I recently hired Herencia Landscaping to replace my front walkway, driveway and porch with pavers. I looked at their website--beautiful. I called their number and was immediately greeted by one of the owners, Alejandra. Within an hour, her husband Jonathan was at my house measuring and assessing the scope of the job. A few days later, I was on a Zoom meeting with Alejandra, where she explained their bid and answered all of my questions. For me, price was not the biggest deciding factor in choosing a contractor to do my project. I was looking for a professional written contract, a start and finish date, a high level of customer service and communication, and the reassurance that my time and property would be respected. Herencia Landscaping delivered on all counts. At 7:00 a.m. on a Monday morning, Jonathan's team of workers was already on site with a huge array of equipment. Removal of demolished concrete and delivery of supplies was coordinated expertly. When it was time to lay out the lines of the new walkway, porch and driveway, they made sure to include me in the decision-making details. When a glitch was discovered (the previous homeowners had run some bare electrical wires for the irrigation system under the driveway), Jonathan had an electrician among his crew who quickly solved the problem. Not only did they re-route the electrical wires, they provided me with a nice four-gang electrical outlet to be used for my Christmas lights. These thoughtful details really went above and beyond the written contract. I had confidence in every one of the workers.
