They listened to me. That is rare with tree services. They are neat and efficient. Total pros. Price was comparable with other services but their service adds great value beyond the initial cost. read more

Tony Macias has been sticking his business card in my front door for a long time now. And it finally worked! I have a large podocarpus in desperate need of trimming. Mia came out and looked it over and sent me an estimate the very same day. I had another estimate that was a little less expensive but I felt that Elite would do a better job. The crew showed up as scheduled and were very amiable about making sure the job was done right for me. I will definitely use them again. read more

Tony and his crew are extremely professional and hard working. They provide excellent value for your dollar and clean up very well after they're finished. They are some of the very best arborists in Southern California. read more

Tony and his crew are the best. They may not be the least expensive option but they are well worth the cost in their quality of service, expertise, and efficiency. We have used them twice to trim a giant Chinese elm tree and to clear our hill. Tony and his crew have an amazing respect for the trees and bushes they are working with and leave everything in great shape to grow back properly. They don't just hack the top off your tree, they actually prune it to keep its tree shape. The crew is clean and very friendly and they move fast. In addition, talking to Tony is great because he actually cares about trees and is knowledgeable about all types of trees. They left everything looking beautiful and clean. I can't imagine using anyone else! read more

A true arborist is hard to find. We are so glad a couple of neighbors referred Tony Macias. we're grateful for the professional way he and his team handled the beautiful mature pine tree that continues to have a prominent spot in our yard. The pine forked low to the ground and had essentially large two trunks. One trunk caused the entire tree to lean towards our house. we were really concerned it would have to come down. When Tony Macias came to our home with his trainee, he provided an assessment that reflected his knowledge and experience as an arborist. He was prompt and professional. It was clear that this gentleman had a deep understanding, respect, and reverence for nature. His explanation about the way to manage this big pine was thoughtful and practical and helped us understand his recommendation in layman's terms. Additionally, he gave the botanical rationale for his recommendation. The crew took off the portion of the double trunk that was causing the tree to lean. It was a big job. We had to reschedule due to rain, but his office was responsive and easy to work with. So we set the appointment within a couple of days. His time estimate for completing the work was spot on. The Macias team provided thorough clean-up afterwards. read more

Our beautiful tree that's been with us forever needed a major haircut. The branches were overhanging the roof, causing lots of debris on our heads and vehicles! (Not to mention the constant sweeping to keep a tidy yard). We literally were googling services when one day, Tony's card showed up on our fence. We took this as a sign from God and called him same day. Within a few days, Tony's crew arrived (prompty) and trimmed. He did such a great job we decided to hire him for a second tree haircut. :) Now our tree is trimmed and happy. No more debris and more light into our home! Payment was quick and they were very professional, from the back office ladies to the crew. Super happy with Tony and his crew and would recommend him to anyone!!! THANK YOU TONY! read more

Mr Macias was great, from providing an estimate to fulfilling the tree trimming so we could pass brush clearance inspection. Elite Tree Care is definitely our first choice and I recommend him to family and friends. read more

You can do no better than these guys I've been using them for 20 years 4 every kind of tree from 10 ft to 200 ft LOL. Tony is the man and knows everything there is to know about trees as a certified Arborist the crew is really courteous and quite amazing what they do. He's also an expert at working with City permitting! read more

Had a dead oak tree in my yard that needed to be removed. They showed me how easy it was to obtain a special permit. Support staff is friendly and were always responsive to my questions. Crew arrived a few minutes early. They did the job quickly and left the site cleaner than when they arrived. They were half the price of other companies and I would use them again. Highly recommend them! read more

In the midst of getting our house ready to go on the market, we needed serious yard work and shaping. Tony Macias and Elite Tree Care are not going to be the cheapest option around, but I would be hard pressed to find a crew that was as prompt, efficient, and thorough as these guys are. Our hillside house has a steep sloping yard with lots of succulents, agave, jade, and assorted greenery. They did a great job removing dead or droopy shrubbery, shaping our agave and citrus trees, cutting away dead branches, etc. to make both the front and back yards look clean, healthy, and landscaped. It was a full-day effort with a crew of six or so, and all the crew were pleasant, hard-working, and listened to our concerns and offered suggestions. Tony oversaw the work and found a few minor things that were overlooked and saw to it that everything was addressed and completed, all with an eye toward aesthetics and yard health. And the cleanup at the end was almost as amazing as the work they did all day: not a leaf or cutting was left behind. You can shop around for a less expensive company, but with Elite Tree Care, you WILL get your money's worth. Thanks, Tony, and everyone! We wish we had called you sooner! read more

BAD BUSINESS! Strictly unprofessional and liars. Making appointments and not showing up is one thing, but lying like that is wrong on a different level. Our experience: We need to get a tree trimming estimate. We were rescheduled by their office 3 times. The 4th time, the office rep said someone will come at 10AM. It's already 12:30 and no one shows so we called the office, and the office representative said someone would be there in 30 minutes. Then we get a call from the person who was supposedly going to do the estimate and claimed he knocked on our door at 10:45 and no one answered so he left which was a straight up LIE! My family was in the front yard working on the garden since 9AM. Then the guy says he can't do business with us, which is the first right thing he did. BE CAREFUL read more

Today we had elite tree come to our house to trim our palm trees and we are more than pleased with the work they did. They were very professional, cleaned the mess from all the palm leaves and also cleaned our neighbors yard as some debris went on their side. We recommend Elite Tree care 100%. Thank you Elite for making our palms look clean and beautiful read more

We've used Tony Macias several times over the years and have always had great results. They're very knowledgeable about every kind of tree and the best way to deal with each one (we have several species of trees, each with unique issues). They actually listen to what you want done and will work with you to achieve the desired result as the work progresses. Their workers are like some kind of fearless hybrid monkey-men who know how to climb/navigate the biggest trees AND they always use the proper safety equipment to keep from getting injured. They can also do magic things with ropes to keep any large limbs from falling and causing damage. They clean up all the mess and make sure you're satisfied before they leave. (Special thanks to Jesse and crew for the excellent work they just did on three of our trees!). These guys are experts, they're friendly and easy to work with, and I highly recommend using them. read more

Tony Macias, who is a good arborist, helped me understand which of my trees were healthy, which ones needed major shaping or trims, the rules about California live oaks and their care and how big they need to be to require a permit to trim or remove. His crew was efficient, careful, checked for bird nests and eggs or fledglings. They were very brave when they cut back and cleaned up our cacti garden and back area which was an extreme representation of a yard gone wild. Cacti, Passion Fruit vine, giant Lantana bushes, and an orange tree--all weaving in and out of each other. The cacti garden was very hazardous, especially with the sizes and way they are growing next to each other. There were some cacti needle attacks and their clothing took a beating, but no one was seriously hurt. Everybody was cooperative in listening to my instructions. I wanted plants saved and given troughs, planted in the soil out of pots, moved from the backyard to the front yard. I also had 5 trees trimmed and shaped. What would have taken us 6 months to do, took 3 visits. There was no slacking or dishonesty. I highly recommend Tony Macias Tree Service in Glassel Park. Reasonable and fair prices, have respect for plants and wildlife, cleanup was amazing, and they'll be our "Go to..." service from now on. Photos are n the way. read more

Johnny was the supervisor and was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Eddie was nice too. We had a dead tree and stump removed plus tree trimming of our olive and another. They fertilized our small trees and cleaned up after. They were prompt, efficient and skilled. I would highly recommend them and will be using them in the future. read more

I found this company through City of Glendale website. They were part of a list of companies that went through some kind of training. To me, that was a positive. They came on time and worked throughout the day trimming a couple of big trees. Reasonable prices. Cleaned up properly. read more

Sadly, I cannot comment on their work, as they never began the project. Juan (very friendly) came out to give us a quote and promised to have it to us by the end of day. Several days later, we finally received an email with the estimate. Hubby called to confirm that we got the email and asked one question about the job. Gilbert said he would get the answer to us the next day and we still have not received a response (a week and a half after the quote). Since we never heard back, we opted to have the project done -- quite wonderfully -- by Matilde's Tree Service. Too bad the brothers lack of communication lost them this and any future job from someone who is a very loyal customer when satisfied. read more

I communicated that one of my trees was butchered by a next door neighbor and needed to be trimmed to fix it. They said they could do that by cutting it waaayyyy back and having it grow back in a natural way - and then did not cut it in any way that would allow it to grow back symmetrically - to be continued....I don't want to judge at this point In the meantime, I asked them to cut the OTHER next door neighbor's tree off of a power line but nothing else because I like the tree and have a nice relationship with my other neighbors... They basically cut my nice next door neighbor's tree in half vertically while it was bearing fruit...I had to apologize this afternoon - appalled that their tree which I had enjoyed for 19 years was butchered much like my tree on the other side.... Tony, while your guys said "so sorry, why would I do extra work when I didn't have to?..." as a way of apology - I thought - yeah, but it's so easy not to "think" - and instead to "work stupid" and not give a damn about sensibility or what they might be doing to your next door neighbor. If even one guy had looked at that tree and the environment and thought "hey, I know I've been told "fence line" (which by the way I never said) but I'm just going to take 30 seconds to double check" - then maybe, just maybe you'd have a good review - and a satisfied customer instead of someone who is appalled that after nearly 20 years of solid relationship, she has a broken-hearted next door neighbor and a butchered fruit tree. read more

Bad turn around time. They need a customer service manager to help their small business. Tony doesn't do small jobs, only big tree issues. Had to make several attempts which took 3-4 days to get a response back. Never worked wit Tony but have personally met a few members of his crew at his office. Hence the 2 star. read more

Tony Marcias Tree Experts did an excellent job in removing my very large Pecan tree. I was concerned about the removal process since there were many power/phone lines that ran through the branches. Also, the majority of the tree hung over into me neighbor's yard. Gilbert, one of their tree experts was prompt in giving me a competitive estimate, and assured me that they would do their best to avoid any damages. The removal crew was prompt, efficient, and did a wonderful job cleaning up after. I will definitely be hiring them again in the future, and strongly recommend them to anyone in need of tree services. read more

Their estimate was the lowest of three and in my view maybe a little too low; it took them longer than they had estimated to complete the job. They removed and stump ground six ficus trees and hauled everything away. They were careful not to damage any fences or neighbor's property. I will happily recommend them. read more

Couldn't be happier with the service I received. I had a huge ficus tree against/moving my house that had to come out. Based on Yelp reviews I chose Tony Macias as a contender to supply a bid. He was on time, courteous and very knowledgeable. His bid was lowest and subsequently did the work. The job was done right, they cleaned everything, and removed a second problematic tree. I highly recommend. read more

Great service, very happy with the job. This company came over on a recommendation from a friend and so glad I contacted them.

Absolutely LOVED working with Tony and his entire crew. As an Arborist, Tony is extremely knowledgeable and provides info to navigate any tree questions. They arrived early, worked clean and finished in their prescribed time frame. We had to remove three monsterous pine trees, each towering well over 100 ft and a row of 12 Italian Cypress. Tony's crew also elagantly pruned trees around the property and saved a plum tree from wild over growth. Great experience all around. We will be hiring Tony's crew again very soon and highly recommend him to anyone who appreciates hard and honest work. Tony takes great pride in the quality of work he does and his crew show tremendous respect for your home and property. read more

I had them over to trim some Yucca that were pressing against the power line. Tony came by to give an estimate and was really informative. Jesse and the crew came by a few days and did the work in about an hour, including hauling away the cuttings. For just a bit extra they also cut down a small dead tree nearby and chopped it up for firewood. I would definitely call them again! read more

I spoke with Tony Macias personally today. He was genuinely concerned with the health of my husband's tree. He gave me detailed instructions with explanations backing each one regarding the transplant and and care of the health of our sapling. My neighbor hired them to trim her gigantic tree which was overhanging my yard, so tons of debris came down in my yard. They came over, cleaned it all up and somehow managed to ABSOLUTELY NO damage to my succulents and other plants and garden furniture. I was so impressed, I asked them to take down a bunch of trees in my yard - they gave me an estimate on the spot, and did a crazy amount of work for a VERY reasonable price. I asked for some extra work and they came back the next day for a few hours to finish off for only a nominal extra fee. I recommend them to all my neighbors. read more

A huge tree fell in our yard. By some miracle, it missed the roof, the windows all my potted plants, the fence next door, everything of value in our yard. The crew made a timely appt ( the tree completely blocked our front door), showed up on time, and made short work of the job.....AND put all my potted plants back in their spots. They took all the debris away and swept up all the twigs and branches. I heartily recommend this company for honest, reliable service. read more

Scheduled appt for estimate...he was late. Once he did get there, while a nice guy, he promised a quote that evening...nothing came as promised. The next day, still no quote. Called me end of 2nd day and asked for my email address AGAIN. They sent quote that didn't have a cost estimate. So I called and asked for cost but they wouldn't give it to me over the phone. They promised to send quote within 45 minutes. By the next day, still no quote, so I called again and they STILL didn't have cost figured out. I cut bait and told them not to bother. POORLY RUN business with office staff that couldn't care less about customer service. HIGHLY recommend that you look elsewhere. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL read more

I've used Tony Macias for the last 5 years. He's kept my ficus trimmed and even removed 2 trees for me. By far the best tree service in the Silverlake/Echo Park/EastSide. Tony Macias Tree Experts are awesome! They trimmed 3 of my trees and did a FANTASTIC job! highly recommend them without reservation.

Tony Macia's Tree Experts have handled our trees and hedges for the last two years. Extremely knowledgeable, prompt and courteous. The trees looked great after they were done and they cleaned up the yard. And I felt their prices were extremely reasonable for the quality of their service. These are not "Mow and blow" folks who also do trees so I feel much better entrusting my trees to them. read more

Tony and his crew were very friendly, worked fast at grinding a large stump, and were very thorough in cleaning up afterwards.

Did a pretty good job I must say. Even though it wasn't on our estimate, we had discussed trimming some ficus trees. When I asked him about it, he had his guys do it. Most contractors, etc. would have bitched about it - but he didn't. He just took care of it with no denials or complaints. Tony is highly professional. Our yard is so sunny now. Would definitely use him again. Thanks Tony! read more
