Been going there at least once a week since they opened. Today I had there Fish Tacos, and a chicken quesadilla, outstanding meal, probably the best Fish Tacos and quesadilla that I have eaten. Ok I've been to this restaurant twice and both times the food is horrible ,no flavor and poor quality. Customer service is good though. Coffee stays full. Can of coke $3 . No refills only cans. Based on reviews we decided to finally try BP's. We were very disappointed. We had fish and chips with coleslaw. The fish was cod but it must not be fresh, but frozen. Or it is salt cod. The fish was very salty and tough. The coating was good but also salty. I like salt but my companion is not a salt person so she didn't eat much. The fries also I believe were frozen. They were not crispy but soggy. The coleslaw was very chunky and also sweet. Not to our taste but others might like it that way, Not so sure we will try it this place again but with all the five stars on here, maybe it was an off day. read more

A wonderful edition to the neighborhood. This new restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious food, breakfast & lunch. The staff are friendly and the service is excellent, we never had to ask for tea refills. The fried zucchini appetizer is delicious and inventive. Tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday. I've read other reviews regarding the food and customer service, I can agree, all the great things other customers have said is true. From the time you walk into the door, the service is excellent. I tried the prime rib and my husband chicken fried steak. Both meals were very good, nothing fancy but a good home cooked meal. I brought home an order of the prime rib for our son, and that was gone, not a morsel left. Looking forward to going back and trying some of the other menu items. read more

I had breakfast here yesterday 6-11-23 the service was spot on, the bacon was delicious the pancakes were just like any other Denny's or Black bear dinner, hash browns were under cooked, eggs were cooked just the way I wanted, the portions in my opinion were not enough for the price a little over 17 bucks should've been three pancakes and three eggs instead of just two, would I visit JP'S again? maybe if they would offer a little more food for the price. Again the service was spot on but the food portions at least in the breakfast could be better, I was still hungry. read more

I am so so happy this place is here. I have been really wanting a place like this nearby where I can pick up fresh and delicious lunch with a wide variety of options. I personally really like the Buffalo chicken sandwich and the onion rings. They are both the best I've had anywhere. The onion rings in particular are to die for. They are very crispy and the onions are so sweet and perfectly cooked inside their little heavenly shell of fried goodness. The staff is always very friendly, and the food comes out very fast as well. Can't wait to try more of their menu!! read more

I have gone to breakfast there twice and have been happy each time. Good breakfast places are hard to come by, but this is one of them. And since it's close to my home, this is my new go-to. The eggs are well done, the bacon is flavorful, and there isn't a weak link in any of the other items I've had either. Where everyone knows your name! Stopped in for my weekly pick up of Fish and Chips for two this evening. Maegan greeted me by name. Impressive that she can remember customers, especially since I wear a mask. As usual, the fish was nicely done. The extra crispy fries (I think they are now using rough-cut fries) and onion rings were still piping hot by the time I arrived home a few minutes later. Everything tasted very fresh. Eh, standard Martinez slop. Eggs and bacon were good, but they couldn't give me four pieces of bacon with my breakfast and that was the first red flag. French toast was clearly not soaked in the egg wash very well, and had a distinct cake like texture with almost no egg flavor or crust I expect from a good French Toast. Ordered a side of sourdough because the French Toast was not hitting and they gave me under toasted, soft bread, with way way too much butter. I'm talking a puddle of butter in the middle of a yellow soaked slice. Guess the locals prefer quantity over quality because they're making IHOP look like gourmet food over here read more

I don't live in Martinez any more but if I did I would come here all the time. I went twice while I was in town, I got the JP's Benedict and the strawberries and cream French toast. The food was delicious both times and the staff was friendly and attentive, always keeping my coffee mug full. The space is new and clean and they have TVs you can watch while you eat. The owner Megan came out to talk to us, she is so sweet and you can tell she really cares about everyone having a great experience. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in Martinez. read more

First time my family went to this place for dinner. Service was so weird- first thing a server said to us was "were you guys here first??" Then we waited over an hour for our food. Saw two tables send food back after receiving their plates. Food was average. I really recommend assigning waiters/waitresses to tables so they dont run around confused what tables they should be serving. read more

Went for breakfast. I ordered a few different things, the mini breakfast plate, a waffle combo and chilaquiles to-go. The portions were great, and everything was fresh and super flavorful. I will definitely go back for the chilaquiles, they were delicious. I also look forward to trying more off the menu. read more

Food was ok, but based on other's reviews I expected more. We went for prime rib the cut was sizable, but the sides were not very exciting.

We have visited JP's 3 times in the last week and enjoyed each visit. The wraps are delicious and the sweet potato fries are perfect. I had the French dip on ciabatta bread and it was so good. The bread was fresh and light. My friend had the fish and chips and said they were really good. The staff is wonderful very friendly and attentive. Food was good. One change I would make is on the french tosat. It was delicious but the cold hard butter was a bit of a turn off. A nice whipped or any soft butter would have set it off. The owner wearing a hat with huge bold letters BOSS seems a bit much for just opening a restaurant. Turn off to customers and I'm sure the employees. Be humble, mentor and inspire your employees. So Yeah,,,,I retired 8 yrs ago and as people do, promised to keep in touch. There are really only a couple I have much contact with anymore and monthly lunches have pretty much fallen off to 1-2 per yr. That being said sometimes those lunches run long, really long. With one former co-worker we're hitting 4-5 hr lunches. We chose JP's this time and were so happy we did, our lunch ran from about 1130 to 5. My hind end felt it too. We ordered simple like burgers and french dip, everything was great, as time wore on and drinks were refilled, we asked, are we in the way, should we move, (cause we had snagged a booth when we came in). No, no was the answer each time. As time wore on we noticed they were seating the early dinner crowd. At one point a server passed us by with some great looking fried zucchini on a skewer. So of course the next time they passed by we said bring us each one of those. Great and crispy with the best ranch dip I've ever had. Drinks/coffee stayed full til we couldn't drink another drop. The staff was just at that perfect nexus of helpful, and funny and gave us a true sense of being welcome there. In the end the food was great but it's the staff that will bring me back, probably tomorrow actually, gotta get back on track with those lunches read more
