I cannot recommend Tom highly enough! We had our front and back yards completely redone several years ago and the team who did the work were pretty sloppy. We had several lights that wouldn't work that had been driving us nuts. Tom came out, identified the issues, fixed lights in the front, dropped new wire in the back, and had everything working perfectly. It was such a good experience that we asked him to come back and install some uplights by our palm trees around our pool and fire pit. They look amazing and totally transform the yard! The ones around the fire pit required Tom to snake under a cement curb and our turf, and he did the work beautifully. It looks like the lights were there from the beginning, rather than an add-on later. We will use Tom for all of our lighting and irrigation needs in the future! read more

I am a homeowner in Spring Valley with a 1/4 acre yard. A few days ago I called Tom Jarra, the owner of Accurate Irrigation & Lighting Services to restore connectivity in yard lighting that contractors doing work on my house and yard had severed. Tom showed up personally a couple days later and within an hour, he had diagnosed a complicated breach and repaired it. over ten or more years that o have known Tom, I have called on him to help with similar problems and he's never disappointed. in fact, Tom designed and installed all the low-voltage lighting in my yard and the results are nothing short of spectacular. Tom is fair, professional, technically competent and personable, and his work is superior to anyone else's that I've experienced. I fully recommend Tom to anyone contemplating installing new or repairing older lights for their yard. He's never disappointed. read more

Can't say enough positive about the superb work Tom did analyzing and repairing a lawn irrigation problem. Keeping me advised throughout, he not only fixed the one specific issue but with my approval, addressed and upgraded other elements as well, showing me what was being done and why. The final result is superb! He was on time, quoted costs in advance, ensured I understood what was being done, and provided advice I wrote down for the future. The final cost was more than fair, providing outstanding value for the money spent. Moreover, he called later to check if all is working as it should...it most certainly is. read more

Tom did an excellent job on my sprinklers. After years of neglect from my gardener, there were several sprinkler heads buried under the grass, several sprinkler heads broken off or leaking, broken pipes, and broken valves. It was a real mess! Tom spent a few hours digging things out, replacing heads, and correcting problems with the original installation. He was very reasonable and professional. He has a deep technical background and can install an impressive lighting system for your lawn or outdoor entertainment area, not to mention an efficient, yet efficacious irrigation system. I was so pleasantly surprised to find Tom! He went out of his way to fix the mess that was my existing irrigation system. Our grass was getting brown and spotty, and our landscaper told me we needed to water more, so I did. After no improvement in the grass, our landscaper told us to increase the watering times again, so I did. Still no improvement, but I did get the water bill, and holy #@*$^#!! So I did my research and called Tom. He is semi-retired and busy, but is very communicative and finally came out to take a look at things. Turns out our fancy spinning sprinkler heads weren't cutting the mustard. So Tom got the supplies he needed and scheduled to come do the work. Turns out that in the process of fixing the sprinklers (and our drip system) he found that one of our sprinklers had a huge leak underground. Whoa! He dug a big hole and sure enough a connection had separated. He had to come back to fix that, but when he filled the hole back in, it was like it was never there. So it turns out that now our grass has come back and looks great, and I am able to cut back on watering so my bill went back down! Tom's work was reasonable, so with my now shorter watering times, its like it paid for itself. Highly recommend! read more

Tom Jara came out and evaluated our entire system because at that time the system was not working at all, and had a leak. After his assessment he went on to make all the necessary repairs and adjustments. He came back three times to install additional heads, and to assure that everything worked properly. What a different system! I had no idea how poorly the system formerly worked. What a magician. read more

Well, our project to convert the yard from ugly-ivy to drought-tolerant plants has been quite an adventure! We thought concrete work, boulders & plant selection would be the toughest parts. Then we discovered we knew NOTHING about the importance of Lighting. Thankfully, we met Tom Jara -- just in time! He is extremely knowledgeable & best of all, he is PATIENT (I ask a lot of questions). He explained the best ways to truly showcase our "new" yard -- path lights, up-lights, etc. Thanks to Tom's design ideas & his hard work, our yard is now safe, plus it is beautiful during the day AND at night. We even have people stop by & take pictures. Wow! read more
