I was in need of someone to reassemble my bathroom after a minor mold problem came up. This job included replacing 10 sqft of subflooring, replacing a toilet flange, replacing 10 sqft of laminate flooring, putting the toilet back, and replacing the baseboards in the bathroom. In addition, some drywall in the ceiling below the toilet also needed to be patched and painted. I was overwhelmed with doing this project myself, mostly because I didn't want to mess up the floor and have the toilet rock back and forth. I reached out to JPH and I'm so glad I did. Everyone showed up in masks, were professional, and did a fantastic and fast job. They got this small project done in a day, and the price was extremely reasonable, especially given the quality of the work done. After this experience, I also reached out to JPH for a second project. Last week, they installed a whole home soft water softening system I bought from Home Depot. This job was also done in a day, and I'm very happy with the job. There was a small leak at one of the connections, but they came promptly to come patch that up. UPDATE: I was in need of a bathroom gut/remodel, however I wanted this to be a very "budget friendly" job. I also had some water damage due to a very small leak which took it's toll over the years. After a couple of estimates from other contractors and other "handymen" looking over the issue, JPH General Contractor was the contractor I decided on once again. Juan, Manny, and Gabriel were fantastic to work with. There was also a fourth guy who did the initial demo who was great too, but I never got his name. The job site was left clean and the job was finished on time and on budget. They were always on time and very respectful. Not to mention they were very helpful with my mistakes, such as the improper baseboard selection that I made, and my own measurements of my shower stall. This was the second time that I used JPH and both jobs turned out very well, and I was never left with the feeling that I had been taken advantage of. Juan (the owner) was always very responsive to my concerns as well. On my first review from three years ago, I knocked a star off for some plaster transfer onto a wall, which looking back was not a big deal at all, and I'm sorry I didn't give a five star review even back then, as this company is truly awesome. If you're the type of person who takes the time to obtain estimates, that come along with the typical "padding" of the costs, I think you'll be pleased with this company, as they don't do that. If you're looking for a great general contractor with fair prices look no further. Juan, Manny and the rest of their team of 8 or 9 did an amazing job on our house in Clairemont. The house was built in the late 60s and in desperate need of a full remodel from top to bottom. Came across JPH on yelp and after meeting with a number of contractors we had a good feeling about Juan. He is a can-do easy going kind of guy and whatever we wanted to do he made it seem like it was no problem at all. They started the project before the start date and finished it before the estimated completion date. His guys were there working Mon-Fri from morning to evening. We did a full kitchen gut and remodel with some wall removal, new floors, interior and exterior paint with lots of patch work and drywall, popcorn ceiling removal, can lighting, full 2 bathroom gut and complete remodel, electrical and plumbing work, the list keeps going. This was all done in just under 5 weeks! Juan was very knowledgeable, communicative and funny through the whole experience. He was always a phone call or text away for any questions or concerns. All I can say is WOW! Juan and his crew made our decor dreams come true. We met Juan while he was doing some work to the rental we were staying in and hired him to do some upgrades to our new home. We met with Juan and his project manager Manny and I gave them an overview of what we were thinking to do including a wood wall in a chevron pattern in our living room and a shiplap wall in our master. The material we showed Juan for the wall wasn't what we needed so my husband and I went back to the drawing board and we were about to give up on our dream until Juan came over with the right material in the color we wanted and completely wowed us! It was everything we wanted and more. JPH also did our floor in our master. We wanted to continue the tile from our bathroom over to the master, when the team started to lay it they notice the color was different than the original flooring (more gray tones), he immediately stopped the project and called me and text us pictures so we could see it and asked if we wanted to come over to look at it before they laid the rest down. I was very happy that they did this. They definitely cared about our satisfaction and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the overall product. Juan also knew we were short on time and got his crew immediately on the project and said his main priority was to get the house done for us before our move to make the move a smooth transition. Juan and his team did a great job with updating an original kitchen in a house built in 1955. They updated the electrical and put in recessed lights. They replaced the cast iron pipes. They installed tile flooring. They installed the appliances. They installed quartz countertops. Best of all, they were not constrained by the current supply crisis. We wanted to have our bathroom remodeled to get ready to sell it. It's a small bathroom (812 sq ft condo) but would need a full gut. After having 2 other contractors never follow through with sending their estimates I was beginning to feel our bathroom was too small of a job for someone to take on. My friend told me about Juan, I called and set up an appointment and he came out the next day. He emailed me an estimate with varying options, within a week, with an apology for the delay in getting it to me. We decided to wait until after the holidays to begin the work as we would need to be in a hotel (it's our only bathroom.) In the meantime the bathtub had a crack in it, and after the kids had a bath it began leaking into our living room downstairs. I called Juan the next day in a panic, he came by, assessed the damage (thankfully the water was absorbed) and we scheduled to get bathroom started that week. He showed up right on time (even a bit early) the day of demo and said all work would be done in a week (Thursday to Thursday). I appreciated he had all the equipment to dry out the bathroom and thankfully there were no mold issues. I purchased all the items at Lowes (vanity, bath tub, toilet, flooring, and lighting) and he picked it all up, which was awesome! There were a couple of times I had to stop by the house to get clothes and each time I found his crew busy working (thank you Angel and the other Juan), even my neighbor commented how they were constantly working. The work was completed on time as promised. I was impressed with how beautiful our bathroom looked and that there were no issues. He stayed true to the estimate he gave me which I also appreciated.
