I received a prompt response from Oscar within minutes of putting out a request to several companies for an estimate. Within a day, he came to the site and gave me an estimate. The price was higher than two other services I checked but Poly Timber offered more small extra things and gave me good info on what to look for in my bids. I appreciate that they have workers comp and liability coverage as well as a good reputation as a licensed company. They did give me a price break for finding them thru Yelp so whole still higher, I felt very good about our agreement. The last time Ricky and his crew came out to trim all the trees in my backyard was back in 2021. It has been three years since then and the trees had over grown. Early spring of 2024 I had it on my calendar to reach out to Ricky to come, give me an estimate, and do the job. Due to my hectic schedule, I kept pushing the reminder on my calendar, back. I was very happy that Ricky reached out to me to see how I was doing and if I would like for him to come out and give me an estimate. When he came over to give me an estimate, he remembered my mother and the ministry work she is actively doing in Japan. I was so touched that he remembered personal things about his clients, especially since I have not seen him since 2021. He went over the trees in my backyard, telling me what he was going to do and the type of cut for each tree; not all trims were going to be the same. There were a couple trees he noted that did not need to be trimmed at this time, which I appreciated his honesty. Also, my neighbor's big Ficus tree was touching my roof as well as theirs. My neighbor shared that they did not want the whole tree trimmed but only cut away the branches touching the roofs. He and his crew did an amazing job cutting the large branches away from the roofs without making the tree look butchered or misshaped. He was able to provide me an estimate that fit my budget as well as my neighbor's. Per Ricky's request, I informed my neighbors in advance so they were aware that the workers needed access to their backyard to clean up any debris that fell into their yard. On the day that the tree service company came out to do the work, Ricky met with me and went over, one more time, what we had discussed at our initial meeting. He then went over instructions for each tree, with his workers, and then they went straight to work. He had to go and make a couple estimate visits but always came back to check on the work. After the work was done, he went over everything that was done, with me. He checked all my neighbors backyards to make sure that whatever branches and/or leaves fell onto their property, was immediately picked up and hauled away. Just like before, they did an amazing job pruning, trimming, clearing, cleaning, and hauling everything. If you are looking for a verified, licensed, bonded, insured, and honest tree service company, look no further, Ricky and his company are the ones to go with. Reached out for a quote to top and prune our avocado tree and remove another tree. Ricky was very responsive and came out for an estimate, and was very knowledgeable about what would be best for our avocado tree.
