Is Juancho's still around and if so where? I would love to try it.

I have lived across the street from the address listed and have never found it.

First, being Hawaii, decent means not using pasta sauce to replace pico, not using shredded processed cheese, and not using refried beans from a can. Don't think of comparing this to that "authentic ethnic" spot in LA or the over border drunken stint in TJ. All the requisites from tortas, burritos, tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, sopas including pozole and menudo, on offer. Complimentary C&S, just OK. Kinda soggy chips and the watery salsa doesn't much depth despite being fire roasted and not much spice heat. No complaints on the basic rice and refried beans that accompanied the large, stuffed trio of chicken empanadas (usually comes with two, add an additional for $5). Flavorful enough but not that complex mole. They are finished off with some sour cream, raw onions and crumbled cotija. Solid. Fast, friendly service with servers who seem to know their regulars well. Fair pricing with almost everything sub $30. It is what it is. Not bad for Hawaii and works to scratch the Mexican itch.

It was simple, comforting, and absolutely delicious. My son, who's from California and very serious about his Mexican food, said it was the best bean and cheese burrito he's ever had--which is definitely saying something! The portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth, and the spicy sauce has the perfect kick with amazing flavor that takes everything to the next level. If you're craving satisfying, authentic-tasting Mexican food, this place is a must. We'll definitely be back!

The crew inside was welcoming, quick, and the meat was on point. They even came outside to check on us. My son is a picky little dude and started picking onions off his chicken quesadilla. I told him to speak up. The guy smiled, said he had it, and brought out a fresh one with no onions. My son crushed it and even used their mild salsa, which is wild because he thinks everything is spicy. My burrito had great flavor and the asada was legit. I even called home for extra orders so everyone could try it. They loved it too. This spot isn't in our usual area, but I'm glad we found it because it's hard to find solid burritos in Hawaii.

I enjoyed each item though not my favorite, it's hard to find good Mexican or Hispanic foods here on island. The enchiladas were okay, I prefer shredded chicken over diced. I also asked for extra green sauce but the sauce was sparse. I'm glad I got a couple salsas. The refried bean were good but the rice was lacking the color and flavor of traditional Mexican rice. I do have to say it was consistent from this visit from my last. My friend said the fish tacos were huge and good. And then I remembered I actually had them before but they weren't memorable I guess, found the pictures in my phot Lamin from about a year ago. Another friend raved that their nachos are amazing but I didn't try them. Service was pretty quick and the line was easily controlled. Some language barrier, my Spanish for ordering food is minimal at best. It's a street taco spot on the side of the road. You can park at the business parking lot next to it but there is not a lot of real estate. There's a picnic table and couple chairs and tables to sit at in the shade so there isn't really any ambiance to tell you about.

It had a lot of cinnamon, but not worth the expensive experience. The size of the cup was smaller than a 12 oz can of soda. Few sips and it's gone. Definitely not worth the money, Horchata costs $5.00. Soda costs $3.00. If you need to get the soda. I expected it to be the size of a regular drink anywhere. I was very disappointed after he brought it out. I had the steak quesadillas. Comes with side of beans, choice rice underneath, and choice sauce like pico de gallo, and sour cream. Steak tastes good, tortilla was crispy. I liked their pico de gallo. The man at the counter didn't really talk much but he got the food out quick. We beat the rush and watched the line go down waiting for the drink. One man behind the counter. They play music from a playlist via tv on the wall. There is bench seating against the wall and a few small tables. Busy considering parking is really tight, it's a triangle shaped one lane lot across from the city mill.
