We needed a 40-50' Chinese elm trimmed away from encroaching our roof and neighbors. As any homeowner knows in LA, tree trimmers are extremely expensive. These guys were quick, got it done, quickly removed all limbs into the chipper and blew off my yard with expertise. I highly recommend. Their name Affordable Tree Care holds true. They are very competitive, I have a couple trimmers come down prior to hiring them. I went with these guys. There are so many tree trimmers in LA, that come down free to quote, yet when they send out the crew, the Supervisor upsells. Pleasant crew, easy phone or text back & forth, on time, no surprises. You are not left 'hanging' with additional questions. All in all, a very pleasant 5 star experience! The Elm was done with expert care without damaging it. read more

Then I met Affordable Tree people and they were $850 for the exact same job They were very communicative and prompt in arrival- finished earlier than expected and the job was perfect Highly recommend these guys- plus they are licensed and insured read more

I contacted Carlos through yelp on the quote request. I uploaded pictures just to remove a stump with measurements. He responded so quick like within 10min. He gave me a very reasonable price to dig up the tree stump and offered to haul it away. He showed up the next day and dug it up within 30min. I would highly recommend. read more

My heart was broken to see my tree infected with Ganoderma sessile, which means having "shiny or lustrous skin"; sessile means "sessile" referring to the absence of a stem. After speaking with the city, and two ISA certified arborists, the tree was fully withered and already in decay, it needs to be removed before it becomes too dry and brittle to remove and a danger to the surrounding properties. This tree swallowed several objects over the last 90+ years, including bricks and a metal pole. Three quotations were obtained, and all three service providers pointed out the obstruction and challenges there are. The owner Carlos and I signed the contract when he visited the tree, he looks young but from our conversation after discussing it with ISA certified arborist, I can tell he's a pro. As a matter of fact, he's up on the tree doing the actual work. First of all, tree removal can be done in at least three ways. 1. Tree and root removal 2. Tree and stump grind 3. Tree, no stump grind Some people suggest root removal of trees is necessary, however first option isn't practical to quote for a tree this close to the residential house where the roots are at least 5-10 feet under. In the commercial space, removing tree and it's roots will likely be done when the foundation of the property will be built from the ground up. The second option is to perform a stump grind inches into the ground after removing the final trunk. This is a very messy, time-consuming job for the crew but well worth doing. My place was storming and snowing with wood chips, and the team did an excellent clean up. The third option, the job is complete when the tree is cut above ground level, let it be a table that will further decay in it's place. To be honest, real estate space is too scarce to leave the stump there indefinitely and see it decay. Carlos work is an art. The pre-planning for each cut has to be perfectly executed, or else the trunk would end up on the roof of my house. There's a lot of physics involved in cutting the upper trunk, each section to be removed is roped the lower trunk, and the trunk swings like a pendulum until it is in rest position before the rope drops lower toward the ground. I really appreciate Carlos and his team doing the work in such a professional manner. Thank you! read more

I requested sheet/ lasagna mulching for my front yard to eliminate weeds, topping and shaping of 4 Italian Cypress trees and trimming of 3 other bushes. Carlos gave me a reasonable quote. Carlos and his team are honest, hardworking, and communicative. They did a great job removing two very large trees on the property and grounded down the roots. It took about one and a half days to complete. During the removal process, a piece of one tree accidentally hit the side of the garage and made a hole in the stucco wall but Carlos offered to came back the same week to repair it which I appreciated. They also provided the most affordable price compared to other quotes I received. I would definitely reach out to them again and recommend them for any tree services. read more

Affordable Tree Service - Tree Services Near Me

Affordable Tree Service is a reliable and reasonably priced tree and yard service company. They're a small business located locally In Montebello. My husband and I submitted a service request with them (via the Yelp app) to cut and trim eight 40 ft tall cypress trees. The owner (Carlos) responded within the hour and he promptly answered all of our questions. He helped set up our service appointment within two days of our request. Carlos and two of his helpers showed up at our house on time. Carlos was able to efficiently cut and trim the massive cypress trees in about four hours. Then he and his helpers loaded all the cuttings promptly in their truck and they cleaned up everything when they were finished. Since Carlos and his crew did such a great job on the cypress trees, we asked them if they would trim the rest of the trees on our property afterwards. They willingly agreed to help us for a little extra money and a lunch bonus. If you're looking for an experienced and trustworthy tree and yard service company, I would highly recommend Affordable Tree Service. You won't be disappointed. Thank you very much, Carlos and crew, for doing an excellent job! read more

During the crazy wind storm we had a tree in the front of my house fall down almost hitting my house and the house next door. Carlos came out same day and gave me a super reasonable quote and said he could do the job in a couple days but he was nice enough to clear any branches up on the spot to make sure there wouldn't be any damage. Today they arrived on time (actually early) and got the tree out of there in no time and made sure to avoid cutting the sprinklers as well. He also left mine and my neighbors yard super nice a clean I would definitely use him again for tree service! Great price great work and super friendly! Couldn't be happier. read more

These guys are great! We have a large Camphor tree in our backyard that was imbalanced because of the neighbor's cuts. Also, limbs were hanging over the garage, which made our insurance company threaten to drop us. Luis sent his team of Hugo, Daniel and Pedro, and my wife said they were terrific. They removed all the dead wood, and trimmed everything she asked them to. We highly recommend Affordable Tree Service. read more

Carlos and his team came out to my property on a rush call to trim some very hard to reach giant birds of paradise that were starting to fall down. They cut them really well while not damaging the 100 year old cactus that was in the middle - it's very important to me to hire landscapers who don't cause damage to the rest of the plants!! They did an immaculate clean up afterwards as well. 100% will only be hiring them from now on - they're a team you can trust to give you a fair quote and go above and beyond on the job! read more

REALLY REALLY GOOD PRICE. Fast guys and left zero mess. I would have wanted them to leave the trees looking a little more identical in shape since I'm a very detailed person but I did take in mind they came when it was raining. They were 20 mins late to the appt but again, it was raining & they texted me beforehand to lmk. I appreciate the consideration and the hard work! They've earned themselves a new client. read more

I had a nice experience as I always do working with Yelp. It's where I go when I need some help with something. I think everyone that notified me, I replied too. It's the right thing to do as they are trying hard to make a living. I did hire one of the Landscapers to prune my fruit trees in my back yard. I hired New Life Landscape, Jose. I wanted to hire Johnny at Valley Tree Service, but there was confusion with this company. I worked with John for 2-3 days, and when I decided to hire him, I could not get a hold of him, and i was not hearing from him. I texted him, and tried calling, but his phone was full, and not accepting calls. So I did a review on this, and upset Johnny, it was not a nice review, as he was telling me he was on a job, and had no cell service where he was at. I've accepted this explanation, and can see how this could happen so I edited my review, and gave him a nice review. Johnny is a super nice person, and would do a great job for anyone. I do not want to harm any of these people or their companies. All the companies you sent my way, I pretty much interviewed them for the job. And they were all very nice. Jose was above reproach. So polite, and trying hard to build his company. He has a family, and needs the money. So I think he will do a great job for me and my husband. I will get back on yelp and give a review once the job is completed. A lot of these guys do not want to give a handwritten or typed estimate. A client most definitely needs this. I am retired R/E, so a contract between two people is very important. Thank you Yelp for all your help. Bobbie read more
