We would highly recommend Acevedo Tree Service!!! They responded to our calls immediately and gave us an appointment for a huge tree removal two days later.... The workers arrived ahead of schedule and were very professional! They worked quickly and thoroughly!!! We had a rock formation around a 50 plus year old huge palm tree that had to be removed as it had died. They moved the huge lava rocks prior to removing the tree and roots and when complete they covered the hole after removing all traces of the roots and they beautifully rearranged the rocks They removed all dust and dirt, swept the area and had it looking absolutely gorgeous without being asked. This review is for customer service only. Got an estimate from the company to get my tree trimmed and decided to move forward with scheduling. We decided on a date, then I sent a text asking what time they would arrive. A few days go by and no reply so I decided to call and spoke to someone who said they are figuring out scheduling and would let me know the day before. Day before service arrives, no communication. I send a text that night asking for an update and wake up on the day of service with no reply. I call twice on the day of service at difference times and no answer. Surprised with the lack of communication considering all the positive reviews, but this is terrible customer service. read more

A big tree on our property line lost it--huge limb just broke (due to termite damage, it turns out) on Tuesday early a.m.. New neighbors are scheduled to move in on Saturday. Limb completely blocked their driveway. Called three tree services for quotes. Gerardo came in with the best quote, and said he could get the job done before moving vans arrived. Highly recommend! Gerardo was on time and did everything we agreed on AND for a great price. Its a family business and the workers were all very nice. They trimmed 3 palm trees for us and did it quickly and efficiently. There was a family of raccoons living in one of the palm trees and they were careful not to harm them (while destroying their home of course - they'll find a new one I'm sure). They also removed 6 trees that were dead in our backyard and cut the wood up so we can burn it in our fire pit. They took all of the trash away and left the yard clean. We hired them to cut down a massive tree trunk. They gave us a quote and we accepted. They promised to cut down the trunk, dig it out, remove the top roots and level the ground. Only the tree was removed but everything promised was not down. they left it a complete disaster. Most of the roots are showing and when we addressed it the boss changed the whole thing. He stated they can not remove all roots. Then when we asked why they were tapping down all the excessive mulch instead of picking it up, they became upset and disrespectful. In the end the service was absolutely awful. I do not recommend them. My front lawn was destroyed and the mess they left behind will cost me more than the tree removal. read more

We had a GIANT dead tree in our yard. It was leaning toward the house and we called Gerardo. He came out the next morning and the base of the trunk was so soft, he was able to put his hand into it. He got the crew to come back that afternoon and cut back the tree ASAP so that it would be safe and not fall onto the house. It was a massive job - the tree was overgrown with vines and contained a rotting tree house and monkey bars, but they were able to complete the job in 2 afternoons, including removing the stump. Worked very quickly and did a thorough job cleaning up the HUGE mess, but broke some plants/vegetation in the process, one of our yard light fixtures was reinstalled very loosely after they uninstalled it, and I feel that they over-trimmed the palm fronds but hoping it'll fill out again quickly. After replacing the broken piece, another leak was found. They fixed that as well. As I was expecting them to charge me extra, to my surprise they did not. Its large branches were pressing against the buildings, and it was dropping tons of leaves that clogged up the roof drains and got into the A/C unit. Don't bother asking for an estimate from this company. I had an appointment with Gerardo for a specific time, but he showed up an hour early, and gave only a 10-min advance notice. Then when onsite, he did not say much, not explaining what he plans to do, and just gave a quote for the job.
