I was just standing around my first time in with a canvas in hand and stretcher bars that I didn't know how to use. One of the staff came over and said "you look lost, come with me" and took me over to the table to check the size of the canvas and make sure that I got the right bars to fit (I didn't initially). She was very helpful, even taping the canvas and putting it on the new bars for me. I can't wait to come in again! The staff was delightful both times.

The store had tons of example quilts, lots of quilt kits, patterns, books, cutting mats, Aurifil thread, and sewing accessories (needles, thread conditioner, pens etc). It was super well organized and thoughtfully designed. Loved how all the Christmas patterns and fabric were together along the back wall. I loved how they used a lot of free patterns available from fabric manufacturers. Most importantly I had great customer service! All the store employees asked me if I needed help and if I was doing ok. As a younger quilting customer (mid 30's) I am frequently completely ignored. So I was pleasantly surprised when I was helped! While I couldn't buy everything I had my eye on I learned they have free shipping through their online store - almost unheard of in the quilting/fabric world. Will definitely buying from this store in the future!

I thought the additional cost was high and requested she negotiate the price. At that point, Zohreh was "offended" and challenged me about the entire experience. I was actually shocked by her disposition. Never were we rude toward her and even affirmed her work. She then played a game to only speak to the bride about costs! Mind you, I originally gave her a nice tip with payment of original invoiced services. The bride was not paying the bill. I was. We already were at a substantial price for the work without hesitation. Other than that, services were of quality work and timely.

While I had the dress on, she cut inches off the hem, and pinned the sides. It was when I had changed out of my gown that she gave me the quote, which was MORE THAN THE PRICE of the gown! Enter Zoreh, whom I met in her home. She is a lovely AND talented seamstress with great attention to detail. I appreciated that she recommended a second fitting, after she had completed the alterations to the body of the dress and before she did the hemming (since the hem had previously been butchered with scissors!) The finished result was pure perfection and incredibly less expensive. For those that are hesitant about a seamstress working out of her home, you could choose to visit a shop, but keep in mind the inflated cost due to her overhead. I encourage anyone who need formalwear altered to look no further than this talented, attention to detail, kind and professional woman. I drove 75 miles one way and Zohreh will continue to be go to for any future alterations!
