I was back in Jonathans for the weekend with some friends for an evening brunch and PM chill... The first time I went here it was a great place with a cool atmosphere. This second visit wasn't so good. The place wasn't as comfy as before. 1. The food was average not as good as before. 2. The HVAC unit was making an awful noise which was very noticeable while trying to talk to your party; need to call HILLER. Just wasn't an good experience this go round. It was funny my party got to the restaurant on Saturday evening at 6PM and there was no waiting!? Now, I tend to look at restaurants that don't have some sort of wait as a sign to whats up with nobody trying to get up in here? Things that make you go m-m-m-m... Well, see why now... Hopefully, they get back to the way they were when they first opened. Cant say I will be back... May try in three months to see if things have turned around. I had a LOL moment also - It was funny when me and my party first arrived there the hostess escorted us to the back to an isolated closed in area that must have been for kids due to there were plenty in this area; It was like a big cry room at a church. We had pass many other tables on this journey to the cry room but I had to let her know that my party wasn't going to sit back here with there being plenty of other tables available... Hands down the best sports bar in the Boro, great staff and even better kitchen. I just recommend you sit in the bar area because service is very slow in the standard dining area. Happy hour is awesome and you can't go wrong with anything in the kitchen. Place is always packed for sporting events so come early. read more

Mostly sandwiches. A decent tap, I had the Bison burger, very good, very filling. Service was decent but this was lunch and the crowd only moderate. The chili was ok, I would add more chili powder but it did have some spice so it is worth having a bowl. This is a good sized sports bar and the dinner crowd fills it up. I'm wishing I could give a 2.5 because 3 seemed a little much but I'll give 3 for Carley our sweet server. The first table we sat at was so horribly wobbly & there was one other table to choose from in the bar because the others were dirty. The employee who saw we were moving because wobbly didn't do anything and just let other sit there with it the way it was. First food runner who came out & couldn't figure out which table to take a plate of egg rolls too was a giggle. By the 3rd person it was kind of sad to see. When our food came things were wrong. I ordered the French dip & asked for white grilled onions or non would be fine & if I could get arugula. When I got the sandwich it had grilled red onions no arugula. When the manager came to the table he was extremely confused about what kind of onions they were & then asked me what arugula was. The server was even thrown off by it. I asked for Aju when it came back just plain. When a woman, a different manager brought it out there was no smile, no friendliness at all from her. Little shocking but shook it off. I will say the sandwich was extremely underwhelming as the meat was overdone & the Brussels lacked a lot of flavor. Guess just Pizza & pretzels from there. One shocking thing was they have fish & chips but no cocktail sauce. As we walked out the female manager was at the from taking peoples names & the way she spoke to people really took us off guard & you could see in guests face it took them off guard. It's frustrating to go somewhere when you feel like the staff really doesn't want to be there. The most positive part was Carley!! She was so sweet & kept trying to make sure things were right & also so busy. We used to go to the one in Bellevue but stopped because of service & food coming out wrong constantly. First, I would like to say that I LOVE the food and service and Jonathan's in Murfreesboro. However, I'm very disappointed in their COVID procedure. I went last week, and ended up ordering my food to go. The table were not distanced and food runners and bar tenders were NOT wearing a mask appropriately. It was very disappointing, as I expected to walk into a restaurant that was attempting to follow CDC guidelines. We waited a while thinking it was just a mistake, but after 20 minutes of consistently seeing the same thing, we realized Jonathan's was no longer the place for us. read more

Jonathan's has a great Happy Hour and 2-1 beers (and many other options) and to compliment the beer some of their delicious Queso + chili and those awesome homemade tortilla chips. Prime Rib was the decision for the evening and they have a 14 oz slow roasted certified Hereford Beef prime rib. They also blackened them for us with spices that were a great compliment to the beef...and they arrived perfectly cooked medium rare. This dish was served with au jus, a baked potato, and a salad. This is my first time trying Jonathan's Prime Rib...and it is one of the better prime rib selections I have had in a long time. Great food and great service...highly recommend. read more

In town for some business and the girls wanted to get a bite to eat. A local girl suggested this restaurant. When we first got there we didn't get enough menus for each person to have their own and we had to bar menu. Eventually we got one and I ordered the Tropical Punch. Yum!!! Doesn't even taste like alcohol. We all split pretzels, fried pickles, and bambam shrimp eggrolls. Fried pickles were on point! For my entree I got the Avocado Club. It was incredible. I didn't think the cranberry bread matched at first but I was proven wrong. Waitress was very attentive and we never ran out of a drink before she could ask if we wanted another and got it to us! Ok so I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I figured it was a bar type atmosphere and I'm not much of a bar fly. They service was excellent and our waitress was very attentive, making everything was alright every time she came by. I ordered something I wasn't sure would be good but it was what I was craving, fajitas with lettuce wrap instead of tortillas. I will have to say it was yummy. My group stuck to favorites tenders,Cobb salad, and bam bam shrimp tacos. All in all I enjoyed my meal and service my only complaints are that the place is way too loud and the tables are way too close together. My wife and I normally like this restaurant a lot and we frequently meet here with our friends and have always a great experience. BUT Tonight we show up with our kids and they seemed a little busy and the hostess was being a little snotty and told us it would be 30-40 minutes. (I think she was snotty because we had our kids) We thought ok no problem and we actually saw some friends and talked to them for about 20minute and came back to the front desk chick and she told us it would still be a 30-40 minute wait. Had dinner one night while traveling for work. Murray a very kind gentlemen to care of me and my coworker very well throughout dinner. He answered all my questions and made suggestions that I followed which provided me with a tasty meal, chicken Alfredo. Murray made this experience wonderful, he was kind, hilarious, and personable. The restaurant was super busy but Murray checked on us several times and made sure we had what we needed. I enjoyed the inside of the restaurant. It was clean, organized, and comfortable. Me and my brother's first time here and we definitely will be back. I heard alot of good things about this place but i just never made it here until one day we both wanted something different so i chose here. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo and it was good, they give you alot of food! For appetizers i ordered the fried pickles and i liked it as well. It wasn't salty or greasy just perfect. My brother ordered the rib eye steak and he said it was delicious. We also had a very good server as well. We didn't have to ask for anything. Well we went there tonight for the first and last time. I ordered the bison burger with no avocado substitute Swiss for provolone add onion and mayo. The only thing they got right was the no avocado. Didn't try the burger but my son ate all of it. The wife had a cheese board. It came with blue cheese, pepper jack, strawberries, grapes, walnuts, olives, crackers, and sausage. I tried all of it. Very good. I had the Baja Fish Tacos. They were pretty good. So you may be wondering why I'd give three stars if I liked everything. Well, it's because it was good... not great. I really enjoyed the food and thought the service was good. It just didn't wow me. Overall, I enjoyed it. It just wasn't the best. Kinda mediocre, run of the mill. I was on the clock so I didn't get to partake in the libations. That's where I figure they shine. But if you're hungry and want a good meal definitely give it a try. It's a cool place to hang out if you wanna grab a bite, either with friends or alone. There are TVs everywhere so there's a lot to keep you entertained. It took a little while for someone to finally greet our table, but it's a big place and can get very busy, so it's understandable. I got the taco salad and it was SO good.
