The food was absolutely amazing -- every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. The fettuccine Alfredo was creamy, rich, and comforting, the lasagna was perfectly layered and delicious, and the Tuscan sandwich was a wonderful combination of fresh flavors. The Caesar salad was crisp and refreshing, I liked the gentle dressing, and the burger was outstanding with great attention to quality and taste. The mojito flight was the perfect finishing touch -- fun, refreshing, and beautifully presented. This restaurant is more than just a place to eat - every Wednesday they have a vivid karaoke night. We wanted to try this fairly new place. So many great reviews. The word fresh was used alot. Nothing we received was qfresh. Salad was supposed to be chopped,but it was torn lettuce from a bag, some strip of horrible salami and bottled dressing Salmon obviously frozen and over cooked. No bread offered, we were told it was an extra charge, we said ok, then waiter says, don't worry I'll comp you. I order a glass of La Marca Proseco, clearly listed on menu and was told by bottle only. After waiter went to check to check he came back with a rose sparkling, not what I ordered, so he runs next door and brings the bottle of the correct wine. On a positive note, we ended up having a great conversation with couple sitting next to us. This was an $80 dinner. A salad, salmon and 2 drinks. We wont be coming back. Um well. I guess they are trying. Colors of the walls, the decor, the furniture to neon sign. It all just felt a bit to wrong. What I like is that they have a full bar. The cocktails were nicely priced around $11.99 to $12.99. My partner ordered the purplish drink and it was ok, I ordered a hazy IPA and it was about 9 bucks I want to say. At least the glass was nice and cold. The bar is nice and there is plenty of booth seating with chairs on the other side. The menu is pretty small which I like. We went ahead and ordered a couple of appetizers. The calamari rings were extremely rubbery and it tasted like it was frozen out of a bag. We also ordered the garlic fries and those weren't so bad but their blue cheese dressing is cheap Kraft. Over all the service was ok, we waited a minute or two since she was outside or something on a break. We told them not to rush anything! Will I come back, since I'm. Moving out of the area, I don't think I would be back. Nothing popped out at me and that's what's sad. Campy campy campy. read more

Our server (young man) was the reason for the 4 to be honest. This place was a first time for me and my guy on a random Tuesday. We were seated promptly and told of the specials. We opted for the margarita flight which was yummy. We opted for coconut, peach, mango and strawberry. I had never tried a coconut margarita and this was my fave. The bartender and server were bantering which each other playfully which made our experience fun. This is a really a cute quaint spot with a mix of different types of food on the menu. I opted for the salmon and my guy got the fish and chips. The fish and chips he says were terrific, they looked good. Nice long and healthy pieces of fish over crispy fries. my salmon was overcooked though and under seasoned. I eat a lot of salmon and wanted more seasoning. the broccoli was watery and not flavored. The roasted potatoes were okay. Fingerling cut potatoes. Can't really go wrong there. If i came back here it would be for apps and drinks only. the prices are good so that would bring me back to sit at the bar. read more

We were excited to try this place and it didn't disappoint. It has good Italian food without the crazy high prices and it's a casual atmosphere. We tried the Po'boy and it was excellent and the fries are crispy and delicious. The star of our night was the short rib ravioli's. You can have any sauce with it and the awesome waitress recommended the bolognese. We make ravioli's from scratch so it's not easy to impress us but these were out of this world. I've ordered the Fish and chips and Sliders takeout several times. The service is always great. Everyone seems very friendly. However, the quality of the takeout has deteriorated over the last couple of times. The last time, the fish and the chips were cold by the time I got home (five minutes away). The batter was pulled away from the fish. I suspect the food may have been sitting out for awhile. Also, in the past, they provided a serving of very flavorful Tartar Sauce. This time there was no Tartar sauce. A disappointment - it was a great place to get Fish and Chips. I will try it again to see if it is a pattern. read more

I had a really good experience here. The toasted ravioli was honestly the star for me, super crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and full of flavor. The fish and chips were also awesome, not too oily, and the right texture, which I really liked. The place feels welcoming, great service, good environment inside, the food comes out hot, and everything tastes fresh. My family and I ordered our Sunday dinner from here. We were very excited to try this new local establishment. Unfortunately it was extremely underwhelming. We ordered the Garden salad that was suppose to have cherry tomatoes, red onion, cucumbers, black olives, cheese and croutons on it. When we got home we discovered it only had the lettuce, cheese and croutons. For $15, this is extremely disappointing. In addition we ordered the Lasagna, it was lacking flavor and the portion was super scarce. We ordered the Fettuccine, that was lacking flavor as well and very dry, no creamy consistency and again super scarce portion. Lastly we ordered the Minestrone soup, the container was only filled halfway and again lacking flavor. Maybe they were having an off night idk but for $73.00 the flavor should be there, as well as the portions. read more

Im so happy we got this new spot in Martinez! I got the lasagna to try tonight and it was so incredibly delicious! I've been a little under the weather, so I ordered for pick up and had my husband go get it so the way it looks is not the restaurant's fault at all! It is cheesy, hearty and tastes like something straight out of grandmas kitchen, exactly what I needed right now! We can't wait to be back, there are several items on the menu we are interested in and if they're anything like my dinner tonight, I know we won't be disappointed. My husband said the person who took the order on the phone was very nice and same for who charged him at pick up. Was excited to try this spot but apparently they haven't figured out the hours of operation. After checking Yelp -said they close at 11:59PM & Google- said 10PM, I went in at 9:20PM to order food. I was told they had closed the kitchen. The female employee eating while sitting at the bar said they had submitted the paperwork to Yelp to have the hours changed. News Flash- When dealing with Yelp, you don't submit paperwork, you send an email and they change the hours instantly. It's not nice to lie to your potential customers. read more

I should have known better than to order the Fish And Chips. I wasn't expecting much, and that's what I got. It looked terrible and tasted bad. I tried their Spaghetti Bolognese, and it was fine. I should have just stuck with that. Just because they have one terrible dish doesn't mean everything is bad. They should take the Fish And Chips off the menu, and stick with the things they can cook. A great new addition to Martinez! My husband wanted to try this restaurant as he's heard great things about it. It's in the Nob Hill Shopping Center, so plenty of parking. It's a cozy restaurant only about 10 or so tables and about 12 ish chairs around the bar. Everyone was super friendly and the waiter was very attentive. This is the type of place that remembers your order and starts working on it as soon as you walk in - that take care of you family vibe. My husband loved his Italian salad and my house salad was really good. We both added chicken and it was very flavorful. Menu is small, which is fine by me! Oh, and the bread and butter - yummy! Bella's is a new Italian restaurant that replaced a different Italian restaurant about a month or so ago and like the last restaurant, the food is not good. I ordered the lasagna which was flavorless and oddly enough colorless. It was extremely dry but looked like pasta and cheese. My friend ordered the pasta Alfredo with shrimp and it looked like soup. The Alfredo sauce was extremely watery and the shrimp were severely overcooked. To make things worse a waiter told us they had no bread. They gave me a whole song and dance about how they didn't have any bread and didn't know what they were gonna do later on in the shift with no bread. I had to send my friend to the grocery store next to the restaurant to buy bread. Oddly enough when another family came in and asked for bread they mysteriously had bread. Although our food made it to the table, the waiter brought out bread for the other family and didn't bring out any for us. We complained about being told they had no bread but the waiter never apologized. The meal didn't even come with salad. We had to order salad separate. The owner was in the restaurant and actually sitting near the bar and didn't address the issue with the bread. Another young lady came over and apologized. Our waitress was really nice and provided very good service however, the waiter who gave us the whole song and dance about the bread was a nitwit. The owner didn't even wanna turn the volume up for the football game. He reluctantly turned it up just a tad and his team turned it up a tad more so we can hear it. Got a really funny feeling about being in that restaurant from the owner. We'll never go back. we left a tip for the waitress. Why should she suffer because she's stuck between a nitwit and a restaurant owner that gives off bad vibes. read more
