We had the fence installed about six years ago. Within just a few weeks, the gate stopped closing properly. I contacted Edwin and asked him to come out and fix it, but I had to contact him many times before he finally came. Unfortunately, the same problem happened again a few months later. Once again, I had to repeatedly ask him to come out and fix it. Then, a few months later, the gate stopped closing properly again. This has happened over and over for the past several years. At this point, I am emotionally exhausted from having to deal with this situation. Every time there is a problem, I have to contact him repeatedly--sometimes 10 times or more--before he will come out to address it. Now, he is completely ignoring my calls and text messages. I don't want to keep chasing him anymore. He installed both sides of the gate, but the locks were not installed identically or properly, which I believe is part of the problem. He originally promised that the gate would be covered by a lifetime warranty. Based on my experience, however, he has repeatedly failed to honor that promise. This entire experience has been extremely stressful and emotionally draining. I don't think he realizes how much stress he has caused us by repeatedly promising to fix the problem and then failing to follow through. I would not recommend this contractor to anyone who wants reliable service or someone who stands behind their work. read more

Based on my recent experience, I highly recommend Edwin and his Apache Fence team due to: * Lowest provided estimate * High quality work * Professionals who work hard and leave a clean worksite when finished I initially hired Apache Fence Company in January 2023 during the endless atmospheric river rain storms to replace a leaning, dilapidated wood fence section left by the previous homeowner for several years, which had become a safety hazard. The initial fence company came out for a free estimate and refused to do the work due to perceived hill slope issues and suggested I get an engineer to resolve the "problem" first. The second company had no issue with the hill slope but provided an estimate almost double my eventual cost. Edwin provided the lowest free estimate to install 80 ft of galvanized chain-link fence w/a pressure treated wood retaining wall. They completed the work in a short-period of time and my neighbor was extremely satisfied with the finished product, as was I. Based on my previous experience, I rehired Edwin's team again after the recent January 2024 San Diego historic rain flooding to install an additional 165 ft of wooden pressured-treated retaining wall to a different fence section to prevent further hill erosion and excessive rain flood runoff into a different neighbor's yard. Once again, Apache Fence Company executed effectively starting @ 7am for 3 1/2 days and my other neighbor was extremely satisfied with the finished product. Work involved taking down my old fences and breaking some existing concrete. Theses guys are pro for handling all conditions and always ask for our preference when there were options such as door designs. If I have to point out some improvements, they could have kept the dirts in baskets rather than my yard. They did try to clean them but there were difficult to remove them once mixed with wood chips. Called and Scheduled for a consultation for a new fence. Gentleman over the phone was able to schedule a consultation in 2 days. Took time off work to be available for this consultation, 15 minutes passed our schedule time, called the main number, and he somehow thought it was for the following day. Not sure how he can tell me he is available on a specific date and time, only to think he schedule it for the next day. Unacceptable. I arranged my busy work schedule to be available for this appointment only to be forgotten. I'm happy to take my busy else where. I have used this company twice now to replace the fencing on both sides of my property. They do an excellent job with the install and I am very happy with the finished product. They are also an excellent value and beat out two other quotes I received. I also appreciate that they billed/contacted my neighbor directly and I did not have to play middle man. I do not like giving bad reviews. This is mostly a message to the business owner. I called you guys to get an estimate. LI said over the phone that I do not currently live at the property, so we'd have to meet there. Got a scheduled time to meet at the property. Fast forward to the consultation date. I arrived at the property a few min early. Waited about 15 min (10 min into our meeting time) and decided to give a call since no one showed up yet. Called, no answer. Called again, no answer. Waited a few min, then called again, no answer. I then received a text saying "running late I can come tomorrow." Some people have things come up, so I asked how long it would take to make today happen, and he took a while to respond again by text "I can be there by 3". Nothing like "I apologize for the inconvenience" or even a call to say he'd be late. No, I had to call multiple times with no answer in order for him to tell me he was going to have to reschedule when we were already supposed to meet 15 min ahead of time. Sorry, but with how unapologetic you were about completely missing our appointment time, and how careless you were with addressing it, I'd rather not give you my business. Well I called twice over a 2 week period and left my name and phone number since there was no answer. THEY NEVER RETURNED MY CALLS. The company seems more interested in bragging on their voicemail greeting that they were supposedly voted San Diego's #1 fence installer. I find it hard to believe that's true if they can't conduct basic business practices. It's bad enough you can't book an appointment with them on Yelp.
