I have used Juan Franco Tree Trimming for many years. I have three 100 yr old Oak trees along with a giant pine and two crepe Myrtle's in my yard. This is in addition to a wall of huge Privets. Juan and his team have been trimming them for past 14 years and I have always been extremely happy with the work that has been done. This year he helped me redo all of my landscaping as I had a lot of construction done last year and all the landscaping had to be pulled out. WOW! My yard looks absolutely beautiful. I could not be happier. Juan has a great team working for him! They work so hard and do a fantastic job. They leave my home/yard looking immaculate after a day of work and are always so nice. Juan Franco Tree Trimming is the only company I will continue to use for all of my tree trimming and landscaping needs. read more

Within two years of their service we lost the two ~150 year-old protected trees that they trimmed. Coincidence? You be the judge, but I certainly will not trust them again. 1. One of the trees they had had a large fungus growth on it, Juan point blank said "don't worry about that" and kicked it off the base of the tree. Obviously, I believed him... until ~6 mo later when a landscaper noticed it and next thing the city comes out and declared the tree diseased to the point it had to be removed. So either he was wrong about it being benign or lied about it and took our money to trim it anyway. You decide which is worse. 2. The second tree they trimmed came down in the rain last week, having obviously been left so imbalanced (and it lay on a hill) that it just toppled under its own weight. It's incredibly sad to lose giant beautiful trees like this, and we learned the hard way that taking care of them should not be entrusted to just anyone. read more

Juan Franco's Tree Service is excellent. Juan himself came out and walked with us, talking about what needed to be done. They arrived when they said they would and once they finished, they cleaned everything up. My trees and backyard look great. I can't say enough good things about them! read more

My elderly parents (ages 85 and 80) received an in-person consultation about getting the many trees on their property topped, pruned, and shaped. They were happy with the consultation but were not quoted a price. They were told to await a written job proposal specifying the cost. Nearly two weeks has gone by and Mr. Franco has never followed up in any way, shape or form. My father has left both a text message and multiple, polite phone messages letting Mr. Franco know that he is awaiting the written proposal and next steps. Mr. Franco has totally ignored each and every message. This ghosting behavior by Mr. Franco is a shameful way to do business...and what a waste of everyone's time! Beware... read more

Juan Franco Tree Service is fast and was extremely easy to work with from start to finish. Pros: Very fast response time, professional crew & approach, excellent service, and cleanup afterwards Of the 3 vendors I contacted to perform tree trimming, Juan Franco was by far the fastest response. Not only did he respond quickly after first contact but he was also able to accommodate our smaller job into his schedule faster than originally planned. His crew arrived on-time and was professional the entire time. His crew manager, Jose, was also easy to work with and did a great job. They took care of all trimming, haul away, and clean up in about 3 or 4 hours. Hauling is difficult in our location and the crew made sure to work safely and did not damage property or surrounding areas. Absolutely would recommend this service and plan on using them next year. For service in the Pasadena, Eagle Rock, Highland Park, and surrounding areas this is the place. I wish all my interactions with contractors and services were this easy. read more

Very professional and they do a great job from beginning to end! Very happy customer!

These guys did really good work for us last year. We hired them for my parents trees and JR and his team were really awesome. I just opened a yelp account, so I thought, I would give them their due props. read more

We paid Juan to reseed two lawn areas and trim some trees. When finished the lawn was very spotty with large areas missed. We have tried three or four times to get him to look at the situation to no avail. He keeps promising, but will not respond now. Seems to be a typical, unreliable service, do a mediocre job, get the money and move on to the next job. read more

A few months ago, I reached out to Juan Franco regarding a huge tree problem we were having in the backyard, which needed immediate attention. There was a very large and tall tree that had been there since moving into that house, but it never seemed to be an issue until we realized there was a sticky substance coming out of the tree bark. Eventually, that sticky stuff the tree was producing went all over the patio and damaged it. Luckily, I was referred to Juan through a friend and let me tell you, HE IS THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS! I had heard only great things in the past, but after experiencing the level of professionalism, knowledge, and kindness myself, I confirmed that it was all true. I could not be any happier trusting him with this job, as he left me speechless. He even told me how to fix the damage on the patio that the tree had caused! Him and his team made sure they did a clean job, finished when they said they would, and most important of all, they were all so nice and efficient. Thanks to their amazing service, I will continue to refer them to family and friends. read more

Well I don't know about all these rave reviews because the man keeps cancelling and rescheduling my appointment to get the work done. I liked the estimate he gave me and he seemed to know what he was talking about and gave me some good suggestions for my backyard once he arrived for our estimate appointment. He was about 45 minutes late, but I understand things do come up. I am beginning to think that all these five star ratings are from friends and family. If he does end up doing the work, I'll come back and revise my review... Well I must eat my words, he and his crew came and did a wonderful job on my trees, my yard is looking better and maybe now my grass will get greener since it will finally get some sun. Thank you Juan. read more

Juan and his crew are fabulous. Unfortunately California hasn't had a whole lot of rain the past few years, which has left us with 2 very dead trees. Juan came right out, gave me an estimate I was happy with and we set a day to have the trees removed. The crew worked very well together and had the 2 trees cut, the stumps ground down and everything cleaned up in just under 4 hours. The work they did was great but what I appreciate the most is how nice everyone was. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! 5 Stars, 2 Thumbs Up and I will definitely be calling Juan in the future. read more

Juan Franco Tree Service - Tree Services Near Me

I use yelp all the time, and I typically go to places or use places because of the reviews. I don't usually write reviews myself, but I thought why not start since I'm been receiving great feed-back from fellow yelp users. Juan Franco Tree Landscape Service was very professional and very tech savvy which made me feel a lot of better because instead of me having to do research after the initial walk around we got to discuss it right then and there with actually images and prices. Even though I had only a few trees to clean up and only a few bushes to trim Mr. Franco treated the job like it was a priority and I was still an important customer. I been through a few other companies who once they find out that you're not doing a lot of work they kind of push you to the side like you're a waste of time. Mr. Franco knew my budgeted and didn't exceed my budget and even suggested other ideas what I can to do in the future so the trees and bushes don't get out of hand and only need to get maintenance every 8-12 months. As we talked further, I found out he did maintenance for the lawn and flowers so I know have him coming every month now! Definitely recommend you trying him out or just have him come out for a walk around and see the vibe you get, I'm pretty confident you will be sold. read more

These guys are great. They arrived on time, worked fast and cleaned up thoroughly. Reasonable price also.

If you need anything landscaping related then look no further. We did our homework and asked around to make sure we would get someone who would give us exactly what we wanted and charge us a low fair price. Juan gave us so many great ideas that we actually changed our original design and now we feel like we live in an expensive hotel every time we come home.We couldn't be happier! read more

Juan gave our condo HOA a good price to remove all the trees, shrubs, grass and soils in our complex courtyard. I liked that he kept the price manageable by bidding a tonnage unit price since it was impossible to know ahead of time how much the hauled-off landscape would weigh. He was easy to reach on he phone, and his crew was polite and respectful. I would call him again when it's time to install new landscape. read more

Juan Franco Tree Services never let me down. As much as I love palm trees, they belong on the beach and not in my yard! They can be pesky to deal with and to trim and before Juan we had multiple people come out and decline this job. I had two large trees in front of my house. These trees were growing out of control and blocking my view of Down Town LA. I gathered many quotes to have them cut down. Juan used to be really good but now it is very difficult to get a response from him to set up an appointment. I think it's because last time I did him the favor of paying him without the invoice that he promised to send that evening but didn't send it for days and I had to text him multiple times to get it. It's a rental unit so I needed it to deduct expenses. If you're that arrogant then it doesn't matter how good you are, there are plenty of other services. You should keep your word to your clients. read more

Juan Franco is Awesome!!. Juan the owner is wonderful to work with. He was very passionate about the landscaping surrounding my home. I have used his services for tree trimming, tree removal, backyard design, planting and sprinkler repair. Juan was able to design a sprinkler configuration that would allow the flowers in my walkway flourish. He did it on the 1st try, unlike The Sprinkler Repair Guy who after at least 5 times did not ever get it correct. In fact I have so much trust in Mr. Franco that I recommended him to my Mom. She hired him to remove a giant palm tree from her backyard and as expected Juan and his crew did a wonderful job. The tree and roots are gone and there was no clean up left behind for my Mom to worry about. read more
