Dr. Wilcox and his team are simply amazing. They helped me conceive my first two children and are now assisting with trying for number three. They have always been super responsive, informative, and caring. They are incredible at what they do and their expertise is unparalleled. Thank you Dr. Wilcox and team! read more

Dr. Wilcox is excellent, reliable, and matter-of-fact (in a good way). When my husband and I first came in to his office, we talked about our history. We had been trying to get pregnant for more than 2 years with no luck and were diagnosed with "unexplained infertility." He explained the various procedures available at HRC and recommended that we go straight to IVF. We were surprised to hear that he thought we should do IVF and we immediately disagreed with this assessment (mostly because we just couldn't believe it!). Dr. Wilcox understood our reaction and walked us through our other options. After that initial meeting, we went through 2 rounds of IUI's. Each IUI went smoothly, but resulted in no pregnancies. We debated whether or not to do IVF after our second IUI and decided to take a break for a few months. During this break we tried acupuncture, gluten-free diets, everything! When nothing worked again (surprise, surprise), we decided to come back to HRC and talk to Dr. Wilcox. Dr. Wilcox explained all of the steps for IVF and made us feel comfortable in our decision to move forward. It was scary to take such an extreme step to get pregnant, but we felt that we had exhausted every resource and we knew that it was finally time. I am ecstatic to say that after our very first round of IVF and almost three years of depressing infertility, I am now pregnant with twins!! Dr. Wilcox answered all of my questions along the way and even did little dance after he confirmed that I was, indeed, pregnant. I cannot thank Dr. Wilcox enough and I recommend him highly. read more

I have the most beautiful 2 year old daughter because of Dr Wilcox help! Thank you so much!!

Dr. Wilcox is truly a doctor's doctor. You come to him for one reason: RESULTS. It is not happenstance that he has earned one of the HIGHEST SUCCESS rates in the country. His treatment plans are derived through a combination extensive training, a multitude of interdisciplinary experience, and a firm grip on peer reviewed studies. Despite his large case load, he manages his team and your experience with precision. Unfortunately, my wife and I begin IVF with another Reproductive Endocrinologist and were left with a complete failure (eight eggs harvested with no fertilization). This is very rare with ICSI. To make matters worse, we were told to start considering a sperm donor after just one cycle. Following a careful review of our previous cycle, Dr Wilcox outlined a clear cut plan to get us pregnant. He completely set our minds at ease, which admittedly is not an easy task. My wife and I wanted to hear the very minute details of his treatment plan, and he was happy to oblige. Furthermore, we wanted to hear why he believed that his methods were going to yield better results than our previous cycle. He changed my wife's medication regimen, carefully monitored her follicle progression and hormone levels (changing her dosing as needed), altered collection methods, and wallah (although definitely not that simple) we are EXPECTING TWINS. If you are looking for your best shot at a family, SEE Dr. Wilcox. You may have to wait a little longer to see him, but he is well worth the wait! read more

Dr. Wilcox is wonderful. Because of him and his wonderful staff and colleagues, my husband and I are now four months pregnant with a healthy baby. He is the best doctor I have ever had, and if humans were only given their choice of one doctor for their entire lifetime, I would choose him. Go to Dr. Wilcox for any of your infertility needs. You'll be getting the best of the best. Best wishes, and keep the faith. read more

Dr Wilcox is very kind, friendly, humorous, knowledgeable, and absolutely professional at all times! There is one night where I really had an emergency and needed to reach Dr Wilcox at that specific moment. Believe or not, he actually answered my phone call himself at 2 am in the morning. Even though it was at 2 am in the morning, he was still very kind and patient with me and provided me his best professional suggestions/instructions to me over the phone. My special thanks also goes to the nurses Teresa, Nanettte, and Ana. They all helped me tremendously through out my whole IVF cycle. I really appreciated everything they have done for me. Now my husband and I am expecting our very first baby girl, for sure, we will go back to HRC for our baby #2 when we are ready again~ read more

I am writing this review on behalf of my wife. After three failed cycles at another facility, Dr. John Wilcox was able to get us pregnant on his first attempt. It was a blessing to find him and we truely appreciate his knowledge and chairside manner. He is the real deal! Thanks Dr. Wilcox. read more

This review is way overdue. Two moms family here. Everyday when I look at my beautiful kids (4 and 1), I'm reminded how blessed we are to have met Dr Wilcox. Our fertility journey wasn't an easy one (due to other medical issues and bad egg quality), but looking back, Dr Wilcox always gave us advice in accordance to what's in our best interests. I concur with all the other comments about his honesty. Some people may not like it because he will turn you down just so you don't waste your money, but that should speak volume about what kind of doctor he is. He is honest and ethical. We also had to contact him in a situation of emergency on a Sunday after hour. He personally called us back and took the time to comfort us and provide us with his guidance. Honestly, he is so booked and he doesn't really need this review or any review to help him get new patients. But I just really believe he is here on this earth to help some people become parents! I trust him with my life, and I am incredibly grateful that he was our fertility doctor! read more

I suppose it is easy to write a good review about a doctor that helps you get pregnant immediately after trying for years, BUT beyond that Dr Wilcox is a great doctor, and when we "graduated" to going to our regular Obgyn... we didnt want to leave Dr Wilcox and his team. Everything about this office is timely. My emails were answered right away, the nurses are always available (phone or email). We never waited more than 5-10 min in the waiting room. We never felt rushed with the doctor. Each person on the staff was incredibly attentive. Aside from all of that, Dr Wilcox did a great job of increasing our chances of getting pregnant after 1 IUI. We are pregnant with Twins. The doctor had us come in almost every 10 days from conception to make sure that the babies were doing fine. We are going to miss the Doctor and his staff. read more

Dr. Wilcox is the best doctor ever and definitely a good choice for your fertility needs. My husband and I moved here from another state and were looking for a good fertility doctor and had no clue where to go. We had previously seen another clinic and had started receiving some treatments, but were unsuccessful. I had told our former doctor that I did not want to do IVF. I searched best fertiility doctors in the nation and found HRC Fertility. I also set up an appt with a renowned clinic in the LA area. I was not impressed with the organization of the second clinic. I canceled my appt with them. HRC Fertility was very organized and friendly from the very begginning. I learned that we would be working with Dr. Wilcox. I read his credentials and was excited to meet him since he seemed very qualified. Dr. Wilcox was very professional, confident, friendly, he read all of charts and knew our history and he explained about different treatments. He said that based our health history and age that we were good candidates for IVF. He was confident that we would have success in the first round. I didn't understand how he could be so sure of himself, but his confidence helped us to decide that "yes" we would do IVF. He showed us his success rates and that was very impressive. He said that he didn't want us to have to keep going through other "non-agressive" treatments to just be disappointed and discovering that you are not pregnant once agan. He helped us restore "hope" again. Dr. Wilcox was right, we became preganant on our first attempt. It was a miracle. Dr. Wilcox was a big part of our success. Dr. Wilcox and his team took excellent care of us. Dr. Wilcox called me at least 3 different times to answer my questions. He was the one to tell us the good news. His nurses would answer all my emails and phone calls as well. We will forever be grateful. We know everyone situations are different, but having Dr. Wilcox to help you is a good choice. read more

Dr. Wilcox and his amazing nurses and staff are the best. Dr. Wilcox is patient, understanding and knowledgeable. His nurses (particularly, Ana, Rachel and Tiffany - they are the ones who attended to me) are fantastic. Professional and caring. They listened to my cares and concerns, they were responsive and they patiently answered my myriad of questions anytime I emailed. I felt like everyone was on my team in the sense that they wanted me to conceive successfully (of course!). While that is stating the obvious, I truly felt like they cared about my wellbeing. I have them to thank for my pregnancy (and careful, constant monitoring with necessary supplements until the second trimester). I am so thankful I came to them. read more

One word to describe Dr. Wilcox and his entire staff...AWESOME!. Truly the best fertility specialist & Team for my husband and I. Dr. Wilcox is amazing! I love his nursing team as well. Gladdys is so sweet! My entire experience at HRC has been good (as good as an infertility experience can be). Dr. Wilcox and his crew were wonderful. They made sure to meet all my needs and were very good with regular communication. I only ever met Dr. Wilcox one time, but he was professional, kind and concerned about my comfort. There is so much involved with surrogacy and IVF than many realize and with all that is done they helped make the process go as smoothly as possible. The only thing I wish I would have known earlier in the process was how much I needed to go in for blood work and ultrasound appointments to better prepare myself and manage my time following the transfer. read more

Dr. Wilcox is a personable, caring, intelligent, and professional doctor. As a first time surrogate, I had many questions. He always took the time to answer each question directly without giving hints of annoyance or rushing. He always made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease. My nurse, Teresa, was always prompt in returning e-mails or phone calls with any questions I had about medications or procedures. I live in Texas but have had no problem going to CA for my doctor visits. Well worth the travel time. Dr. Wilcox is the best in the business! My wife and I did a ton of research prior to selecting an IVF Doctor. He is extremely professional and direct. He is not looking to pad his pockets. Dr. Wilcox, his nurses, Nanette and Ana, and the entire staff of HRC have given my husband and I an invaluable gift. Dr. Wilcox guided us through the process of two IUI's and one cycle of IVF. Dr. Wilcox is professional and highly skilled in his field. Because of this, we were able to place our confidence and our trust in him completely. We truly believe we could not have found anyone more knowledgeable in guiding us into something we never thought we'd be a part of. We will never be able to truly express our gratitude for the work Dr. Wilcox has dedicated his life to. We will absolutely be back for round 2 and we look forward to sending our birth announcement to HRC in March 2017. read more

I feel extremely fortunate that we found Dr. Wilcox. He is definitely the best and truly has a dream team! After two consecutive miscarriages in my late 30s, being desperate and eager to start a family, my husband and I decided to try IVF. In our initial consultation, I brought in all my medical reports. Dr. Wilcox patiently reviewed all and provided his candid feedback in terms of treatment plans, his confidence level of success, and costs. We were both convinced he was the doctor would make our dream come true. And he proved us right. I got pregnant on our first try! And now, I have two beautiful babies! Dr. Wilcox is professional, experienced, genuine, and caring. He and his team made the emotionally and physically challenging process so much easier. One tip I have to mention, definitely take advantage of the HRC seminars. I went to the seminar given by Dr. Wilcox. Guess what, we won a free IVF cycle! Yes, from that cycle, I got pregnant!!! read more

Dr. Wilcox and his team are amazing. They were knowledgeable, understanding, and accessible (his team was quick to answer my millions of emails). Dr. Wilcox is great; he was always happy to listen to our concerns, and he gave us full confidence that he knew what he was doing. The clinic is fantastic too; our appointments almost never ran late, and the facilities were very nice. When I got pregnant and had to "graduate" to an obgyn, I actually didn't want to leave, haha. Thanks to them my husband and I now have a beautiful baby girl! read more

Navigating the world of IVF and surrogacy can be an intimidating prospect, it's even more intimidating when you're a single parent. Everything was new to me and a major part of the process was choosing a clinic that would be clear, concise and candid about the process. I found Dr. Wilcox and the staff at HRC clinic made the process smooth and easy to understand. Dr. Wilcox took the time to explain important details which helped me choose an egg donor who would yield the best chances for success and his feedback was critical in choosing the ultimate donor. He was 100% accurate in his estimation of viable embryos and his step-by-step explanation of procedures was professional, patient and left me at ease. Teresa and the rest of Dr. Wilcox's staff was equally professional, timely in their communications and when the pregnancy became viable, provided heartfelt congratulations, which meant a great deal. I am happy to report my daughter was born healthy and brings joy to my life everyday. Thanks to Dr. Wilcox and his staff at HRC. read more

It took me a couple of years to get over the disappointment and sadness in order to write this review. I am a healthcare provider myself for 17 years so I had seen almost everything but my wife and I felt that we were not being treated right at HRC. Dr. Wilcox comes across as very nice, gentle person, who would give us the highest hope and the prettiest outcome, "gorgeous ,perfect ovaries", ,etc.... One compliment after another. The morning of the transplant , a very rude, very poor bedside manner embryologist (I believed was Dr. Tran), cruelly summed it up within 30 seconds as: "your eggs were of poor quality, the procedure is cancelled, talk to your Dr." and abruptly left the room. We were in shock because according to Dr. Wilcox, everything was perfect, we were not offered much of explanation from either Drs, but we were told that if we wanted to try again, a discount will be given. We knew going in that there was no guaranty with IVF, but felt that Dr. Wilcox and his staff really let us down. They really need to be more compassionate to desperate couples who spent countless time, money and expectation and should not let their hopes be destroyed in 30 seconds. read more

Where do I even begin...There are so many things to be said about how wonderful Dr Wilcox and his staff are. We have been going to Dr Wilcox for the last 4 years and wouldn't have it any other way!!!! We have our beautiful 3 year old son and that was after the very first cycle 4 years ago. We have been trying for #2 for close to two years now and even though, because of my challenging condition we have been unsuccessful, I am comforted by the compassionate, empathetic, caring, patient, supportive, realistic, and financially accommodating support that Dr Wilcox has provided us. He has been the best possible Physician I could have ever imagined working with. I consider him more like a family member than a Dr and I am forever grateful I landed in his path. Because of him, what could have been an otherwise difficult journey, has been a blessing and a true miracle. I will forever hold him and his staff dear to my heart and If you want the best possible experience to start or continue building your family, look no further! You will experience the BEST RE in the world and have an amazing experience on your journey to share with your future children and grandchildren one day! He really is a miracle and a blessing! Good luck for all of you starting your journey! "Sometimes the most difficult roads often lead to the most beautiful destinations." This is a quote I have carried with me and i hope it provides support during your own special journeys! God Bless!!!! read more

Dr. Wilcox is the best! I went to him following the recommendation of my primary care doctor at USC Keck. I was not disappointed. What I like most about him is how candid he is about the process - including the costs and the probabilities of success. I felt immediately at ease with him during our first meeting when he said that he deals in "probability and not possibility," which he followed by telling me that my probability of pregnancy was really low as a 42 year old. While he suggested I go through an egg donor (due to its higher probability), I decided to go through at least one process of IVF before going the egg donor route (knowing that my probability was really low). He didn't dissuade me from going my chosen route and was very supportive and positive throughout the process. His nurses are also amazing: they were incredibly thorough and updated me with tests results quickly. I felt like they were holding my hand through this very emotionally taxing process. Fast forward - I am now 8 weeks pregnant (after trying for more than 2 years before meeting Dr. Wilcox)! read more

Dr. Wilcox is a brilliant doctor, an excellent surgeon, and very supportive and caring. He is passionate about making babies, and fully devoted to helping his patients achieve their dream of starting a family. We had already had a negative experience with another fertility doctor when we decided to look around and have consultations with a few other doctors. We talked to friends, got referrals, researched online, and set up appointments with 3 doctors. We met with Dr. Wilcox first and knew right away that he was the right doctor for us. We cancelled the other consultations. My husband and I were impressed with his intelligence and expertise within minutes of meeting Dr. Wilcox. He has some of the highest success rates of any doctor, and he will always be direct and honest about what's happening with your IVF cycle. Infertility and IVF are very stressful and emotional, and I don't know how we would have gotten through it with another doctor. Dr. Wilcox is always calm and gentle. I looked forward to my appointments because he always made me feel more relaxed about the process. I had lots of concerns and questions, and there were several times when Dr. Wilcox sat down and spent 30 minutes or more explaining things to me. I've never experienced that level of care from a physician before! Our first IVF cycle didn't take because I responded poorly to the drugs. He knew exactly which drug to add and which doses to adjust, and now after a second IVF cycle I am 9 1/5 weeks pregnant and the baby is doing great! Dr. Wilcox has continued to respond to my phone calls and address my concerns throughout early pregnancy, and has had me in for several visits so he can closely monitor the baby's progress and make sure everything's going well. I'd also like to mention the rest of the HRC staff. All of Dr. Wilcox's nurse coordinators are great. They are kind, understanding, and supportive. They really take the time to go over injection instructions and other protocol and make sure you understand what you need to do. They also arranged for me to have the procedure room for an extra hour before and after embryo transfer so I could have my acupuncturist come in and give me treatments. read more

We first started an IVF cycle at another IVF location but both fresh & FET cycle failed. While we were looking for other clinic options, a friend recommend us to try it out at HRC Pasadena w/ Dr. Wilcox. Dr. Wilcox is a very professional doctor that will go to a certain extend to spend extra effort for the benefits of his patients. After our first IVF cycle w/ Dr. Wilcox, our surrogate is pregnant. We are forever grateful to Dr. Wilcox and his nurse Teresa for helping us. We will come back to visit Dr. Wilcox and Teresa when we are back to LA, and again for our FET cycles for another sibling for our baby in the near future. Thank you Dr. Wilcox and Teresa! :) read more

After the experience I had with Dr. Wilcox, I had to write a review! Here are some thoughts on the doctor and his staff first and then I'll share our story. Dr. John Wilcox: Excellent! This doctor knows how to balance care and honesty. He guided us through some tough times with realistic expectations and kindness. Not a man of many words, don't expect him to sit around and ask you about your latest home project. Instead, he will give you the details you need and not waste your time. But the man knows his stuff and I always felt like I was in the most capable hands! Wilcox staff: Love Anna and Stephanie! These ladies explained everything thoroughly and had the compassion to make you feel safe in an emotional time. Our story: My husband and I sought out HRC Pasadena after we received results about low sperm morphology percentages from a traditional OB (my initial screening came back normal). We work in Pasadena so it was convenient and the reviews online made HRC Pasadena seem like a pretty good place. I didn't call and request a specific doctor, but the good Lord took care of us and we were placed with Dr. John Wilcox. Turns out that Dr. Wilcox has one of the best success rates around! Little did he know what a battle he had on his hands with us. After all the pretests and planning, we elected for 1 round of IVF with ICSI. Dr. Wilcox said with my age (27) and tests looking good, we should have no problem with one round. Unfortunately, after the egg retrieval, Dr. Wilcox called me himself to tell us the bad news. We learned that I have a rare issue where I do not respond to the hormone that causes the eggs to mature. In the words of Dr. Wilcox, I was an anomaly of which he had only seen a handful of times in his long career. So our first round was a bust with no embryos to show for it even though over a dozen eggs had been retrieved. Dr. Wilcox consulted with us after I recovered and was honest about our options. Most likely, this would continue to happen and, unfortunately, there was very little research on this issue because it is so rare. He suggested a "verification" round of IVF to see if it happened again and he would adjust my meds to give me everything he possibly could. He also kindly "grandfathered" us in under the 2 round IVF price, saving us some money. So the game plan was another round of IVF with ICSI with more and different meds. Rather then the traditional "trigger" shot, I was going to be given the "trigger" that egg donors receive. This would mean any embryos made would have to be frozen, as that "trigger" does not prepare you for pregnancy. Then at the last moment, Dr. Wilcox changed the treatment again giving me a combination of "triggers," something he had never done before, but was hopeful it would work! On the day of my retrieval, Dr. Wilcox quickly checked with the embryologist on the eggs to see if they had the same issue. Again they were maturing slowly so only time would tell. PRAISE THE LORD we learned that some of the eggs had actually matured enough to be fertilized and 6 embryos made it to 5-day-blasts! We were ecstatic and Dr. Wilcox was thrilled! We waited the necessary time and scheduled the Frozen Embryo Transfer to transfer 2. Unfortunately, neither of those took. We were so heartbroken, but Dr. Wilcox was determined! We tried again and on the second FET we transferred another 2. PRAISE THE LORD again, one actually took! I am now 14 weeks and was discharged from HRC to a traditional OB over a month ago. As you can tell, we've had quite the ride, but are grateful to HRC Pasadena and team Wilcox. Dr. Wilcox was honest and helpful, not trying to up-sell us on the procedures to do or the path we should take. We are grateful for Dr. Wilcox and are looking forward to welcoming our first little blessing this April! read more

First I want to say if I can turn back time I would. I was impressed by the reviews of his medical success rates. After seeing him for all of 2017 I feel I wasted a year on a physician that didn't take my case seriously. First of all I went theough two clomid cycles to induce ovulation that failed. Dr. wilcox then recommended injectable ovulation stimulation inkections which are very expensive and usually not covered by insurances. His exact words were "The injectables will work". Guess what they didnt work. I spent 1,000 dollars on one cycle that failed. To male matters worse when I left him a message to call me back to discuss my failed treatments his nise told me he is too busy to return my calls. The nurses tolf me that he wanted me to wait until my next period to come in get checked out again and then he would answer my qiestions. I think this is really unprofesional to not return a call to a patient when they have invested their hopes in a baby and the money. I felt so disapointed in his care and to make things worse when I requested all my medical recods for that year he saw me the girl in medical records couldn't provide me with not one single progress note. I fo believe he has too many patients that he can't provide the proper quality of care every patient deserves. In the other hand his great reviews are in IVF which makes me suspect he only takes wealthy patients seriously. I would save yourself the harship and pain and take your business elsewhere. I am in the medical profession and know the standards of care and this is not what he provides. read more

We came to Dr. Wilcox several years ago in hopes to grow our small family and with much hesitation in the process and reality of it all working. I have had the greatest experience being a patient of Dr. Wilcox'. I was under his care for 1.5 years and against all odds he got me pregnant. He personalized all the IVF treatments and medications based on how my body was responding. This to me is the greatest health care one can get. He was encouraging and supportive but at the same time gave me all the facts straight. I had heard several people mention his name before I joined as a patient and I totally support all the raving reviews about his expertise and professionalism. I also felt that he truly cared about my wellbeing and was gentle and considerate during my visits. His staff is great too, especially Teresa. If ever in doubt, she's the person to contact. Overall, HRC is a great center, everybody was very polite. The phlebotomists (Hasmin) and the people handling the finances (Julia and Kimberly) were also terrific. I have nothing but great love and appreciation for Dr. Wilcox, his team and HRC and consider myself lucky to have found him. He made things happen for me, wishing people the same. read more

Dr. Wilcox is a super star fertility specialist. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and skilled in his practice. I felt comfortable asking him questions without being judged or looked down upon for my lack of knowledge about my own fertility. From beginning to end, Dr. Wilcox maintained a high level of professionalism administering care. I was able to conceive with only one IUI cycle, which was a surprise for us because of our history with other doctors and procedures. I recently graduated to my OB and was honestly sad to sign medical release documents and pay my last bill. Thank you so much Dr. Wilcox, Nanette, Ana, and Hasmik (my amazing phlebotomist and birthday twin). I felt cared for, respected, and important every single day I visited HRC for an appointment. If you find yourself in the position of having to choose a doctor for fertility treatment, I would highly recommend Dr. Wilcox. We had gone to one other doctor for a consultation before Dr. Wilcox but it was not a good fit as that doctor was patronizing towards my husband. When we met with Dr. Wilcox for the initial consultation, he was very warm and empathetic. He looked over our information and came up with a tentative plan on the spot just based on statistics (he really knows his stuff). When the results of some of the testing he had ordered came back, we had to alter the treatment plan from IUI to IVF in order for the treatment to be successful. When we started the treatments, everyone was very friendly and easy to work with. It made a very painful experience tolerable. Everyone from the front desk, to the phlebotomists, to his care coordinator/team (Teresa was wonderful), to Dr. Wilcox! He is very knowledgeable and bases all his decisions on science and statistics (not emotion). I always felt confident that he was doing the BEST thing possible. The road to pregnancy wasn't perfect. We did have two unsuccessful IVF treatments but in the end we were successfully pregnant with our third try and we welcomed our twin girls in April 2018. Along the way, whenever I had questions or concerns, Dr. Wilcox and his team were a phone call or e-mail away. It's not a position anyone wants to be in but if you find yourself looking for a team, I'd say at least make a consultation appointment with him to talk to him first hand. Thanks again to HRC, team Wilcox, and Dr. Wilcox! read more
