We have dined at Jonathan's for years. The food is always wonderful and our servers are always exceptional. The only down part to the Murfreesboro location is the individuals at the host stand. Every time we have ever come into the Murfreesboro location, the attitudes of the front of house staff is deplorable. No one greets you with a smile. If you speak to them they look at you like you are annoying them. When we arrived last night, there were at least 9 people waiting by the entrance while 5 of the hosts stood there with their backs turned talking. We come to Jonathan's all the time. But the service has really gone downhill in the bar area. Kassidy was our server. She pretty much ignored us the whole time. We had to flag her down for drinks. She was just useless. Thank you to Diego who stopped by to bus our table since our server did not. He asked us if we needed anything. If only Diego had been our server! Even tho johnathans has been in murfreesboro for a while we only just now tried it because we couldn't decide on anything else. We were sat but never waited on. After about 20 mins of sitting and never meeting a waiter, we decided to just get up and leave. In that time we did look over the menu and nothing really called out to us anyway. Seemed expensive for nothing that sounded good. read more

This is a pretty typical sports bar. Large menu. Food was fine, but it was the lack of health precautions that made me feel led to write my review today. We probably should have left to eat somewhere else, as I was uncomfortable several times during our meal. I only saw one server wearing a mask. Straws were not in wrappers and servers touch them with their bare hands and put them in your drink for you. Tables were somewhat spread apart, but the bar area was very crowded. They do not have paper menus and do not offer contactless payment. There was a small table with hand sanitizer. The staff was kind and the food was ok, but we won't be back until either the number of Covid cases in our county goes down or there are more mandates on restaurants in terms of health and safety protocol. read more

I absolutely love Johnathan's. It has become my go-to restaurant. I live nearby so it's not far, the atmosphere is amazing. I tend to sit outside on their patio. The servers are great. There happy hour is M-F. It comes in handy right after I clock out for the day. read more

Depending on what you get the food is good. However the last time I went I found a hair in my food. Although the server took it back, the manager did not come over to apologize which, in my experience typically happens and is overall a good move for business. Came here with my husband, my friend, and both our babies and it was a perfect experience. Our server was amazing with our little girls and had great recommendations! Food was awesome! As a 56 year old male, I have had my share, and then some, of Rib Eyes. I come from Salem, Mass and I have had the best Rib Eye of my life at Johnathans. Wow. I was amazed on my first bite. The flavoring was and is outstanding. This cut and serving will put Texas Roadhouse out of business. Johnathans has left a remarkable impression on my tastebuds that has to be repeated when I return. This place is very mid. Maybe slightly above, but overall just eh ‍. The appetizers were good, but everything was cold or luke warm (entrees included) We ordered the dirty pineapple to drink. It tasted like the juice had been watered down. It tasted like straight up rum and water. The steaks were over cooked and didn't have a good flavor. They were seasoned. This is the 3rd time I have eaten at this location. Every time there is something wrong with the order. This time I was craving wings and thought I would give theirs a try. WHAT a MISTAKE!!! The medium wing sauce tasted like it had sugar added to it. I asked for Blue cheese, celery and carrots. I got what looked like milk. Very warm, very runny and hardly any taste. It came with 1 carrot 3/8" X 3/8" X 3 inches long and 1 piece of limp celery about 3 1/2 inches long. 5/30/2021 Party of 3. Walked in at approximately 12:00 for lunch. Waitress initially came over and took our drink orders and then disappeared until 12:15 before taking our order even though she walked by our table several times making eye contact. She came to the table at 12:25 and took our order. While this was happening a party of 4 with a different waitress had their order taken and delivered and as we walked out at 12:55 with no food or any other contact from our waitress I noticed that the party of 4 had several at their table finished with their food. I'm in town for the week for business. I'm staying at the hotels behind Jonathan's and let me tell you this place is rocking. I came in Tuesday to a full house and luckily found a seat at the bar. The bartenders told me about all the games going on and reasons they were so busy. It's awesome to see businesses thrive after such a hard year. Two ladies and a guy behind the bar were so awesome to me that night i had to come back the next day. The food and drinks were amazing. The guy bartender told me to get pizza rolls and was very knowledgeable about all the beers they had. Came back Yesterday to another awesome experience. Great place. Cant remember the bartender's name but he was an African American male and proceeded to call the server a 'Ratchet B****'. Very sad about my latest experience at this Jonathan's location. Long story short, there was a baby roach in my house salad... the server saw it crawling in my salad & agreed it was disgusting and quickly took my plate away. She assured the manager would remove it from the bill. However, I was offered nothing in place of it & was really surprised when no one (specifically the manager) came to the table to apologize. Needless to say, none of us had an appetite after the fiasco. I know it was not the server's fault that it happened, but I wish there had been a little more done about it, even if it was just a sincere apology from the manager. First time here and rather disappointed. Walked in to the restaurant where 4 hosts stood at the greeting table. I said "two, please" only to be cut off by a host with her back turned towards me and her face barely far enough to see us saying "you can seat yourself." Didn't even turn around. Completely rude. She was leaned up against the wall during our whole meal just looking sloppy and very unprofessional. The food was okay. My husband got the horseshoe. Waaaay too much cheese and queso. I had the aloha flatbread. Good but a little burnt around the edges. Our server was nice but it was weird to see all of the servers gathered around the computer hanging out in the middle of the restaurant hugging and holding on to each other. At one point at least 8 servers and hosts were hanging out together very casually while we waited for drinks and checks. Glad we tried it but don't think we'll ever be back. This is more of an upscale sports bar. Nice variety in the menu. We had pizza and chicken wings. Both were good. They have a very nice draft beer selection. IPA's, lager, Stout, Amber, and your typical beers, too. Go enjoy! read more
