He arrived on time and handed us a business card. However, the rest of the meeting did not go well for us. He spoke very quickly and looked at his phone frequently, and we felt he was not fully listening to what we wanted. When I scheduled our appointment, we sent him our designer's plan, which showed bender board separating the small rocks from the large ones, along with photographs of our property. He therefore had the full scope of work before he arrived. Yet his first statement to us at the meeting was, "This job is not so simple," which contradicted what he had said when I scheduled the appointment. He also told us the bender board was not necessary. Our property is on a slope; hence, the two different rocks would most certainly mix over time. Next, he said previous contractors' quotes had not included enough rock and recommended roto-tilling the property. He did not take any measurements before saying we would need more rock, stating he could estimate the amount by eye. When I asked whether he planned to measure, given the quantity involved, he said it wasn't necessary but agreed to do so reluctantly. During the meeting, he mentioned several times how busy he was and that he had 20 employees. He also criticized the other contractors we had received estimates from, which we found unprofessional. While my wife was still explaining what we were looking for, he said he did not want to take on the job and walked away. We found this rude. We also waited a full week between our initial contact and this meeting, and we were left puzzled as to why he bothered to schedule our appointment when he said he was so busy. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill almost immediately. The owner refused to listen to what I was trying to explain and immediately started cutting into irrigation lines without discussing pricing, troubleshooting strategy, or even what he believed the problem might be. Instead, I got long "war stories" about other lawns he had worked on, which did nothing to address my issue. In the end, he never actually found the problem. Instead, he capped off piping and rigged the system so water flowed through all the sprinklers, but with significantly reduced pressure and coverage compared to before. When I pointed this out, he ignored my concerns and told me to go buy different sprinkler heads because that "should" fix the coverage problem. I would expect a professional irrigation contractor to properly diagnose and solve the issue himself. He also replaced the top portion of my solenoid valve with a larger setup that now prevents my valve box door from closing. After I contacted him about this, he promised he would come back and correct it. To date, I have heard nothing. The cleanup and restoration were also sloppy. Soil around the sprinklers was carelessly replaced, and the entire job felt rushed and unprofessional. I honestly regret paying for the service. I do want to say that his assistant was respectful of my property and professional throughout the visit. I only wish the assistant had been the one leading the job instead of the owner. At one point the owner mentioned that he installs artificial grass as well. Based on my experience with this irrigation repair, I personally would not trust him with any landscaping project.

Turns out - just a rusty faucet, and a simple dripping valve problem!
