charge entirely. While the establishment does post signage indicating a $25 hourly rate (with a $25 minimum) for servicing, I never requested a service; I sought only to purchase merchandise. Compounding matters, the store keeps all sewing machine components locked behind the counter, entirely inaccessible to customers, effectively compelling patrons to rely on staff assistance -- assistance that then incurs an undisclosed fee. I left feeling deceived and taken advantage of by a business practice that appears deliberately structured to manufacture billable interactions. I strongly encourage prospective customers to clarify all potential charges before allowing staff to handle their equipment. Where to report this: Better Business Bureau (BBB) -- bbb.org -- file a complaint against the business; it becomes part of their public record and rating. Arizona Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division -- azag.gov -- handles complaints about deceptive or unfair business practices in Arizona.

I was originally told they would create a free sample shirt for me within two days. Instead, it took over a week. Even with the delay, the sample shirt turned out nice, so I decided to place a bulk order worth over $400. I was told I would receive my shirts within one to three business days, but I ended up waiting eighteen days while dealing with repeated mistakes and miscommunication. During this time, I made multiple trips to the store because the promised timeframe had already passed, and I assumed my order would be ready. Each time, it was not. After all the inconvenience, I expected some form of compensation, whether a refund, a discount, or at least acknowledgment of the delays and the unnecessary back and forth. Instead, I found myself having to repeatedly hound them just to get them to address the issues and attempt to make things right. One of my designs was printed on the wrong shirts, and instead of taking responsibility, they tried to place the blame on me even though my designs were clearly planned and communicated ahead of time. The kids shirt I ordered also had a logo that was not fully pressed, with the edges visibly lifting off the fabric. This entire process has been a headache. If you want your shirts done correctly and within the timeframe you are promised, I strongly recommend going somewhere else.

I had my daughters mini Christmas tree skirts embroidered with their favorite color and names, in a beautiful font...came out amazing and very fairly priced! The store had tons of example quilts, lots of quilt kits, patterns, books, cutting mats, Aurifil thread, and sewing accessories (needles, thread conditioner, pens etc). It was super well organized and thoughtfully designed. Loved how all the Christmas patterns and fabric were together along the back wall. I loved how they used a lot of free patterns available from fabric manufacturers. Most importantly I had great customer service! All the store employees asked me if I needed help and if I was doing ok. As a younger quilting customer (mid 30's) I am frequently completely ignored. So I was pleasantly surprised when I was helped! While I couldn't buy everything I had my eye on I learned they have free shipping through their online store - almost unheard of in the quilting/fabric world. Will definitely buying from this store in the future!
