Food was spectacular, service was excellent. The only issue I ran into is you need a reservation for a weekday lunch.

My friends and I decided on a random Saturday morning that we wanted to go out for lunch, and luckily we were able to get a table. But I've heard that it can get pretty difficult to get a reservation here. I know the fries are for sharing, but I ended up just getting one for myself hehe. Can't really go wrong with truffle parmesan fries, although these were chewier than I would have liked. Because I already splurged my stomach space on the fries, I opted for a salad...the burrata salad, so I don't know if this particular salad was any healthier than the other food choices or not. The creaminess of the burrata balanced well with the peppery arugula, the crunchy pistachios and pomegranate seeds, and the tart red wine glaze. For dessert I opted for the flourless chocolate cake with warm peanut butter drizzle on the top. It was my only meal of the day, but it was definitely worth it. This would be a good place for bringing guests from out of town, or for a nice dinner date! read more

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our food at Josie's Table, we had no complaints! The waitstaff was friendly and knew the right balance of checking up on us and giving us space, the atmosphere was comfortable and chic. I can personally recommend the Mushroom Pappardelle entree, the Local Bread app and the Maple Brussel Sprouts app. The other orders included a Wedge salad, Eggplant Meatless Meatballs and the Ricotta Tortelloni. My friend and I frequently visit new restaurants and I have to say this was one of the best meals I've ever had. The service was amazing, good value and the atmosphere was beautiful. I love the modern neutral color pallet. We started with oysters and the Spicy Paloma(waitress recommendation) and the Lavender Martini(house favorite.) All spectacular. For our entrees with went with the burger, cooked perfectly medium with truffles fries and the salmon special. I'm still drooling over the scallops a day later. My friend gave me a gift card for Josie's Table and even though we live in walking distance, we had never been there before. Half way through my dinner I was actually mad at myself for having missed out on this fantastic restaurant up until now. We had a reservation for a date night and we enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere and service is excellent. The pimento cheese appetizer was delicious. I loved the non-alcoholic drink selection and enjoyed the jalapeño lemonade - a nice grownup n/a choice. My husband ordered the special pizza and he said that the chicken was tender and it had a nice garlicky flavor. The kilcoyne farm's beef burger I had was phenomenal. I loved it so much. I went for the truffle fries - I probably could have gotten the regular ones but they were good. We also had a flourless chocolate cake for dessert which was yummy. I didn't get the peanut butter flavor because the chocolate overpowered it but a good finish to the meal with some tasty fresh decaf coffee. Now this is going to be our first choice for a nice dinner in the neighborhood. Very excited for the next time! My only complaint was that we were early so we tried to grab a drink at the bar for the wait and they didn't appear to have a bartender and nobody came over to get us anything but that's okay we didn't need a drink. read more

Go for lunch! Great vibe and really nice staff. The hot chicken sandwich is a great adaptation of something you'd get down south. Awesome! Salads are really great and if you need a little comfort on a snowy day, get the grilled cheese and tomato bisque. Truffle Parmesan fries hit the spot. Worth an extra workout on the treadmill. Oh, and try the Jalapeño Lemonade (because you have to go back to work). read more

we were in town so i checked yelp for places to eat lunch. picked this restaurant to try. the ambiance is cozy, they have outdoor sitting. our server was very attentive. now lets talk about the food. we only had the burgers, flavor was there, they were good but it came out tepid. the french fries came out steaming hot. one beer and 2 burgers our bill was $60 not including tip. well i hope the cold food is a one off. read more

At best average and very expensive. Drinks are insanely expensive and miniature in size for the price. Food is good but nothing to write home about. Staff is very pretentious INHO. I loved the food, ambiance and service at Josie's table! One of the best places I've been to in the Capital District and Saratoga. We had the Truffle Parmesan fries and Burata as appetizers. My girls had the mushroom pappardelle and the seared tuna special. They were delicious. I had the short ribs which we all shared. My girls are not fond of polenta but I thought it paired well with the short ribs and not over seasoned. We didn't have dessert because we were stuffed. My husband and I went there yesterday for lunch. It was getting busy, but they still had some seats at the bar. I had the Butternut Squash Bisque that was heavenly! I also had the Autumn Salad, which was full of fruit and small slices of squash and candied nuts. It was fantastic from start to finish. Mia was our waitress, hostess, bartender! She did an excellent job taking care of us and making sure our food was served promptly and to our satisfaction. To my surprise and delight, they accidentally sent 2 orders of the bisque and put it in a to-go cup for me at no charge! I would highly recommend Josie's Table, but be safe and make a reservation. I call this review "A Sumptuous Alfresco Lunch on the Terrace at Josie's Table." Yesterday, I had a wonderful lunch, outside of course, at you guessed it ,JT. So please cue the horns. Here we go! This has been such a lovely summer, and now, let's talk about my lunch. Started with a crisp chardonnay with a little bit of ice. It tasted like nectar of the Gods. Now for the" piece de resistance." The salad consisted of mixed greens, cranberries, goat cheese pumpkin seeds, glazed walnuts and grilled chicken. I savored every morsel, and nearly licked the plate clean. Just kidding. Just relaxing and enjoying the scenery. Thinking about a light dessert. No heavy cheesecake. I opted for the raspberry and mango sorbet. Absolutely the best dessert ever! My only regret is that I didn't take a picture of this masterpiece. I had reached culinary "nirvana." Wonderful servers, like Mia, who took great care of me, and Sydney. Outstanding on all levels. We sat at the bar, had a few questions which were easily answered. My first ever Espresso Martini was great as was both our meals. I must give a special shout out to the French fries, best I've had in years. My wife is a grilled cheese with tomato soup lover and was thrilled with her choice. The food was spectacular and the service was top notch on a busy Tuesday night. Drea our waitress was friendly and attentive. Josie's table was absolutely delicious! We started with the Brussel sprout appetizer and I could have eaten just that all night long. The goat cheese was completely different and was an awesome addition to the dish. There was three of us and we all ordered the swordfish special. The plate was beautiful. We all ate every bite of it. It should truly be a regular item on the menu. For dessert we had the flourless chocolate cake. It was the perfect ending to a perfect meal. We will absolutely be back!! read more

We loved the restaurant that used to be in this spot- Provence- and we've fallen in love with the new iteration- Josie's Table. The location - conveniently among the Stuyvesant Plaza shopping center offerings (that means, parking is a non-issue.) One thing we loved about the space was the beautiful, long bar for which the facing wall is a large, vintage mirror. It gives the space such an old world feel - but with the new design, it also is modern. That bar has always been a great place for a cocktail - after work, meeting a friend, for a romantic tête-à-tête, etc. The bar now has a bright, beautiful, refined, granite surface, new seating. Fabulous design choices have been made. The doors open at 5pm and, you have to get their early to get a seat at the bar 'cause its the place to be. The entire restaurant has been given a gorgeous facelift that is clean, contemporary, modern, yet warm and cozy. After taking it all in visually, we were seated. Service was quick and friendly. We started with each getting a signature cocktail. I had the Pressed Cranberry Cosmo, and hubby had the Tangerine Martini (a special that evening.) Both were delightful. For appetizer, we had the braised beets. It is a tasty salad (perfect for two to share) with braised beets, whipped, ricotta, orange sections, pistachios, and arugula. Delicious - very balanced and bright and full of flavors. For entrees, hubby had the mushroom pappardelle. Scrumptious! Pappardelle pasta gently tossed with mushrooms, peas, shallots and truffle oil(!). Good gracious! This was delectable! The pasta was perfectly cooked and the flavor was truffle-icious! I went for the burger - note - in my photo it is without a bun (I'm watching my carbs.) The burger is called Highland Hollow Beef Burger. I am a meat eater and the flavor of the burger (perfect temp) was a reminder of how much folks accept tasteless burgers. Where's the beef? At Josie's! The burger is adorned with bacon onion jam, cheddar, lettuce, sweet pickle slices, and fries (you can substitute plain fries with truffle parmesan --- which I, of course, did!) I was very happy! We went for another round of drinks - this time, he got the Earl Grey Honey & Lavender Martini and I had the Ginger Lemon Gin Martini. Honestly, it's hard to say which was best because these were absolutely scrumptious! A simply lovely evening, meal, and cocktails. Their menu is modern American that is just right sized enough to offer something for all. They have vegetarian/vegan/gluten free choices, craft cocktails, beers on tap, and nice wine selection. Went here last night with my GF and mom Reservation was easy and simple and we only waited a few mins to sit down. I had the 10 oz ribeye with the truffle parmesan fries and asparagus , steak was really tender and perfectly cooked. My gf had the free range chicken which was very tender and mushroom were a nice touch! My mom had the scallop pasta , 6 scallops came with it , and they were a good size and super succulent and tender. Even the mock tails and desserts were really good , the jalapeño lemonade was blended perfectly and not too spicy but just right. Would definitely go again for sure!!! read more

We were shopping at Stuyvesant Plaza and decided to stop for dinner. First lesson- you should make a reservation. It was not a big deal, as they had seating outside, but they were fully booked inside. There were three of us, and after some debate, we decided to share apps and a salad. We just couldn't decide! We wound up with the crispy Brussels sprouts, the eggplant "meat"balls, bread with honey butter, truffle oil fries, and Josie's Salad with grilled chicken. The service was excellent, the ambiance was lovely, and the food, overall was great. The only downside was the chicken on the salad, which was mushy and weird. Fortunately, they took it off the bill. Everything else was so good that I couldn't decide what I liked best. It was probably the eggplant, though. I really think I would go back just for that. It's a little pricey, but a really nice dining experience with very good food. I would definitely recommend...just skip the "grilled" chicken on the salad. read more

We went bougie and gave Josie's a shot. We made a reservation for the two of us and our toddler. Certainly lots of $$ spent on the decor which often suggests costs may have been spared in the kitchen but everything we had was delicious- Avocado toast, French toast and eggs in pergatory (which our daughter absolutely loved!) server was super attentive too though I could tell the middle-aged couple seated next to us towards the end of our meal wished we would remove our toddler from such a slick established- tough nuggies! Very nice place for elevated brunch, we'll be back to check out the dinner sometime. read more

We stopped in for lunch and were impressed. The decor is comfortable and inviting. Service was friendly and efficient. We ordered the grilled cheese with tomato bisque and the vegetable sandwich. The grilled cheese and vegetable sandwich were delicious. The vegetable sandwich had a delicious spicy spread in the mix that really enhanced the sandwich. The bread was excellent as well. The tomato bisque was a bit too tart and seasoned in a way that made it taste a bit too much like a pasta sauce. Overall, a very nice place to visit for an excellent meal. read more
