10/10 recommend. Awesome ice cream sandwiches--not too much cookie, good amount of ice cream, even in 85 degree weather it didn't melt and wasn't messy, very satisfied. My sister and brother-in-law got the cinnamon macaroon ice cream sandwich and I got the cereal milk one, all were very delicious. Also got the 12 pack of macaroons to try all the flavors. Worker was helpful and nice. Easy in n out experience here. read more

As I was going to the Kessler Theatre for a concert, I thought it only fit to try out the best food around the area. And, seeing as how I love macarons, this little gem seemed perfect for me. When I went in, the cashier told us all about what they had, and there was a whole section in the back where you could see the macarons being made by the bakers! It was really cool to watch, and gave me something to see while I was eating. I got the snickerdoodle macaron ice cream sandwich, and I was really happy with it. I expected the macaron to be hard, and the ice cream to be extremely cold and tough, however, the opposite seemed to be the case. When I bit into it, everything was nice and soft, making it the perfect texture. How they made this happen without the ice cream melting everywhere, I don't know, but hey, I'm not complaining! I definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for a yummy dessert after dinner, or if you're just craving something sweet and you're in the area! Would definitely recommend, both for the macarons and the experience! read more

It's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. The macarons are delicious, soft, tender, and chewy. I'm a fan. I hope that they continue making the ice cream sandwiches out of them since I've never seen it anywhere else. read more

Just bought Joy Macaroons and they were delicious, and delivery was fast and efficient

By far the best macarons I have had in Dallas. All the flavors are quite prominent but not too over bearing. The ice cream macaron sandwiches are really good as well. I have tried the green tea jasmine and vanilla bean. I seriously come here once a month to satisfy my sweet tooth. read more

OK if you like these then you've never had them in NYC. These are just pure sugar. That's it. Just pretty sugar. No JOY was found here for me read more

Let me first state that I am not normally a macaron fan. I either have had bad ones in the paste, or my taste buds have changed in the years since I last tasted them. You ask then why did I go to a store dedicated to a product I'm not a fan of? I have heard great things about this store from friends who have had nothing but great things to say about not only macaroons in general, but also about this store. I have tried the dark chocolate, and the almond, and I have a raspberry left to try that I am saving. First about the almond. I got this for my wife, and it wasn't my favorite flavor, but as far a texture, it was everything I ever expected a macaron should be, but never was. Now to the dark chocolate. I hate you Joy Macarons. I will probably never taste dark chocolate like this ever again. As a self confessed chocoholic, it was great. So why only 4 stars? Price. I am not a chef, but I have several as friends that are, so I know the work that goes into making Macarons, but I still have a hard time with a $2 per cookie price. I wish they were either a little larger, or $1.50 each. Other then that I will most definitely have to make a return trip. PS, regarding the other reviews I have read regarding bad service, did I have the best service I have ever had, no. But by no means was it what I would consider bad. read more

I used to love coming here for their homemade macaron ice cream sandwiches but lately I've been pretty let down with the flavor aspect. Upon my last visit, I got the peaches n' cream and tigers blood ice cream sandwiches. I love, love, love peaches and tigers blood is my favorite snow cone flavor so I was pretty excited about trying these but I was severely disappointed and shocked with how bland they both were. I understand that sorbets are naturally supposed to be light but in all honesty, I was only eating it because 1) I had driven here all the way from Richardson, 2) I didn't want to waste my money and 3) the weather was really hot and it was the only thing that cooled me down. I tried the chai flavor back when they offered it for the holiday season but it was wayyy overdone with the spices (too much cardamom or clove?) and practically had no sugar. To me, my favorite part of the macaron ice cream sandwich is the macaron and it's always a hit or miss here. Sometimes they are chewy and perfect and oftentimes they are hard. I really hope they can perfect their recipes and consistency because I would love to keep coming back here. read more

Joy Macarons - Tigers blood and peaches n' cream macaron ice cream sandwiches. - Macarons Near Me - Dallas, Texas

I was in the area to go to a coffee shop with my friend to study and he decided to take me to Joy Macarons because he thought very highly of this macaron shop. At first I was hesitant because in the past I never liked the texture of macarons, but I decided to give it a try since he liked them. The parking around the area is limited and you have to parallel park on this street. Luckily, we found a spot right in front of the store. When you walk in the decor is very simplistic with an industrial vibe. They display the macarons in a glass container in an arrangement that looks like a rainbow and have many flavors. They even have seasonal flavors that are not on the regular menu which they tell you about. What we were there to try was the ice cream macarons that were priced at $6. You also have to ask for the flavors of the ice cream macarons as they only have a select assortment each day so it varies. I thought that wasn't too bad since they were the size of my hand. The flavors of ice cream macarons they had that day were green tea and jasmine, blueberry lemon, cinnamon swirl, bananas foster, and others that I can't remember at the moment. My friend and I both decided to get the green tea and jasmine macaron ice cream. To our surprise, we were the first customers to try the green tea and jasmine macaron ice cream sandwiches. Cat, the worker that helped us was very kind and helpful that we stayed to give her a little insight on what we thought about the green tea and jasmine macaron. She was very knowledgeable about the macaron process and was very easy to converse with. The green tea and jasmine macaron changed my perspective about macarons. The macarons I've tried before were always hard, crunchy and even had a stale texture to them. The macaron cookie here was crispy on the outside, but had a pillowy inside that was soft. The ice cream had a great green tea flavor to it that didn't taste like dirt which I've tasted before at other places. Cat also allowed us to try the lemon regular macarons because there were 2 broken ones they could not sell. These were the regular small macarons with no ice cream inside it. The lemon macarons didn't have an overbearing flavor of lemon and the macaron wasn't hard at all which I learned there are two ways to make macarons from Cat. Overall, this place is in a thriving area surrounded by other businesses. The workers are nice and we even had the opportunity to help them advertise their business on instagram by helping them photograph their macarons because we liked them that much and my friend has an eye for photography. I can't wait to go back and try the other flavors! read more

YUM-MO. Once I found out about this place, right at the beginning of summer, I totally gave up on caring about looking good in my swimsuit. And NOW these ice cream sandwich concoctions... Y'all. Just go. Go every single day. Life is too short to live without these tiny treasures. read more

Macarons are a delicate, complicated piece of culinary art. One must fully appreciate this before they can fully appreciate the goodness of a quality macaron. I had bookmarked this place months ago because I had been craving a good macaron experience. I've watched several Gordon Ramsey shows where he has gone nuts on people who don't make them right, so I wanted to see what the big deal was. I had spent the evening visiting family in Oak Cliff and decided to drop by since I was in the area. So I took my mom and aunt with me. We were all thoroughly impressed with the quality, varieties and customer service. The butter pecan was our absolute favorite. My second fave was the pumpkin spice one which has a roasted pumpkin seed atop. I would have preferred it to be topped with a few more instead of one, but it was delicious as well. Will definitely be going back in the near future. Cookies are $2 each, but well worth it when you consider how much goes into making them. Kudos to this business. I hope they are long standing in the community read more

I've been looking for my macaron spot since moving to Dallas a few months ago and I have found it! I love this place. They have a great variety of macaron flavors and the macaron ice cream sandwiches are super yummy! Also the staff is friendly and helpful, especially for me since I am allergic to all nuts except for almonds. I will be frequently visiting this place every time my macaron craving hits! read more

These macarons are absolutely delicious, and the coffee they serve is a perfect pairing. Sweet owner and crew, love this place!

When I was in the Navy back in the 70's I was in France and I had my first Macaroon. I was in love with the macaroon. I came back to Dallas and could not a good Macaroon. I was watching TCR on TV and learned the Joy Macarons was in oak cliff. Their Macaroons are what I been looking for. read more

The Macaroons are great. Love the ice creams. You can tell all the ice cream is made in house. The cookies are good. Just enough tooth when you bite in that the cookie doesn't crumble to pieces, while still being light. Some of the best macarons that i have had. Love that there is always a reason to go and visit since there are seasonal flavors and ice creams to try with the standard favorites, number 1 being the salted caramel. The service is also always good. They are always nice and helpful when i show up. read more

I enjoy the macaroons here, however when I placed an order for a 5 tier tower, I was told the price was $135. When I sent someone to pick up my order they were charged $235 with no explanation. I called and was told that the $100 extra charge was for the plastic tower that needed to be returned in order to receive the deposit back. The issue with this is that when I first called to place the order, I was not explained the $100 charge deposit and when it was picked up they didn't explain the charge deposit and requirements. So moving forward, please make sure that you ask all the right questions and get all your information... or you might be throwing away $100 extra dollars for a plastic tier tower. read more

These are definitely the best macarons I've ever had in my life. A large variety of flavors to choose from and the taste is simply exceptional. VERY FRESH. Naturally gluten free as well! Also, their store layout is fabulous with a cool glass wall where you can watch the macarons being prepared. Very hip and cool vibe. Team members were extremely friendly. An exceptional dessert or great as an unusual gift. Recommend these guys without hesitation! read more

Amazing flavors, perfect confections, friendly service, cute shop in Oak Cliff (where you can watch macarons and ice cream being created by happy bakers), lovely packaging is the finishing touch. It's a delight to try every flavor, new ones each month. The ice cream macaron sandwiches are a fabulous treat! My favorite ice cream is the mint which is made with fresh mint leaves, and the floral and fruity macarons consistently "Wow!" my tastebuds. I've had macarons in multiple cities across America and I can pretty confidently say these are the best I've ever had. I have been to Joy multiple times and will keep coming back anytime I'm in Dallas. The macarons here are so fresh and the flavors taste exactly how you would want and expect them to. There's also such a cool variety to choose from. The staff is so pleasant and totally okay with you standing there for 15 minutes , with a blank look, trying to decide what you want. because, trust me, you will want ALL the flavors. I even love the box these things come in, so cute and a great gift. read more

These macarons are probably the best I've ever had! Perfectly airy yet still dense. All of the flavors we had were addicting. Hazelnut was definitely my personal favorite. Our team ordered many dozens for our holiday party and they disappeared within a few minutes. Definitely check this place out if you are ever in Dallas or Bishop Arts District! read more

Pricey, but worth it once in awhile for a treat. Highly recommend the lemon Fleur de Sel, almond, honey & lavender, and their limited edition flavor, strawberry elderflower & olive oil. read more

I would really give this place 3 1/2 stars because nothing blew me away, but I'll round up for all the options they had. I got 6 macarons: Honey Lavender (favorite) Almond Pumpkin something (rum?) Chocolate chip Butter pecan Salted caramel The macarons were a little more crunchier than I prefer.. The fillings in almost all of them were just slightly on the sweeter side (but then again my favorite was the honey lavender which was really subtle in flavor, so maybe that's just me..?) $2 per [] has been the cheapest of macaron places I've been to so that's nice in comparison. Nothing really stood out to me, but nothing was disappointing either. It's an above average place, but I wouldn't say go out of your way. It still deserves the ~4 stars though because it's "faults" are very very minor. read more

Best macarons I've tried in Dallas! Perfect crunchy outside and creamy inside with real tasting flavors. Rose Lychee and Salted Caramel were my favorites. Sizing was a little inconsistent, and I'd avoid the Violet flavor, but overall I'm so happy that we have a good macaron shop here now! read more

A truly unique storefront and a great addition to the neighborhood, Joy showcases a really impressive selection of the hotest thing-that-is-too-complex-to-call-a-cookie. Macarons, as any macaron expert will tell you, are very complicated, labor-intensive, and require almond flour (apparently a semi-precious metal or something), so as a result you can't really find these on the cheap. Because discount macarons aren't really a thing, you have to be comfortable with the price and the knowledge that you are enjoying a delicacy that requires a skilled hand at the helm. Luckily, Joy delivers on that front. read more

Delicious! We got a dozen assorted for 26 dollars; a little expensive, but macarons are just pricey. Would go again!

Delicious ice cream sandwiches - try the cinnamon sugar. Great little shop, super friendly and lots of flavors to choose from.

I love love macaroon! My favorite would be Vanilla beans, pistachio, butter pecan, and cookie and cream. Can't get enough of it

Amazingly fresh! My dad ate an ice cream sandwich, which they make the ice cream in house. It was fresh and rich and yummy. I tried the raspberry macarons, because I heard they make the raspberry jam that goes in the macaron. I could have eaten a dozen they were so amazing! Friendly staff, fresh and light atmosphere. Definitely returning. Also they were making macarons for wedding treats and what an amazing idea. Joy Macarons - I am very picky about the taste of these pastries and Joy has always been great to me. Pistachio flavor is the best! - Macarons Near Me - Dallas, Texas

Joy macarons completley ruined my daughters 5th birthday! We submitted a photo of a type of macaron we wanted and the theme. The sent over an email of flavors they recommended and we responded that we thought those we be great as long as they went with thr image we sent. We immediately received and invoice for the cost and paid it a week and a half ago. My wofe shkwed up today (24hrs before the birthday party) and the tower was nothing like the image. In fact all they did was make a tower with rsndom flavors and no effort towards making it look like the image. When my wife asked what happened she was told and accused of assuming thst we coukd do the image and that it was impossible unless we paid more. Now mind you that my daughter whos birthday is today was with her. She went back and fourth with Jason and he offered no solutions and refunded the money and sent her on her way with a dozen macarons. My wife who is not very confrontational called me upset because not only does she have food allergies so does my daughter has a party tomorrow with no cake and my daughter is super upset. So i call and speak to jason myself and he has no.remorse no apology in fact is on the defensive and snickering during or conversation and tells me thst it was my fault for assuming the cake woukd be anywhere close to the picture. He then said he didnt know what i wanted and that my dsughter was only 5 amd wouldnt know the difference anyways and that i should kust get her whatever. After a few more minutes of back and fourth and Jason continuously blaming me and disrespecring myself and my wofe and saying she absokutley was out of line for expecting tge picture he hung up the phone on me. I have never in my life dealt with such lack of respect for its customers and the failure to take ownership is astonishing. I woukd never recommend them to anyone not even a rotting corpse in a casket. The fact that this place has customers is astounding and i can assure you your money is not appreciated or respected in their establishment! read more

I purchased Joy Macarons for my team of 60 people. We tried all the flavors available. In one word.. AWESOME!!! They were all truly delicious and received rave reviews from my entire team. It's great to find a place like this, with someone soo kind running the place. The macaroons were in wide selection of flavors, and were extremely delicious. Wish there was just a larger sign to help spot the place. read more

The macarons are delish! I really love the black current violet and the rose lychee. I've been here 7 times almost each time the macarons were tastefully flawless. However at least twice I have been and certain flavors I selected were more crispy and chewy a bit more harder than I desire. NOW TO THE BOX! Well I don't like fighting with the packaging when my mouth is watering in anticipation for the macarons. The box is so tight it is hard to pull open. I hope the company changes that soon I realize with being new they are still figuring out what works and what doesn't. I am an Oak Cliffer and very excited that JOY is here. I really think the business will do great in this developing area! read more

Hands down, the best macarons in Dallas and dare I say, possibly the entire state of Texas. Joy Macarons is not only a darling boutique bakery in its own right, but the product matches the standards one would expect upon stumbling across this gem in Oak Cliff. The flavors are delicious and creative; the macarons made fresh daily; the staff delightful and the presentation almost too beautiful to eat. Don't be fooled by imposters (I'm looking at you, Bolsa), these macarons are the real deal. A great addition to Oak Cliff and my belly as well. read more
