We chatted with Jose on a Saturday, got an immediate quote, and were in their schedule in less than a week. Glad I found One Day Tree Service! We've had a overgrown guava tree, another bush tree, and an old tree stump that kept growing fresh limbs. They quoted my dad a very reasonable price including their senior discount, which cost us $550 in total for cutting two trees and de-rooting them, as well as de-rooting an old stump, and hauling/disposal. Other places quotes $1200 and $750. I sent them the photos and they quickly assessed how much it was going to be. The day we needed their service, they came early.... were very cordial... and fast!!!!! It literally took them 35 minutes from the cutting, de-rooting and disposal. This company is TERRIBLE!! We asked them to trim our trees as it's encroaching onto a neighbor's property and they completely killed out tree line! There are now holes in our tree line and they refuse to even admit they did anything wrong! I wish I could give them negative reviews! They breached our contract and completely lost our trust. We are now pursuing legal actions against these crooks! NEVER use them, they are so terrible! Oscar is the WORST person I've ever had to deal with. The communication and work were great. Very timely... we got a quote yesterday and the work was done today. The crew showed up one time and completed all parts of the job as agreed upon. We paid $2100 for major trim of a large pine tree, shaping of 4 citrus trees/bushes, trimming of 4 cypress and a bit of minor drip system work. My issue is how they managed the 15% coupon we had. Once the work was complete and the final invoice was sent we presented the 15% off coupon and the company refused to honor it. They stated that we had to present it before paying the deposit. Seems a little strange to me, not really sure why it would have made a different if we presented before or after the deposit was paid. As repeat customers seems like honoring the coupon that we had saved just for this job was probably the way to go. read more

One Day Tree Service has serviced two of my homes now (places with vastly different needs tree-wise) and both times they knocked it out of the park. The owner Jose is communicative, kind and on top of it when it comes to scheduling. Scheduling, logistics, and payment have always been super easy. They are professional courteous and respectful of my property and my neighbors. I leave on a hillside and was worried how I can get the pine tree that has been planted by my parents 30 years ago removed since it caused damaged to my back fence. Tree removal and stump removal. I had originally requested service late 2023, went back to my email and found the original quote on business website. I contacted Jose and he was able to find the quote. Jose said the quote was still good and he can schedule the service, I paid the deposit (online), and he emailed me a few minutes later and said he had an opening the next day. I took it and his crew came out at the appointed time and date. Antonio and his crew were quick and moved anything that could be in harms way when removing the tree. They were fairly priced and communicated well during our initial planning phase. During planting, they planted the plants super shallow so many of them ended up dying. We also requested to have the plants wrapped in chicken wire to increase their chances of survival against the gophers. My husband had to fight them on it to replant the ones they had already done. You need to do some supervising to make sure they do what they said they're going to do. 2 years after our project, I contacted them to come out to fix a few things. One Day had to cut back a lot of trees on my property. Once they did, I had to paint replace and paint the fence. I think it was a decade of overgrowth. When I felt they hadn't cut back enough, they were very responsive, came back out to review and then sent their guys back the day after to fix the issue. No complaints. Because of their professionalism, I had them repair my fence. It's a different part tor the company. Less responsive. After a shaky start, these folks did a solid job and I would hire them again. They gave us a two-hour p.m. window to come cut back our overgrown fig tree, but an hour and a half after the window closed they canceled because it was getting dark. This made me a little nervous since we'd already paid half up front. Then there was a mixup about that payment, requiring a few texts. Cut to new appointment, a week later, this time first thing in the morning. They arrived right on time, made sure they knew what we wanted and promptly got to work. They removed all the branches and did a great job cleaning up the patio over which the fig, now domesticated, hangs. It was all over in a couple of hours. I had a 12pm appointment scheduled today. I even confirmed via email this morning to make sure they did not forget since I had taken the day off from work. In the email reply, she changed the appointment from 12pm to 12pm-1pm. I was ok with that since most service appointments provide a time range. It was well past 1pm when nobody had showed up. I emailed and also called and left a voicemail to see if they had cancelled without notifying me. The lady called me back and stated that the workers were running late because they were stuck at a difficult customer's house. She proceeded to tell me that they would be at my house at 2pm. So, it's well past 2pm right now and nobody is here. I don't know whether to cancel the appointment or let them show up whenever they feel. But I am writing this yelp review in the mean time. I wish they had the common courtesy and professionalism to let their customers know what their appt status is because I had a lot of errands to run today and I certainly could have used the time. I am totally understanding of appt delays and cancellations because things happen. However, it is upsetting when the customers are not provided the necessary updates and are forced to wait in wonder of what is going on. UPDATE: it's 3:20pm and I had no choice but to cancel because it was getting to be too late. How disappointing! read more

One word describes this company and that's 'Professional'. I had used them before about 5 years ago to do some tree trimming and was pleased with the results. Unfortunately, I needed to remove two ficus trees that were growing into electric power lines and were too much for me to handle constantly trimming every six months or so. The quote I got from them was very reasonable compared to another company that did a similar job for my parents' place which was outside of their service area. The person who came by to give me an estimate was on time and was able to give me a verbal estimate and then followed up with an emailed official estimate after he got back to the office. Getting a time scheduled for the job was hassle free as well and when a change had to be made, finding another time to get the work done was easy. When time came to do the job, there was a team of about 6 people with two large trucks(one for all the necessary equipment and one for the debris) and a wood chipper in tow. One person was on the chain saw and climbing into the tree and cutting off manageable segments and the team below was clearing the debris and feeding the wood chipper. When they finished, the place was raked clean and all the sawdust was swept away. Fast and efficient! Highly recommended again! read more

I had a lot of work that needed to be done - two trees to be removed, a huge and overgrown Eucalyptus that needed very aggressive work, an extremely tall palm that had hundreds of fronds at the very top, and a lot more. Omar and the work crew were fantastic. They were very friendly, very efficient and they seemed to be enjoying themselves while they worked. Their singing was a bonus treat!
