Amazing!!! Everything went perfect!! Pastor and his team are excellent. Extremely professional, good with tree knowledge, good with documentation, good with follow up, VERY good with politeness, and just all around smart. The Villatoro Tree Care team spent the entire day at my property and trimmed six large trees, two trees were gigantic. Removed three trees as well. They did a FANTASTIC job. Pastor, the owner, is an arborist and he was here the whole time working with his team. I found that most tree trimming companies only send out an arborist for an extra fee for a 30 minute evaluation. I'm giving such a glowing review because I'm so happy I finally found a pro tree trimming service that I can actually work with. YAY!!!! read more

Everything went extremely well. This company not only is fantastic at tree management and removal, but they are licensed arborists. I was educated on the other plants and trees on my property. In construction you can have only 2 (good, quick & inexpensive). Villatoro gives you all 3. I would never consider any other company. Their knowledge and professionalism makes them the go-to company for anything tree related. Below is just a small sample of their work. They did much more in a small amount of time. read more

Pastor responded immediately to my inquiry and project, removing a 60+ foot, 2.5 foot diameter tree whose roots were compromising the foundation of my nearly 100 year old house. His proposal was thorough, vetted...certified arborist and insured...and fair, in the middle of other quotes. I chose Villatoro because he had expertise as a certified arborist, was organized, and precise about when, what, how of the job. His responsive, respectful, kind, and concise communication was much appreciated and made the project easy and pleasant. He arrived on time with his crew who reflect the helpful and hardworking spirit of Pedro, labored tirelessly and with precision in the scorching heat. During the project he consulted and apprised me of what he was doing and adjusted to my requests and concerns. The roots and stump were then ground down aggressively. He and his crew cleaned up perfectly, and compacted the area so well...it's hard to tell a 50 plus year old tree stood there. As sad as we are to see the tree gone, we're grateful that Villatoro Tree Care did this job. They earn and deserve 5 stars and beyond. Highly recommend is an understatement! read more

I really had a great experience with Pastor Javier and his team. He responded immediately and knowledgeably (on a Sunday!) and came to do the work the following day at a very fair rate. Javier took great care with a tricky tree to make it look much better than I thought possible, and also did a good job protecting other things in my yard from falling debris. They cleaned up very thoroughly. Javier says they do poison oak cleanout which not many teams do, so I will certainly have him back. read more

These guys are quick and efficient! They stopped by to cut down a dead tree and in less than an hour it was done! The price was great, they were responsive, and got the job done. Highly recommend! read more

Fantastic, professional team. Ours was a difficult project due to the location, condition, and extreme height of the trees, with lots of obstacles involved. Villatoro did an excellent job and left everything spotless after the clean-up. All this at a very competitive price. Don't hesitate to book this company -- you won't regret it. We're very grateful. read more

Pastor responded quickly to my project request, and made it out the next day. Kept me updated on timing on his way and got to work even in the LA summer heat. He did a great job trimming my queen palm tree, clearing a dead frond and the flower pod. Gave her a lovely shape! read more

My wife and I highly recommend these guys! From the estimate all the way through to the end, they were great! Javier was awesome to work with and it's nice to see the owner picking up a tool and getting in there too. All the guys were knowledgeable and were very nice too, which makes it easy. Cannot say enough nice things about Javier and his crew. I would hope my contracting crew comes off this good. We had a very overgrown house, many years/decades. The bushes, hedges, and mainly the 100+ foot trees needed some serious work. They handled it great and took care of the neighbors properties too. I didn't have to walk through it all each day, it just got done and done to what I think is the right way. They put plywood where it's necessary to protect things and are careful when limbs drop. You can't even tell that they were here besides the yard, trees, and the property, looking great. It was a multiple day job, each day they all were nice, worked hard, and got it done efficiently. Everything they cut looks natural and not just trimmed without care like our other guys, it seemed very selective and not willy nilly. They all went above and beyond what we expected. They were not the cheapest option, but Javier seemed knowledgable, trustworthy, and like he could handle the job from the get go and estimate. They weren't that far out from the cheap guys either, definitely more, but I am so glad I chose this company vs just the cheapest. Other crews have "botched" it before and I don't think we will do that anymore. We will absolutely use them again and highly recommend them. read more

I am extremely pleased with Villatoro Tree Care. The owner, Pastor, was professional, responsive and easy to work with throughout the project. I hired them to remove 20 plus feet of fully grown timber bamboo between my house and neighbor's, a few small trees, and trim back some big branches of a mature tree. They finished the job in two days without any problems. Their price is very reasonable. They did such a great job that my neighbor even asked for their business card. Highly recommend them. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about Javier and his team - they were all very professional, hardworking, and respectful. They cleaned up very nicely around my property after they removed an 80+ year pine tree and trimmed another pine tree to perfection, as well as the tall hedges in my backyard. It was a big job and they handled it with precision. I really appreciate that Javier returned my call quickly and showed up the same day to give me a great quote unlike other places I called. Javier is very passionate about what he does and I love to support someone who takes pride in his work. He is knowledgeable as an arborist and proved to be trustworthy. I wish I knew these great, hardworking guys before, but I'm glad I took a chance on them because I'll never call anyone else again when I need any kind of tree service. I'll always recommend you guys to anyone I know. Thank you for your help with making my property look great. Very happy with your services. read more

Im writing this for my parents, its their property that was worked on in Pasadena. Javier and team trimmed 11 palm trees and lots of other foliage as well as topped and shaped the shade trees. Javier has a great eye for how trees and shrubbery should look and complement the space. They were a very efficient, large crew, arrived on time and left the property in great condition.Would definitely hire them again. Thank you, Javier read more

Super happy with the service we received from Villatoro Tree Care. We got a same day in person estimate. He was very fair with pricing. And they were able to come do the job the next day. They are very knowledgeable and communication was easy. We'll use them again for sure and will let our neighbors know too! read more

Found Javier (Villatoro Tree Care) on Yelp and they did an amazing job trimming my 3 trees today. I used a different company last year and to my shock they topped off a tree when I asked them to only trim down the height. After speaking to Javier, and hearing about his past experience working for companies like Bartlett Trees, it was clear to me he knows a lot about trees. I also appreciate that they showed up on time, left the yard clean, and it was nice to see Javier working alongside his crew, doing the hard work too. I will never hire a low bid company that will butcher my trees again. I will use Javier and his crew from now on because I know my trees will be cared for. read more

Pastor and his team were super professional and very responsive. He took a tree down located in the front of my home. I was pleased with the work. I definitely recommend! read more

Villatoro Tree Care along with a few other companies responded to my request for a quote. I always want to use a licensed company and Villatoro met that requirement perfectly. Pastor Villatoro was very responsive to my messages through Yelp. We agreed to have him remove my Navel Blood Orange and set up an appointment. Since the tree was planted in a brick planter, a machine could not be used, but it has to be excavated by pick and shovel. I was impressed that the stump was removed in less than half of the quoted estimated time. The area was cleaned up and ready for me to plant a fruit tree that my dog is not allergic to. I highly recommend Villatoro Tree Care for any tree concerns read more

Great work. Would hire again. Did a nice job priming our trees. Fairly priced and hard working

Javier and his team were incredible! I can't stress enough how fantastic of a job they did. Arrived on time, cleaned up thoroughly. They were so thoughtful and artful in the trimming. They didn't just do a chop job like our last company did . They were mindful of keeping privacy and considering the long term health of our specific trees which require special care due to their age. Our condo HOA will never hire anyone else, Javier is our man from now on! read more

I sent out a request for quotes to get my date palm fronds removed. Javier was one of the few that gave me an actual quote based on my pictures. We agreed on a date and time and was there when he said he'd be. He went above and beyond with his work. He was okay with the quoted price he gave me but I gave him extra anyway. Would recommend especially if his prices stay competitive. read more

We had to have our magnolias trimmed and thinned out. Javier responded quickly and came out to give me a quote. He and his crew worked on our ginormous trees, making them look pretty again. Javier is professional and did an amazing job. I would highly recommend him for any tree services. My mom's neighbor used Javier and his crew to trim ALL his trees. He recognized me and I him, asked for a quote for my moms trees (btw, there is no easy way to get to the trees in my moms backyard). He replied immediately with a workable quote and was responsive in confirming the day before. He is a quiet young man, but a great individual. I, again would highly recommend him. read more

They responded quickly and went out of their way to help us out of a jam. Incredible service.

I live in the Chevy Chase Canyon area of Glendale and my property has a lot of trees and growth. I've yet to find a good tree care company to take care of my property. One company trashed my oaks with climbing spikes another company doesn't clean up, or another one doesn't know how to properly prune trees. There seems to be a lot of tree care companies but it's hard to find the good ones. I've tried many over the years. Perhaps a lot guys try to get into the business because the price point for tree care is seemingly expensive. However, once they get the job, they either cut corners or don't know what they're doing because they underestimate what's actually involved to do a good job. All those problems went away after I found Villatoro Tree Care. Pastor was prompt for the appointment for the estimate, prompt for the work date, fair pricing for the job, did the work that was on the estimate and did it well, cleaned up nicely. I wish all of my home maintenance and home improvement experiences went this well. Villatoro Tree Care is that GOOD company you're looking for! read more

I needed some work / annual maintenance done on palm trees, and after discussing the options and agreeing on a price, Pastor was able to come back and take care of it within a few days. I appreciate that he didn't spike the tree in order to get up high enough to do the job. (Wish I had been made aware of this detail in previous years -- with other service providers -- but oh well...) read more

Javier and team were awesome! We had a part of our large oak tree fall on the side of our house. Javier stopped by that same morning and provided a quote and was very detailed in explaining the job since it was in a difficult position where it would fall through the window if not done properly. He also gave me a reasonable quote for trimming all other trees on the property. The process was very open and honest about what he thinks is best for the trees, his costs and team, and what was possible in my budget. We got a couple other quotes and decided to go with Villatoro because Javier took the time to build trust. Him and his team did an amazing job making sure the tree did not fall through our window and cleaned up everything at the end of the job. His whole team was very friendly and respectful of my family and our house. It's also clear that Javier treats them all with a lot of respect which was awesome to see such a caring manager and business owner. I will definitely be calling Javier for all my tree care needs in the future. read more

I contacted Javier at Villatoro Tree Care for a small project in North Hollywood a few days ago. He came right out for an estimate the next day. We agreed on a very reasonable price to cut down some Bird of Paradise stalks that were leaning against a fence causing damage. He came out four days later and cleaned out the area in an expert manner. I have already hired Javier to return to take care of the rest of my tree needs, so needless to say, I am very pleased with his work, his manner, and his professionalism. read more

They responded quickly to a palm tree trim request. Very reasonably priced and did the job to specificity.

Great service, super nice and dependable! Definitely would use him again! Thank you for all your hard work

I have been putting off having my fruit trees pruned for ages, but after seeing Javier's work on Next Door, I finally got around to submitting a request for a quote on Villatoro's website. Javier popped by my house the very same day to have a look and discuss what I wanted (structural pruning and an expert's assessment on what to do about a leaning guava tree). I was able to schedule him the same week and they ended up pruning both fruit trees, cleaned up the yard and everything was done in less than an hour and a half ($275). Javier is a great communicator and easy to reach by phone or text. I appreciated that he took time to answer all my questions and describe what he'd done afterwards. From what I can tell, he has a very gentle and careful approach to tree maintenance (no haphazard haircuts). I am really happy with the results and look forward to hiring them again for future tree care needs. These folks are knowledgeable and take pride in their work. A great crew! read more

Prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. I wanted to just hack our trees back and be done with it, however Javier and his crew knew what our particular trees needed, how they should be maintained for longevity, and gave us the "big picture". Four Brazilian Pepper trees... one halfway down a steep hill... their crew drove all the way from Pasadena to the South Bay and finished in less than a day. Cleanup left the place looking like a gardener had visited. They pruned back exactly what we needed, and artistically retained a pleasing canopy, all for a very reasonable price. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm heading to the back yard to enjoy my view of the park. read more

We had an out of control Grevillea bush that we wanted to shape and build up to a tree. I called Javier late one afternoon, he stopped by at the end of the day and talked about how he could shape and thin out the mess. He was by the first thing the next morning to start in. He cleared out a bunch of dead branches and leaves, thinned out the remaining ones, and left the thicker ones we could shape into the type of trunks we wanted. He did a perfect job and cleared out everything he cut out with his chipper. I couldn't have asked for a better job. He'll be my go-to the next time I need a job done. read more

I messaged javier on yelp for a quote. He came the next day with a price and how long it would take. It was for 6 plants that kinda grew too tall as well as our front lawn. Originally was for 8am but it was the holiday so he came 8:30am and that was fine with me. Around the time his dad and one of their workers came to the house and got started right away. They ended up working for 3 hours and I can say we will call them again if the trees get too tall for some maintenance. They did a great job on the lawn but their specialist truly is tree trimming they shaped our trees so it takes shape from the house or away from the house. read more
