This company came to our place and gave a quote. I told them I am going with them and suggested the we sign a contract with a placeholder for the color. They asked me to get back to them when I know the color for sure. It took me some time to figure out the color of the concrete. Even while visiting, when I started asking a lot of questions, I heard a remark that the job was too small for them. When I reached out after having decided the color, they said they are scheduled for the next 6 months and can't take on this project. I am back to square one now. Another aspect that I found out from my talking to them is that this company does not do any background check of the employees. While they may employ people they know, if this is important to you as a customer, be informed that this is the case. Follow up for the response from the business: if it were too small, they should not have engaged and come out to give a quote. We hired Gabino's concrete to put an exterior patio slab next to the side of the house. We also asked him to fill-in an existing planter area and add-in matching patio tiles to match the existing patio tiles. Overall, we were very happy with his and his teams services, however, there were a few areas where we'd like to see improvement: Some areas where they exceeded expectations: - Gabino was responsive and very friendly. I was very happy with his customer service and general demeanor. - Team was professional, timely, and efficient - Work was done on-time and for the agreed-upon amount(s) - Concrete work was very clean and professional. Looks GREAT. - His team was overall, very clean and efficient (very little mess, see below): - The patio tile work was FANTASTIC. You can't even tell that the new area was added... looks like it has always been that way Some areas of improvement I would like them to address: - The carpenters that unscrewed the formwork left screws EVERYWHERE in the yard. I wish I would have caught that prior to issuing final payment to ensure the area was clean. - Some sections of the slab were overpoured slightly past the footprint of the slab and I will need to chip these areas out prior to laying out the turf that will eventually butt up to the new slab. In hindsight, I would have asked for this to be cleaned up - Lots of scrap rock and brick were used as scrap in-fill for a large section of the built-up slab (~10" above nearby grade). This shouldn't have any structural implications, but I wish they would have communicated this so I was aware of this - I had an electrical conduit located in the corner of the slab for future, but in the course of construction, we agreed to change the dimensions of the slab and the formwork team left the conduit dangerously close to the edge of the slab. It has only been a few weeks and the concrete is already starting to crack near the edge where this conduit is. I wish they had brought this up as a concern so I could have had the conduit moved prior to concrete being poured - We are replacing the yard with turf in the future, but there were tire marks left in the yard from the work (the work occurred right after a large rain). I wish the team had asked for permission prior to driving all over the grass and tearing it up (I am sure this was not their intention) All in all, I liked Gabino and his team's work (we are very happy about the overall end product), and I would consider using them again, but I would like them to work on the items above before I would consider hiring them for my next project. read more

I had to remind the guys to put in rebar before they started pouring concrete. I also had to point out that the holes in a french drain should point down. When they were hauling away the dirt, they dropped a bunch on top of my new french drain. The only thing I did not have to supervise was the grading of the dirt in my yard. I would not recommend this company. Edit: BTW, you did not fill any holes or cut my trees. You told me the estimate included connecting the rain gutters to the french drain. Your lack of knowledge about my projects shows that you were not paying attention and that you were only on site briefly to collect the checks. read more

His team did a great job, and had the work done in a day. Watching his finisher's meticulous attention to detail to make sure it was perfect was like watching an artist. When do we even begin. After having a horrible experience from our 1st Contractor ( Diversified Landscaping!! Do not go there) to do our front yard my wife and I were really careful about picking a contractor to do our landscaping after building our pool. After meeting with 5+ companies, we decided to go for Gabino's company. He showed up on schedule, extremely knowledgeable, very straightforward and will not try to sales talk you for unnecessary extra stuff that you dont need. We collaborated with the design and he gave good suggestions that other companies never even mentioned. The price was very reasonable but their work was impeccable. They showed up almost everyday, and if they cant make it that day, he made sure to communicate with us. The worst service I have ever experienced when I say these guys were someone unprofessional and rude I mean this time to the tee. they came to my house left everything sloppy had concrete all over the street the main contractor had an attitude the whole time when I told him to clean it up. We hired Gabino to extend our pavers and install artificial turf in the backyard. His crew were nice but we only saw Gabino at the beginning of the job and occasionally to collect payments. In the end, he did a nice job on the slab for our sunroom (contracted with another company for the sunroom build, he was a sub of theirs). But I don't think they installed the turf properly, (not cut precisely, the seams are visible, not proper install for pets), the border bricks around part of the yard were left with blobs of cement in the holes. They threw the stones and soil onto existing plants when leveling the backyard for the turf. The trim around the trees is sticking up very high above the turf and looks bad. We chose not to hire him for our front yard remodel. read more

We had him put a patio in the backyard with a long extending shelf along the back of the house.
