After finally admitting defeat in our battle with gophers, we decided it was time to replace the sod in our backyard, add gopher wire underneath, and install artificial turf around our pool. We interviewed three companies and ultimately chose Villanuevas Landscape for two main reasons. First, the owner, Andres, personally came to our home to assess the scope of the project and address our questions about adding gopher wire under the sod to mitigate the gopher issue. Second, his pricing was very reasonable compared to the other estimates we received. The entire project was completed in just two days. Andres actively managed the project from start to finish, and his crew worked efficiently while paying close attention to detail. They were respectful of our property throughout the process and made sure the work area was clean at the end of each day. We couldn't be happier with the results and highly recommend Villanuevas Landscape to anyone looking for quality landscaping work. We'll definitely be using them again for future projects! read more

They were prompt, attentive, respectful, and allowed me to provide guidance throughout the project (with regard to my specific needs)! Everything turned out exactly like I hoped it would! Messaged for service - Andre's responded , said " maybe" he could come by on Monday , it's Wednesday and no response.

Villanuevas Landscape does a great job! Andres stopped by to discuss the project and provided a very competitive quote. We wanted to remove the mulched area, install turf, get the irrigatiom system back up and running, remove shrubs and trees, fill the remaining retaining wall slope with ice plant, and paint the retaining wall. They were able to complete the project in 3 days and were very clean throughout the process. Their work and speed is very impressive. Andres did not try to sell me on anything, which I really appreciated. He offered opinions when asked, but was not pushy about expanding the project. He was very honest and communicated very well. I will definitely reach out to Andres and his team for any future projects. read more

Villanueva Landscape was beyond amazing!! Andres was very communicative and offered flexible days/time for service. I asked for a quote originally and he was able to fix the broken sprinkler pipe right then and there - in less than an hour! He was incredibly professional and offered great prices. I also needed some wiring fixed, as well as getting the sprinkler system reprogrammed and he was able to take care of that in his single trip. Villanueva Landscaping is where it's at, I can't wait to hire him for my future landscaping needs. 5 stars all around read more

*Highly recommend and would hire again* Had a water leak repaired on our irrigation. Great work and communication , he even checked in that night to when the water needed to be turned back on (after time allowed for the repairs to dry). He was going to come back to turn the water back on but my husband was able to. Really easy to work with. read more

I put out requests on Yelp for an estimate on sprinkler repair or replacement. Andres from Villanueva's Landscaping was extremely accommodating and thorough in his communications with me and written estimates provided. Because of this, I chose his company to complete the project, which consisted of replacing our old, leaking sprinkler system, installing a new modern timer, removing the old gopher-damaged lawn, installing gopher mesh, new sod, and a decorative rock bed between the house and lawn. Andres and his crew did excellent work! They arrived on time each day and worked hard on the job. Andres was in communication with me daily about the project, which turned out beautifully! I have a new, efficient sprinkler system and lawn with no more gopher holes and mounds of dirt (and won't need to pay an exterminator to get rid of the gophers!). Andres also added extra touches, such as replacing some bushes where there were gaps, and pruning my rose bushes. My front yard looks wonderful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Villanueva's Landscape to anyone. I will use them for a future backyard project. Thank you, Andres! read more

Andres made a free service call and took a look at some irrigation issues I am having with a leaking valve. He helped me diagnose the problem and even suggested DIY ways to fix the issue. If I can't fix it myself, I will be sure to call him. The experience was professional, friendly, helpful, and valuable. Would definitely recommend. read more

I can't say enough great things about Villanuevas Landscape! They transformed my unfinished plant beds into a beautiful and polished space. These guys transformed my front yard and sidewalk area into a beautifully manicured and weed free landscape. They firstly picked all the weeds in my front yard and sidewalk area and then lay down weed barrier before adding rock and mulch to designated weed free zones. Also, they unearthed old flag stone and sprinkled white pebbles in between to add the pop you see in the pictures. These guy are humble and hard working. They get to work early and go above and beyond. I asked them if they'd do me a favor and plant a few plants for me and do some trimming for me and they agreed to provide additional services at no extra charge. Did I tell you that they provided all this at a very reasonable fee? I now have a beautiful front yard area that is low maintenance and that won't require up keep and too much water. read more

Easy to communicate with and prompt with replies! They helped me with a new irrigation instal that I have been needing for years. I have worked with many different landscaping companies but now I won't use anyone else. The estimate process was very easy and I feel the value was great considering the scope of work they performed. PLUS they left the job site CLEAN - not always the case with other companies. It's a little detail but it's nice not to have to pick up after crews they have been working in the yard for a couple days! read more

Andres and his crew are great! I had a giant pit of cement and debris left over from removing an old storage shed/house. Andres came out and not only removed all of the cement, but also filled it and laid new sod. In addition he cleaned up my yard's landscaping that desperately needed it. Now my backyard looks amazing and my son loves playing in the lush new grass. I highly recommend Villanuevas Landscaping for any of your needs. They are quick, professional, and reasonably priced. read more

Andres and his crew are amazing. We hired him to level out a small portion of the backyard and pave so we could put a small pool in the back for swimming! So many others wouldn't even touch our job because it was too small. We are so thankful for Andres. He and his crew did an amazing job.... I added before and after pictures. It is completely level and the paving is amazing. We had to call him back out to add one row of paving and he got to us so quickly yet again. Both jobs were completed within the day. No cleanup needed after they cleaned up everything. He's the only one we will be using for future outside needs for sure. read more

Andres really saved the day! We had to shut off all the water to our house one morning due to a leak with our sprinklers. Andres came out after his daughters soccer practice to help us cap the pipe so we could turn the water back on to the house. Beyond replacing the broken pipe, he updated our sprinkler system, and added a shutoff valve to our sprinkler system. He was friendly, explained everything very well, and cleaned up at the end of the day. I would definitely recommend Andres! read more

With 4th of July just around the corner, I wasn't having any luck finding someone to come out and replace a leaking irrigation valve that forced me to shut off my water. I finally spoke to Andres who came out at the end of the day to ensure I would have water to the house. He replaced two old valves and installed a separate shutoff valve for the irrigation (the original install didn't have one). He did a great job and even offered to come back out the same night if there were any leaks after I turned everything back on once the glue had dried. Everything was fine when the water was turned back on. If it wasn't for Andres I would've been without water for at least another day. I highly recommend him for any landscape repair or installation. read more

we live in El Cajon and we needed drains put in the backyard. We've got several estimates, and Andre with Villanueva's landscape came in at the best price. We were surprised with how many employess he actually brought in to do the drain work. Audrey takes is workmanship seriously and it showed in the results . They were professional and cleaned up the entire yard after they were finished. We couldn't believe it actually didn't look like work had been done. They did such a great job straightening out the yard after the drains had been put in. It was done in a way that we can tell is going to work well with all the heavy rains. I highly recommend them. read more

I had a major water leak in a main line for my sprinkler system and called Villanueva landscape, luckily Andres had some last minute availability. Andres showed up when he said he will, listened to me when I told him what the issue was, and gave me a few options for repair and estimated the cost for both. He ended up having to replace a large chunk of pipe and adding a shut off valve that the previous installer (before we bought the house) never added and the area was returned back to as original as can be while also adding an access for the shut off. Great work, fast service, his pricing was very reasonable. I will be using Villanueva landscape again and would recommend his services to anyone that asks. read more

Andres and his team repaired a long-standing issue with my sprinkler system that involved excavation of a broken line and replumbing. I couldn't be happier with the high quality of his work, and he was easy to talk to, honest, friendly, and very responsive. His charges were very modest considering the scope of the work, and I would not hesitate to use him again. I strongly recommend Villanuevas Landscape! read more

Great job in landscaping our front yard. Would definitely recommend using this company.

Wanted $1500 to replace one sprinkler head and repair a broken pipe. Maybe an hours work.

I requested estimates on yelp for intrusive castor bean plant removal. Andres answered quickly and was able to come that day. He kept in communication about the time that he would arrive and texted before he came. It was a big job and he and his partner did an excellent and fast job, removing not only the entire plants, but the roots underground. He even gave suggestions on how to keep them from overtaking our yard again. I highly recommend Villanueva's Landscape and will use them again. 5 star recommended! read more

I called on the Monday before 4th of July. Andres answered the phone and asked me some questions to help him understand my issue and had me text him some photos of the valve that was spraying water from my sprinkler system. He quickly diagnosed the problem and made an appointment for 45 minutes later. He arrived on time, gave me a quote for the one valve and another that was leaking. He quickly got to work, finished the job and tested the system. It worked perfectly. I felt his work was excellent and the price he charged was very reasonable. I would recommend him for any sprinkler issues you may run into. read more

Andre and his crew renovated my yard about three years ago. Grubs had ruined my front and back lawns and back yard was over run with growth and other debris. He cleared my large backyard of dead vegetation, trimmed up all trees and bushes, removed old sheds and other junk. He then dug out old lawn, prepped new soil and laid new sod. The job was done quickly and on time. When done I asked him about maintenance going forward. He quoted me a price for just maintaining lawns. I told him I wanted my property to look like it did that day forever. In the past I have had garden services that did great for a few months and then gradually just starting phoning it in and my properties showed. That's when you change gardeners. Andre, Esteban and Roberto have kept my property looking beautiful as the first day. Highly recommend. read more
