As corny as it sounds, Matt is a fence artist. He took into account our budget, and gave us a beautiful workable solution. Not only is the fence beautiful, it is going to last for years. Matt was prompt, easy to work with, finished quickly and provided an excellent finished product. I can't say enough. read more

Fast, efficient and competitive pricing. Workmanship was great. Quality service for a fair price. Would hire again.

Needed a fence but it's so difficult finding a good company that does legitimate, high quality, long lasting work. Came across Hunter Fence and spoke with the owner. He came out immediately, assessed the situation, provided a very reasonable quote and now I have the nicest fence on the block. His attention to detail and methodical precision is unmatched. Was so satisfied with the work he did on this property that I've contracted my other properties as well. Thanks, Matt! read more

I recently had the distinct pleasure of working directly with Matt on a project recently in San Carlos. I interviewed multiple people and found him to have a lot of integrity. Great person to speak with. He was direct. He had a way about describing his work in such a way that it was very detailed and someone who actually talks in detail about a project the way that Matt did tells me that he has a lot of passion And expertise in the field. Not to mention I had called a number of people to come out to give me bins and also look at the prior fence that I did have the wood fence. I didn't have to wait long picked up the phone right away. Was happy to come out and take a look at my project Hands-down I'm very very happy that I chose to go with matt. read more

Matt came by to give a quote on vinyl and aluminum. We had to call Matt for quote. Quotes seemed high for aluminum. After requesting a breakdown of the labor and material costs we never heard back. Obviously, Matt did not want the job. All he had to do was say I do not want the job. Disappointed in overall response. read more

This is an honest and quality company! Having worked with them on several occasions I can recommend them highly. When I put in a chain link gate Matt answered many of my questions and helped me get it set up. We had to drill a couple four inch holes into the existing concrete and install the posts and everything. He responds in a timely fashion, always answers all my questions, and has been honest about my options even when it might not generate him any business. He and his company do quality work! Give them a call! read more

Matt did a great job on the shared neighbor cedar wood fence installation. Looked at three separate bids and his was the most competitive. What made him stand out the most though was his attitude of going above and beyond and not cutting corners. The conditions of the install were under 90+ degree weather, rocky soil filled with a tremendous amount of large roots, and just overall back-breaking labor. Yet despite all these inconveniences during the install, you wouldn't really know because he handles them for you and you just see the stellar results. He's honest, personable, and extremely communicative by either text, call, or email. You don't have to worry about being pushed in a direction you don't want to go and he's extremely patient. I encountered many setbacks trying to coordinate with 4 separate neighbors sharing fences and he calmly waited and contributed to moving the process along. He's been in the business for many years and is willing to share his honest expertise so I definitely recommend going with him and his company for any fence-related needs. A+ service and install! read more

I had a wooden fence that was rotted and needing replacement; about 80 feet of fencing including a gate. Matt gave me a bid that came in under my budget. He removed the old one and installed the new one with his partner over a Friday and Saturday. He also did maintenance on another gate that balanced it and made it like new. Really happy with the work and would recommend. The old one had wooden posts that were rotting. The new posts are aluminum embedded in cement. See before and after pics so you can see the work. read more

They do quality work. There isn't a middle man, you get to talk to the owner and he is good at communication. My neighbor and I wanted a common fence line after many years of patchwork from previous owners. Matt made it work. Good pricing too. read more

We recently engaged Hunter Fence company to install a chain link fence in our rear yard. Matt Hunter who owns the business was professional, informative and very pleasant to deal with. Most importantly he was on site doing the installation with his team. Our installation was particularly challenging as it was on a steep slope with overgrown bush. The team managed around the challenges and we are delighted with the outcome. If you are looking for value for money and a quality fence installation please consider the Hunter Fence company! read more

We needed a long stretch of chain-link fence replaced. It had been severely damaged over the years from Eucalyptus limbs occasionally breaking off and falling on it. Matt Hunter and Josh installed commercial-grade chain-link in its place and we could not be happier. They included a wide gate, cut down and removed all the old fence, all in one day, and the price was reasonable. read more

I searched Yelp to find a company to install a chain link fence and gate across a seldom-used dirt driveway. After reading all the 5-star reviews for Hunter Fence, I contacted Matt Hunter for an estimate. He came to my home within a couple of days and provided an excellent plan to not only secure the driveway, but also to reuse existing gates that were further up the property to avoid the cost of building new ones. The work was completed within the promised timeframe and the new fence and recycled gates look terrific. It was a pleasure working with Matt and I greatly appreciated his recommendation to reuse the existing gates, which not only repurposed usable materials, but also saved me the added expense of building new ones. Hunter Fence clearly earns and deserves their 5-star reviews! read more

Matt Hunter was quick to respond to my inquiry. He provided a detailed estimate after viewing the chain link fence that needed replacement, and also provided his insurance and license information. The work was completed professionally and within a short time of first contact. Highly recommended! read more

Matt just created and installed two new gates and associated fence sections for us - one in cedar and one in redwood. One gate required working with the existing fence and adding many feet of height to it, creating beautiful custom piano lattice to let in light while providing security and beauty to our back deck. We weren't sure how to secure the backyard and Matt came up with this idea that saved us from creating probably 50 more feet of fencing while enhancing the deck space. Both new gates are solid, beautiful and fully functional. We are 100% thrilled with Matt and Andres' work. They left our property cleaner than they found it. The only hiccup is the neighbor's cat, Jack, who isn't sure how to get out of our yard now :-) read more

Amazing job from Hunter Fence! Matt and his team are experts at building a fence and gates. They were professional, hard-working, and quick.
