Aluminum gates are not cheap, but it'll be a quality buy that has a lifelong warranty!

I contacted Edwin and asked him to come out and fix it, but I had to contact him many times before he finally came. Unfortunately, the same problem happened again a few months later. Once again, I had to repeatedly ask him to come out and fix it. Then, a few months later, the gate stopped closing properly again. This has happened over and over for the past several years. At this point, I am emotionally exhausted from having to deal with this situation. Every time there is a problem, I have to contact him repeatedly--sometimes 10 times or more--before he will come out to address it. Now, he is completely ignoring my calls and text messages. I don't want to keep chasing him anymore. He installed both sides of the gate, but the locks were not installed identically or properly, which I believe is part of the problem. He originally promised that the gate would be covered by a lifetime warranty. Based on my experience, however, he has repeatedly failed to honor that promise. This entire experience has been extremely stressful and emotionally draining. I don't think he realizes how much stress he has caused us by repeatedly promising to fix the problem and then failing to follow through. I would not recommend this contractor to anyone who wants reliable service or someone who stands behind their work.

My custom-designed railing (64 linear feet) was hot-dip galvanized and took about six weeks from start to finish. Paul recommended a matte black finish because the hot-dip process can leave slight irregularities, but it ensures the metal will never rust. He was absolutely right--the final result is stunning. The railing was installed the day before my birthday party, and we made it just in time. All of my guests and neighbors were blown away by how beautiful everything turned out. Paul is professional, reliable, and highly skilled. I would honestly ignore any one-star reviews--they do not reflect the quality of his work or service. The Positives * Communication & Speed: They were quick to respond, quick to get us on the schedule, and finished the installation very fast. * Pricing & Reputation: Their quote was fair and in line with other estimates I received. I ultimately chose them because I recognized the brand and had seen their work around the neighborhood. * Customer Support: When I reached out regarding issues after the job, they responded quickly and sent a different installer out to fix one of the issues. The Negatives * Damaged Materials: Many vinyl pieces arrived scratched up because they were transported loose in the back of the installer's truck, sliding around in dirt and debris. * Rough Site Cleanup: I had carefully cleared all the rocks away from the old fence so they could work easily and replace the rocks afterward. Because the crew rushed, they did a poor job spreading the rock back out, leaving obvious bare dirt patches despite there being plenty of rock. There were tons of vinyl shavings from the installation that are all over the yard. * Property Damage: Concrete was dripped onto my decorative walkway pavers, which I still haven't been able to remove. * Missed Instructions: I specifically asked them not to connect the new fence to my neighbor's existing fence, but they did it anyway. Follow-Up & Final Verdict To their credit, Alpine Fence sent a second technician who replaced the scratched rails, posts, and gate, and fixed a gate installation error. However, they completely ignored the concrete on my decorative pavers, the rock landscaping issue, and the improper connection to the neighbor's fence. They get the job done quickly and stand by their customer service to an extent, but the rushed workmanship and damage to surrounding property keep this at a 3-star review.
