Yum! What a fun little macaron shop. They have great presentation (all the macarons are under a layer of glass on their counter, and pulled out like a drawer when customers order them). $2.16 per macaron after tax, or get a box of 6 or 12 for slightly discounted prices. I ordered one Dark Chocolate macaron, and while I would have loved a place to sit, the little storefront was so tiny (and crowded with folks waiting to order their yummy macarons!) that I had to take my macaron to go. The macaron itself was delectable, rich and chocolatey and gooey. The woman who sold it to me told me it would taste like a brownie, and she was right. I will certainly be back to try more flavors. read more

This cute shop is a must if your in bishop arts. The macrons are savory. The outer layer is crisp but inside very soft and delicious. My favorite is raspberry. The shop very cute and clean. Employees are kind. The Macarons are displayed simple in a glass case. Be prepared to pay. They are not cheap. But worth the taste!!! read more

Macaroons, in my opinion, are always overpriced. While that's true for this place as well, there is a large selection of flavors to choose from which makes the experience super fun. You're almost tempted to buy more just so you can try more! I recommend getting the pistachio, Italian cream and salted caramel macaroons. The ice cream sammy's are also worth trying at least once. read more

I had to parallel park for this which I'm not great at but it was worth it lol. The shop is pretty cute inside but not really meant for sitting and eating. There was 3 stools next to the register I remember. The lady at the front was really nice and patient with me on choosing flavors too, there were so many! I got 6 different flavors for around $13. Its pricey but what macaroon place isnt lol. Tried 3 of them so far and like it a lot. I can appreciate how nice the texture of their cookies are and the creams are good too. My favorite so far is the rose and lychee one. Overall I'd come back if I'm in the area! read more

Joy Macarons - I have been trying to check this place out since, On New years eve I had a chance to try them .I got the peppermint - Macarons Near Me - Dallas, Texas

I would only go to this place for the interesting macaron flavors, but that's it. Although I'm not a fan of eating anything that tastes like flowers, the rose and lychee was a good combination. The black currant and violet, as well as the honey and lavender, did not disappoint either. One flavor I could do without, however... their Flavor of the Month: strawberry and jalapeño. But what's really stopping me from going back to this place happened the moment I walked through the door. I did NOT feel welcomed at all. If I could describe with one word the person who was helping me pick out macaron flavors, it would be RELUCTANT. Just when I've been waiting months to check out Joy Macarons, it turns out to be a big letdown. read more

EXCELLLLLLENT!!!! I came here wanting some comfort goodies, and boy was I in for a treat! Their salted caramel macarons are hands down the best, in terms of flavor, freshness, and consistency, that I've ever had! The flavors are unique and so you'll find yourself picking out Dark Chocolate, Pistachio, Rose & Lychee - I've yet to find a flavor I wasn't overly keen of. Liz, the owner, is an absolute gem. I had the pleasure of meeting her last week, and I can safely say it takes a great person to produce an awesome product and business - and once you meet Liz, you will easily see why she is so successful! read more

AMAZING! I love all their flavors except the purple one. Friendly staff and very clean. Haven't tried their ice cream but looks delicious. Best macaroons I've ever had! read more

Delicious. The honey lavender is addictive. And the ginger peach macaron ice cream sandwich literally made me happy eating it. Customer service was also great. The storefront is small...there are maybe 4 seats at the front counter to post up and enjoy your treats, which lucky for us...all were empty so we were able to cool off and I was able to sample a macaron before walking back toward the main strip. I would frequent here often if only it were closer to home (and if only I had unlimited income...these are truly "treats" with regard to price point). Do give them a whirl. read more

Delicious! Highly recommend the Jasmine Green Tea ice cream Sammie. Perfect for the summer. Can't go wrong in my opinion with green tea. I hope they add it to their permanent everyday menu b/c it taste like vacation! read more

What's not to like? Super delicious macaron ice cream sandwich. Blueberry Lemon to be exact. The ice cream had blueberry pieces/filling and the cookie was nicely crunchy & chewy; just how a macaron should be! The lady serving us was cheerful and helpful in helping decide what other cookies to purchase. All in all a pleasant and tasty experience. What are you waiting for?! read more

Hands down the BEST macarons in DFW as far as I'm concerned. Delicious, fresh macarons every time in a variety of classic and unique flavors. This has become one of my favorite macarons places. I only know of 3 in the Dallas area and this one by far is my favorite. My only wish is that I wish it wasn't so far away but then again its probably a good thing it's far. We came on a warm sunny Saturday and we parked in the back and walked in from that back which is pretty cool have 2 entrance and you are greet by a somewhat glass open kitchen that looks very chic. The shop itself is super cute and makes you happy when you are here. The worker there was really nice in helpful. Now down to the best part the french macarons. After the first bite I was hooked let me tell you. The macrons are chewy and soft and the shells aren't overly sweet. The filling is actually ganache which I thought was very interesting and with it being ganache I fell like you can taste the flavor so much more. My all time favorite flavor is Honey Lavender which taste exactly how it sounds. Just typing that makes me crave more Joy macarons. They also have ice cream sandwich macarons which I thought was a very neat considering that other places I know don't do macarons ice cream sandwiches. Cereal Milk is my favorite and perfect for a warm Saturday like this. Pricing wise it was to bad, I did think it was a little to much but It does make sense and I do see why it is what it is. Single mac $2.20 Half Dozen $13 Dozen $25 (I think) I can't wait to be back! read more

The first official macaron store in Dallas that sells A LOT of macarons. I was so happy! First trip I just got macarons - a box of 6 priced at $12.99 I believe. The macarons were delicious but nothing super special (I was an addict and visited almost all stores in Houston). A plus is not insane amount of filling! I love how colorful they are also! My second trip was exclusively for the macaron ice cream sandwiches. We got to try the chocolate sage & ube. The ube was a bright purple color which was fun to eat! Each bite, the macaron stayed intact. This was not the case for the chocolate sage. I was expecting chocolate but was surprised it was a white sandwich. Turns out they meant chocolate chip. The sage wasn't very pleasant for me, I didn't think the combo went well together. Also, my macaron buns were very crunchy - potentially a sign that they were freshly/recently baked. Most stores in Houston (that I can remember) sold 2 day old macarons because you're suppose to let them age. I didn't like the crunch at all! And another sign the macaron sandwich was too "fresh" was the ice cream kept slipping out of the sandwich with every bite aka not frozen enough. It was a mess! Priced at nearly $6, it seems a lot, but that's equivalent to three macarons which are a lot tinier! Overall, finally Dallas has a decent macaron place opened! I will continue to visit occasionally (thank god my addiction phase is over!). One thing I noticed both visits though is that the workers aren't welcoming. I'm not one to care about service, but it makes it feel a little awkward. My friends and sister mentioned the same thing. read more

This place is darling! Atmosphere is clean, chic and crisp everything you would expect to coincide with a macaron place. The staff was very informative and pleasing to work with. Macarons are reasonably priced! 1/2 dozen is $13. It may seem expensive but they're so difficult to make, they're practically art! They're also very good! The texture was the same as a macaron I had at the Plaza in NYC so 10/10 would recommend. This location is in the Bishop Arts District of Oak Cliff. Definitely worth spending a day walking around the area and stopping here! I can't wait to come back! :) read more

I tried Honey & Lavender, Almond, Rose & Lychee, Violet & Black Currant, Coconut, Raspberry, Pistachio, and Hazelnut. My favorites are the Violet & Black Currant, Rose & Lychee, and Coconut. Some of the flavors were stale, and definitely took away from enjoying them. Other than that, they taste really good! I would recommend popping by for a sweet treat. The bakery itself is a little hard to find, and parking is annoying. Once you're inside, it's so modern and cute. Love it! read more

Walked over to Joy Macarons after brunch. I walked in and immediately thought to myself what a cute stop with a vibrant macaron selection! I got the 6 pack for $12, decently priced and in range with macarons I've had from other shops. I got the pistachio, almond, rose and lychee, chocolate chip, vanilla bean and italian cream. I appreciated the variety of flavors but I would say the all but the rose and lychee, pistachio and almond flavors were a disappointment. Although the taste wasn't up to par the texture definitely was! read more

The hubs and i Loved their cereal macroon ice cream sandwich! So worth the drive to their cute little store!

I try to come to the location off of Greenville whenever I am there! Absolutely love them. Worth every penny.

I could not believe how fresh, basically just out of the oven and set to cool for minute. I was NOT a fan of Macaroons, but was one of the must-try places in Dallas. Thanks to JOY, I can now say I like macaroons. Although it is going to be tough to find anything better. Does that make me a "Mac-a-rooy" connoisseur aka a "Maca-Rooy" snob!?! YAAASSS! I will forever have a JOYful palate and nothing less! Fav = pistachio Looking forward to having an Ice Cream Sammy!!! read more

Ugh, I love this place. I really do. Most recently I had their seasonal bourbon pumpkin macaron, honey lavender, vanilla, almond, violet and black currant, and Irish cream. Violet and black currant was my favorite, but I was amazed that you could really taste the honey in the honey lavender. They do a great job at showcasing each flavor while not being too overpowering; there's a great balance. And the tops are so smooth, which means they take care when sifting the almond flour! They have always been so warm and welcoming when I have visited. I also love that you can watch them bake through the windows on slower days. read more

I'd never had a macaron before, but every one I've tried at Joy has been excellent. I love them all. $2/macaron is a little more than I'd expect, but maybe that's a good thing because I'd buy a dozen every week if they were $1 each. Everyone who works there is very nice. Also, they make the best ice cream sandwich I've ever had. It's about the diameter of a softball, with at least an inch of ice cream in the middle. The "bun" is made of giant macaron "buns". Seriously, best I've ever had. read more

Joy Macaroons is in a really cool part of Dallas in my opinion. Right when you walk in, you can see everything they're doing and I enjoy that. Perhaps I just hit this place on the wrong day. I would like to preface my comments with this - I am a huge lover of macarons. I have traveled far and wide to taste the likes of Pierre Herme, Laduree, etc. and bake my own at home. These were extremely lack-luster. The texture was COMPLETELY off. The shell should be crisp and delicate on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The macarons I got were all around one texture that was chewy and borderline hard or stale. I tried 7 macarons. Some of them were better than others. I ran into some so stale (on the day I purchased them) I had to throw them out. read more
