This is a pretty solid place that I'd highly recommend to anyone wanting a good burger and friendly service. My daughter ordered a regular cheeseburger meal and I just ordered a cheeseburger. No fries or soda for me bc I'm watching my figure . Well, they knew that I was lying to myself, them, and my daughter and was kind enough to give extra fries and split it between our food baskets lol. I have no complaints about the food! Not a single one. Everything was well proportioned, seasoned, and cooked to perfection. No notes. The inside is pretty clean, casual, and standard. Enough seating to be comfortable and move around without knocking other patrons in the head with your belly. My coworker and I were out in the field and it was about that time to eat, so we met up at Little J's on our way back to the office. Service was just how I like it, EXCELLENT!! From the, hello hold on ma'am I'll be right with you, to the chef cutting the chopped cheese in half and giving us our own baskets because we shared it. Then both Oscar and the chef checked on us to make sure everything was A-OK & it was! Let's talk about that chopped cheese tho... Say it with me "Fla Vor Full" with just the right amount of everything, from the meat, to the cheese, grilled onions, and jalapeño peppers, uh uh uh! I wish I could insert the drool emoji. I saw this new place pop on my Reel and decided to check it out. I had rolled in for an early Snack before Dinner. Guy behind the counter was super nice and I had ordered a Chicken Philly for there. I only ate 1/2 of it but took the rest Togo. I liked the Soft French roll it was served on and the Onion to Meat portion was well balanced. I did not get Mayo but had them put Mustard instead. Would definitely want to try more of their Burger and Beer items. Very low key place and plenty of parking making it easily accessible. read more

I am so happy that a second location opened for Little Js. I used to frequent their Pittsburg location when I worked out that way. I attempted to place a phone to go order but when there wasnt an answer (they did call back) I placed a takeout/pickup order through their doordash. I got the tri tip sandwich as a basket so it came with fries and a canned soda. Also opted for a side of fry sauce. The tri tip sandwich was so good, a decent amount of tender tri tip and fresh veggies. The bread is very soft but holds up perfectly to the sauce and warmth of a warm sandwich. Fries were perfectly fried, soft on the inside but crunch on the outside. I really enjoyed the fry sauce, it had an unexpected spice to it which was really nice. The place wasnt busy when I got there but I was greeted instantly and my food was ready to go upon arrival. This will be a frequent lunch spot for me for a good sandwich and fries. read more

Tough location but ample parking is a plus! The Western Burger was very delicious. Meat was tender, topping were tasty, the bacon was superb. The tri tip sandwich had a nice flavor, Meat was tender, toast could have been done on the grill with some butter rather than a toaster so the bread was a bit dry. The fries were awesome and the side of fry sauce was full of flavor. The owner of the restaurant is very motivated to do a good job and that came through in his service. Very friendly, good laugh, and is trying very hard. We had a nice conversation about the location, how he prepped the meats, and our overall experience. Five stars for the customer service alone. I went in and the guy there was ready to answer all my questions. I asked for some suggestions and ended up getting a turkey burger. The burger seemed like the kind you'd grab from the freezer, but it was seasoned and wasn't bland. I also was able to get cheddar cheese on it. The fries were not your regular run-of-the-mill generic ones. They were a little bit crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Next time I hope to get the French dip and also get my husband some of their jalapeño poppers. I liked their small bar area too and they have a few tables and chairs inside. read more

Chopped Cheese for the win!! We wanted to go out and support Little J's in Concord, we're already fans of the Pittsburg one. The Concord location is great, with lots of parking. The inside of the restaurant is clean, has some cool art on the walls and cute comics on the tables. We ordered a chopped cheese with fries, the dinner with cod, shrimp, hushpuppies, and coleslaw as well as some cajun wings. The chopped cheese had mushrooms and jalapeños (not super spicy) and was on a sourdough roll. The fried shrimp and cod were delicious. The wings were nicely fried with a cajun rub. It was not super busy in there, but looks like they do a lot of doordash. It was perfect for a Friday night. Oh and they have beers on tap! I had the french dip, which cost $17.01 (after tax). Expensive, but I love french dip sandwiches. Unfortunately this one has to be the worst I've ever had. Look at my picture and tell me there would be a single person who would be impressed at that $17 sandwich? The tri tip was so dry and hard, and zero seasonings or flavor. The sandwich has zero condiments, no caramelized onion, no condiments (love some horseradish). The au jus did not taste like au jus, tasted very diluted and watery. Its very rare that I throw away food, but I only ate half, and then part way through chewing the 2nd half, I just spit it out. I've attached a video to try to demonstrate just how tough the tri tip was. Service was nice, but there is no way I'm coming back for another $17 sandwich like that. Yikes. read more

I walk in the and I hear, " Welcome in." Already to a great start as it was my first time at Little J's. The restaurant has plenty of tables to sit on. It was cool to see newspaper cartoon strips as the table covers. Place was clean. The music that was playing was chill. Perfect for evening time when it's time to decompress from the day. There are two tv's one which was playing sports. The other music. Sing, was the man who took my order. He was extremely nice and answered any question I had. I had a few since it was my first time there. When I was eating he came to check on me as well. I ordered a double patty burger. Just the burger. I did see they had a wide variety of drinks. Including Faygo grape soda and strawberry soda, which is quite rare! The burger pattie's were perfectly cooked. Plenty of sauce, it wasn't dry at all! I will say the top bun was falling apart. I know from experience of buying burger buns with no high fructose corn syrup. This bread was right because it was falling apart. I ate the entire burger. Usually I remove the bread. This burger is better than In-N-out. I plan on coming back to taste their Cajun Spicy chicken sandwich. The only reason they did not get 5 stars from me is because I didn't need to use the bathroom so I can't say how that part of the experience was. I definitely recommend coming to this place if you want a delicious burger. FYI I spent about $15 for my double patty burger. read more

A great little hole-in-the-wall place. We were out in the area at Hobby Lobby and was looking for lunch. Went on Yelp, of course, and seen the good reviews from the people. Went in and it has a little bar with a few beers on tap. Looks like they have a few wines too. Guy that greeted us was super friendly. My wife ordered the fish sandwich and liked it! So we decided to try out Little J's where moving licked our butts and cooking was out of the question. The service was fast and friendly, normal burger joint vibe. The food....well they def followed requests, so for that A+, but disappointment can't over us when we took a bite into a $18 burger to find that the Pattie's aren't hand made...they are frozen patties and the texture, dryness and shape don't lie. The poppers weren't great. Now the garlic fries and onion rings were terrific. I want so badly to give 5 stars, but the use of frozen patties just can't be undone. I'm not going to say I'll never return, but I hope they consider hand making their patties in the future to give them that old school juicy burger that we all love. read more

From the start I was blown away. I placed an order on DoorDash and realized I messed up. When I called to see if I could correct it I was told that it would be no problem and he even offered to upgrade my fries. I told him no because it was clearly my mistake and proceeded to wait for my order.....a few minutes later.... Not only was it still hot when I got it. It was mad delicious blew my mind again!! It hit me heavy in my heart to have little jays here in my hometown , concord. My parents both have passed lived in pittsburg near the original location where we enjoyed the best trip sandwiches there. To my knowledge, little J got started in 2002, not sure if that's accurate , but It make sense as far as the timeline of my memory. This location has great energy, personal in private, good energy.And a lot of inspirational things on the walls. The staff is so sweet and kind and they like making it a fun experience. But the real deal is Their food has not skipped a beat. And they also had booths at the Pittsburg seafood festival.
