After a life changing Mental Health emergency/traumatic event, at home the weekend before, my boys and I, along with a girlfriend of mine, came by for a show on Saturday 3/12. It was nice to get out of the house and do something different to keep our minds off of real life. I am SO glad we came here. My 23-year-old got tickets from work, so there was no excuse not to go! There is a two-drink minimum, and they are a little pricey, however, totally worth it! You pay for the drinks upon entrance to the business and are given tokens for the second round. Although they state that the entrance is denied after the show starts, I was super grateful that they let my friend in once she arrived. We all had a blast, it felt so good to really laugh! My 21-year-old son is really into magic, so he was shocked to hear that a comic magician was on tap for the evening, he was absolutely thrilled! All of the comics were amazing, it was such a fun night. We caught the 7 PM show and sincerely enjoyed every second of it. First time I went here I got taken on a second date and let me just say it was so magical that now I've been with him almost 2 years! So definitely go to JPs Comedy Club with someone you're trying to lock down ;) All jokes aside this place is really awesome. Local mom and pop literally ran by a husband and wife and their son. My bf and I have been in at least 5 times now (we need to go more). The comedians are always great, great pricing, the owners are so friendly and we just love supporting them. There is a two drink minimum but you don't have to buy alcohol, so for all the sober peeps don't worry. It's in a little strip mall type thing you may be skeptical at first-They make jokes about it but it's a hidden gem. Please please give it a shot you won't be disappointed!! read more

JP's is a great venue for local and National comedy. Excellent improv and small enough audience you feel right up there with the comedians. There is not a bad seat in the house and be prepared .... It's good to see the East Valley have its own comedy spot! This place is a small but intimate venue located in Gilbert. I like it because you can get up close to the comedians. Local comedian Jim Perry is the brains behind this place and is passionate about brining good comedy to the Valley. He's made a name for himself the past few years with his Cop Comic gig. They have a calendar on their Facebook and IG accounts that showcases their upcoming shows. Tickets can be purchase ahead on the website and are pretty affordable. There is a two drink minimum and seating is open. So get there early! In addition to nightly shows, JP's is also a working comedy school and teaches comedy classes. Many of the up and coming comedians will open for some of the main acts to showcase their talent. There are some pretty funny guys out there. JP's makes for a fun date night or just an evening out for some good laughs. If you love comedy, affordable prices and an intimate setting, come check this place out! read more

My wife and I had a great time at JP's comedy club, They had about five new comedians along with the headliner. It's a small venue so every seat is a good seat. You have to buy two of something along with your tickets that we bought online ahead of time. They have basically beer and wine for alcohol, but the price for the ticket was affordable and it was a fun night out. I recommended. read more

I was not expecting much since I didn't recognize the comedians but I was surprised how much I enjoyed all of them. When you enter you go straight to the "bar" area to place your two drink minimum. It is all bottled items, nothing on tap and no mixed drinks. They give you one drink at the time of order and a token/chip to use later. The hostess makes her way around a couple times during the show to check on you. There's no food options other than bags of chips or pretzels. For the price of the tickets and the amount of times I laughed during the show, I feel this is a great value for a night out. Everything ran smoothly from the wait in line, order drinks and being seated. I will definitely go again! read more

It was our first time at the comedy club and we brought our visiting company. We got free tickets for all 5 of us which sounded great. But I didn't read further down the email that there's a minimum 2 drink purchase per person. So that's basically why you get the free tickets. However, we didn't realize there would be 4 opening acts and then the headliner. All the comedians were excellent especially the headliner, Pete George. The place: JP's Comedy Club is an amazing and hidden gem of a venue tucked away in a strip mall. 1/3 of the seats are set up as a table for two while the rest of the seats are comfortable benches with seat backs. The experience: the comedians are a mix of local and national headliners. We've never been disappointed in our multiple visits and more often we are laughing our ashes off. That said, it's a comedy club so you're bound to hear some stuff that doesn't vibe with you but for the most part this adult oriented comedy club entertained me and my bestie for hours. The best part about comedy is that if you don't like comedian one, there's another one coming right up afterwards. There are ample ways to get free tickets to JP's which is awesome. There is a two item minimum which is also no problem since the tickets are free. Thursday evenings is open mic night so if you think you have what it takes, give it a shot. Trust me, you don't have what it takes. The bottom line: support this locally owned comedy club. They are putting out excellent shows and treating their customers very well. An unexpectedly great experience. It's small and quirky, but the comedians were great! All different levels, all brought their A game. Running this place is a family affair and a well done one at that. The food/drink items they have are fairly simple which some people love and others may find frustrating. Went to the club to see Tom Clark perform. Fantastic show. All of the comedians were funny and the atmosphere is intimate. 2 drink minimum and good selection. All the comedians were hilarious as was JP. I really enjoyed the show but what ruined the experience was his wife, who was the "hostess". I had gone with my husband to meet some friends. My husband got in line to order our drinks and I went over to our friends to talk to them. Well, JP's wife comes over to me about buying drinks. I pointed at my husband to let her know he was in my line getting my drinks. I guess she didn't believe me as she walked over to him to ask him! Unbelievable! All throughout the night she walked around like she was having a bad day. I told my friend and he said she must be having a bad day. I told him the customers should not have to suffer for her misery! After the show they offered everyone free tickets to come back. I left our tickets on the table. It's a shame as I really did love the comedy but there are a lot of comedy clubs that provide great service so why would I go back here? read more
